I would like just about anything with Agnes Moorehead. She was my favorite character actress of all time!
THANK YOU for posting this ! I've always adored the late great Agnes Moorehead. I don't recall seeing this TV commercial at all. I've read that performers can make a lot of money appearing in ads. Bless her heart !!

The first lady of "Suspense"! AKA one of the greatest classic radio series ever to travel through the airwaves, originating from the Columbia Broadcasting System.
Fun to see....she was so glamorous! I loved her in everything. I visited her crypt in Memorial Park in Dayton, Ohio while there for work.
Many years ago, my boss, new to the USA, was introduced to Coffee Mate and its competitor Cremora, at roughly the same time. He would sometimes conflate the two brand names, asking for his coffee to be fixed with "Cremate".
A travel agent friend of mine would conflate "Cunard" with "Aer Lingus." Don't ask me what he said.

I adored her as Endora in Bewitched.
And she HATED playing Endora
It always seems like I only watched Bewitched for Agnes...when she was onscreen.💖 She's one of my favorite actressss.
The best performance of her career came in " The Magnificent Ambersons! "
@@tourcreole854 I heard she disliked the idea of doing a sitcom, but the character intrigued her. Over the run of the show she imbued Endora with much of her own style and glamour, if a bit more OTT!

Yes, I remember watching this commercial. It is amazing and sad how abrasive modern advertising has become. Nice to see the old ads again.

Notice how these days virtually none of the ads are alluring soft sells. Pretty much all are hard sells hardcore in-your-face and a dumbed down style.

MOOREHEAD'S DEATH FROM RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT?!? - Moorehead died of uterine cancer on April 30, 1974 (was her cancer and death from the radioactive fallout?) in Rochester, Minnesota, aged 73. Her sole immediate survivor was her mother Mary, who died in 1990, aged 106. Moorehead may have developed cancer from radioactive fallout from atmospheric atomic bomb tests while making The Conqueror with John Wayne in St. George, Utah. Several production members, as well as Wayne himself, Susan Hayward, Pedro Armendáriz (who died by suicide) and its director Dick Powell, later succumbed to cancer and cancer-related illnesses. The cast and crew totaled 220 people. By the end of 1980, as ascertained by People, 91 of them had developed some form of cancer, and 46 had died of the disease.

As a coffee snob with my cafetiere, coffee machine, tamping and various hip roasts, and yes good quality instants, Agnes could possibly make me drink Coffee Mate, just with that voice and those eyes!

As a small boy watching Bewitched in the mid '60's I used to hate Endora because she was mean to Aunt Clara. Today, of course, I realize what phenomenal talent she was. R.I.P. Miss Moorehead.

@Crashing Comet I know that many of the cast were gay, but Agnes Moorehead was not. The rumor began with her ex-husband, and because she was not fond of Paul Lynde (whom I loved), nor did she care for Dick Sargent, they claimed that she was a lesbian, as well. Her best friend, Debbie Reynolds, as well as other well known actors stated many times that this was an untrue statement about her sexuality. I believe that she was a strong enough woman that she would not have hidden such a thing.
@Crashing Comet Since Ms. Moorehead is no longer here and cannot defend herself against such allegations, can we just honor her memory by letting it rest? Only God truly knows what went on in her private life behind closed doors, and only He can judge. RIP Ms. Moorehead 💔
@Crashing Comet Marion Lorn was not Gay she was a Widow She and her Late Husband where Married for over 30yrs as for Agnes Morehead all the Adults who knew her have said she was not Gay but she was Gay Supportive because she worked in theater so she knew Many Gay Actor's She was a Very Religious Woman and Frequently Carried her Bible on the Set and would be Seen Sitting Quietly Reading and Studying it little known Fact She and her Second Husband Adopted a Son it is said he Ran away to live with his Father as a Teenager because of her Strict Religious Beliefs and Beliefs in Child Rearing they Never Reconciled before her Death.
