Awesome, finally found someone who actually goes after them snappers, the action is non stop and fierce if you find a good school. Anywhere in a deep harbor where there are bulkheads and rocks near points and bends, they will be there. You really do not need live shrimp, fresh does just as good but then again if you are after multi species the live will always be better but those mangroves will hit anything that looks and smell like forage that swims along those structure. Those size snappers fry up good whole but most people there prefer their fish fillet which is why that species is neglected it is a mentality you cannot get out of people in Texas fresh or salt. I used to work a hardhat diver in the gulf, never ever did I ever seen a whole fish served whole on any rig, semi, or barge. Now I live near Texoma and the fillet fish mentality is the same. Love you these snapper vids, hopefully it warms up and they start coming back in for you. I do miss the salt now that I am 6 hours away but I am surrounded by the best fresh lakes and I whack fish all year round.
Nice video. Not sure if you have Mojarra down there. It's a silver perch or shad . That bait attracts the larger mangroves. When I use shrimp I catch the smaller ones as well. But Mojarra or even the mullet grabs the monsters. Great video. Subscribed.
Thanks for your concern bud. FYI they don’t really arrest people here in my area they’re more considerate towards us local fishermen. Thats why I called them “friendly neighborhood coastguard” in some of my previous videos. Verbal warning is the right words I should say. They’re not tyrant here.. Thats why we liked them and give them the respect that they deserved.
Woah easy now.. male KAREN! 😂 “a person who hunts or catches game or fish illegally - That’s a poacher you taking about. In Texas we don’t have bag limit and size limit so do some research first before you open up your mouth. 😂
Poacher is definitely uncalled for. Richard was well in his legal limits. But, I feel Richard’s reaction is a bit excessive. The amount of fish you took is concerning, and I hope they didn’t go to waste.

We’re from Freeport Tx surfside. Let me know when you come down here I’ll take you out fishing.
Richard I know this spot can be sketchy as there are security safety zones that are off limits as per the coast guard. Be careful you can get arrested

@@RPAadventures Respect them by repeatedly breaking the rules to get what sounds like repeated warnings? Interesting take I guess.
Naku kuya. Mahal ang ticket pag nadali ka ng coast guard dyan. Asa security zone ka
No I’m not. 🤣
Mabuti naman kuya. Ingat lng
Opo aware po kmi d2 mron po barrier dyan sa kaliwa bawal po sa luoban banda. 😊
