this speech saved my life and I'm not exaggerating, her words helped me go through the hardest time in my life, when no one was there for me, taylor and her music were there.
I have to say, Taylor Swift is such an inspiration to me, we all make mistakes, but those mistakes do not define us, and there will be a lot of people trying to bring us down, simply because they feel afraid that we can move forward, i don't understand why people only see when we make mistakes, when we fall, but they're not able to understand all the road we have traveled to get right where we are right now

Taylor Swift is sooo amazing!!! u know why? Bc she uses her spotlight not just for herself but to shine light on others. She cares so much about people. She shares what she's learned so that others can benefit from it as well. She doesn't think she's better than everyone else. She wants them to feel awesome too about themselves. She lifts people up not bring them down. Far too often people hurt others or bring them down on purpose because somehow they think it will make them better than them. In truth it proves the exact opposite. Lifting people up should make u feel better about yourself and bringing people down should make u feel worse about yourself not like u are better than them. Tay said it herself fuck comparisons. No one is better than anyone else. People should want the best for each other not the worst. Wishing the best and caring for others builds connections. Wishing the worst breaks them. And at the end of the day that's really all that matters. U have u and the people who love u and that's what makes life worthwhile.

Some People just suck
Because a few are able to be born with everything they need for success. Some are born with the right voice, talent, look and abilities. They only have to do it and it falls into place. TS is one of those people. Born into relative wealth and stability. She was discovered at an early age. Didn't really have to struggle for a living. And success came very resolvedly. One of the few stories where everything fell into place. Of course she's good at what she does. And looks the part. It wasn't what she did , It was the relative ease with which it happened. To most of those who struggle and never attain that success, its a reminder that life is not fair and sometimes its fairer to others. JK Rowling once said that all she really did was write a few books. The dividend and reward she received for that was so out of proportion with what she put in. As she also stated. Same for TS I guess.
@@philster611-ih8te The beginning of her career was not "easy" as you say, singing in coffee, bullying, and especially the part that when the guy called her to a record company, he did not even have a record label. See a docmentary or something bro
@@natalianogueira466 I don't know of any parents that would up and relocate solely for their daughters career. Whatever humble origins her career had, they didn't last long nor were they soul destroying. I am neither pro nor anti TS. I am giving a likely analogy of why people seem to hate her. As scientific studies have shown,. the difference between success and failure is luck.
As is said. Born with the right lottery numbers. Born having the tools necessary for it. And for events to follow through which will bring it about. I have seen many documentaries. And the factor that always comes back is when lady luck smiles.
Two examples.
Elon Musk and Tesla. In 2008 when the crash happened. Tesla and Space X were basically running on fumes. Space had burned through its last bit of capital due to unsuccessful launches. And Tesla was also about to go into receivership. The moment that turned it around was when NASA offered a billion dollar contract a week before Musk was ready to declare bankruptcy. Musk himself has attested to this. As a result, money was channeled into Tesla and Space X and Tesla was able to produce the Model S which was released in 2010.
JK Rowling and Harry Potter. The first draft that was sent to Christopher Little agency was read and then put in the outgoing ( returned) bin. By a chance of fate and luck the secretary decided to take a glance through the manuscript and she suggested to the agency boss that he take another read. Had that not happened we would never have had Harry Potter. Yet again, a twist of fate and lady luck.
My favorite rule was the 10th one! It made me cry my eyes out!! I just love Taylor Swift sooo much! Number one fan 4 ever and ever!

I related to everything she said. What spoke to me the most at this moment was that u don't have to be perfect. It's such a simple thing but we get so disappointed and upset when things don't turn out exactly how we wanted them to, and feel that the mistakes have damaged us. No they make us wiser and cleaner.

@evancarmichael I think a more accurate name for the first rule would be either 'do what you believe in' or 'stay true to your vision' as she saw something no one on her team saw and though they doubted her she still pursued it to amazing success. Thanks for doing this on her - love your channel.
