Your fishing has improved greatly. Topwaters are an important part of the arsenal and usually there best in the early morning or late evening. Great video
Got the trout. I call it a quick catch and release. Great content. BTW...love the new boat. I have a 106 PDL, but looking to get the 106MK for my birthday in March. Tight Lines
Gangs was great today. Lots of reds. On my way back to the sportsman ramp, with redfish in tow on the stringer, a shark decided he wanted them more than me. It was crazy to have it happen. Plus, those stinky pants stringers aren't cheap. Lost a stringer and had the tip of my suppressor Light action break today...still a good day.
That sucks. When I was in probably 7 or 8th grade I had a shark steal a Sheepshead head from my stringer while we were at the floodgate in Texas City. It Was pretty sketchy dang thing shook the whole kayak.
Man, it's been pretty dead in the Freeport/ Surfside area since June ended. Guess that Storm screwed everything up for the bank fisherman. I was tearing up Flounders, Specs, Sandtrouts & the pesky Gaftops & Hardheads during May & June 31st. Especially at the Jetties using the Corky Fattie Texas Chicken Lure. Smoking huge Spec's,limiting out in 10min or less. I haven't caught a slot Red in over 30yrs. My Son & I are looking for a Couple of Old Town 120 PDL's. We're saving for 2 brand new Old Town's Kayaks also. I did catch a few flounders at the Mouth of the Brazos using live mullet but the seaweed has moved in. There's a cut that goes into a bay system straight across the Mouth of Brazos that is loaded with Trapped Reds & Flounders, according to a Jackson Kayaks Redfishing Team Sponsored Angler that i spoke with in June. He went across & pre-fished that area for an Upcoming Redfish Tournament & limited out in a few minutes but said they had lock jaw at 1st & then he started using a crystal clear paddle tail & he said that turned them on & he did give me a few of those. I guess he makes them or someone does, I haven't seen any see thru paddle tails like these anywhere. He said if you targeting Reds & they won't hit? Throw that clear paddle tail & they'll smoke it.. Tight Lines🤟
I love the old town kayaks. They are very heavy but the stability and comfort along with its ability to draft in like 6” of water is crazy. And I can agree with the crystal color thing. When I’m throwing clear paddle tails I never seem to have trouble getting on em.
There is no way a game warden can determine if you foul hooked a fish unless he or she sees you do it. That was a bull rule that they made so they can screw people over.
It’s not illegal catch. If you try and snag a game fish then that is illegal
Oh that’s good to know then. thanks for the info.
Nice trip man, watching your dad first and later your I have the whole trip from two sides 👏😂😂

Nice work man, be careful with that topwater, it's addictive!

Great job on that first top water red. Often I'll keep a top water tide on all day. I don't buy into it only being a morning thing.
No....it would not count on a tournament..... nice fish nonetheless 👍👍
Awesome video
Thank you!!
Try the top water a bit faster. Then after every six pops stop it then go again
I’ll give that a try my next time out. Had some success this morning got an undersized slam.

Appreciate it brother!!
Water is low there, that’s my favorite spot to fish, when was this? I’m planning on fishing there this weekend
That was this last Monday. Fishing low tide incoming on the morning.
Nice
Have you tried the zman lures I really don't care for the zman shrimp but the swimming mullet is pretty good
Haven’t tried them yet, but I’m on my last pack of shimmer swimmers so I’ll be in the market for a new paddle tail soon.
New sub ! Liked 🙏👏😘
