Thank you very much, Dr Hafiz! You are very kind! Yes, it is easier to understand when it is made simple and more fun, isn’t it?

    Hello sir!
I have a patient with 1 month old shaft # with exposed bone of distal phalanx.
Would just debridement of the exposed bone and suturing nail bed be enough?
Also patient has HbA1c 12 . Would that be of any issue?
    Thank you 🙏🏻

Very useful video for all health care worker. Sir, I am Tanmoy, a health care worker of the government hospital of west bengal. I have ever seen, many persons come to the emergency with finger (in hand or foot) laceration. There are two or more suture (SOS) need to cure the laceration. But after one or two day, at the time of his/her dressing, the finger goes to gangreen. What is the reason for this gangreen ?? Is there any Arterial Vascular disease ??

Yes, you are perfectly right @Tanmoy! That is why I mentioned in the video that we must assess the viability of the top of the finger, first. Even if it looks viable, after suturing again we must see the colour of the tip and make sure that the tip is viable. If there is even a small doubt, we can remove some sutures and ensure the viability. We need not worry about the small wounds after we remove the sutures - they will heal well. And finally, at the first dressing at 48 hours, if there is again a doubt, we need to remove the sutures and relieve the pressure on the tip of the finger. So we have multiple check points to avoid the problem that you have so clearly described!
