"You'll probably never see it or ever know that it's there. But hey -- remember it forever." Lolololol. This describes so much of preclinical med school info in one statement.
If you aren't committed enough to memorizing pointless information then how can we trust you to be a doctor? (Sad part is that this *almost* isn't a joke... I had med school)
You're brilliant. You have no idea how much you helped me. I was pulling my hair trying to memorize the hand and foot muscles, and here you are. Thank you so very much!
The Palmaris Brevis is known as the Shuto, or knife edge of the hand. It's the focal point for chopping and blocking in martial arts. It can absorb shock as it fills with blood when squeezed which forms a cushion, rather than using your wrist or the side of your knuckles, which are fragile. You tighten it right at the moment of impact, that's how people can chop boards and break bricks. The Palmaris Brevis can be strengthed by using common hand grips.
I have my end module exam this Friday and my OSPE on the coming Monday. Your videos have literally saved me. I will pray for you homie thank you so muchhh
Thank you so much. I'll keep making videos, they just take me a good amount of time. But I'm working on them! Stay tuned and thanks for the encouragement ☺️ 🙏🙏🙏
Everytime, before my exams I visit your channel for revision.👍👍👍 Preparing for Tomorrow's anatomy viva (final proffs) from your videos.✨✨✨ Thank you so much sir, for your guidance. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Lots of respect and support from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
The way you teach and your mnemonic are just amazing and unforgettable. I got a lot of help from your videos thank you sir. Be the man and make a lot of videos
i feel one big reason i build aversion to studies in earlier were due to boring ppt and professors with there elaborate overwhelming information...A good teacher can make or break your interest in a subject......thanks for this exceptional explanation
Sir, can I ask you something? I'm just curious, what is used to remember the two specific muscles of the hand? Which has a Greeks God name in it's first word? Thank youuu in advance for answering!
Had the nerves and tendons in my right wrist cut . Had to wear a cast and now my right hand looks skinnier than the left . What can I do to build muscle in my right ?
In the US, I would go to a Certified Hand Therapist, which is a physical therapist or occupational therapist with extra training for hand rehabilitation. Or check with your doctor about options.
this is called muscle atrophy, when your muscles are no longer innervated and dont get the movements they need. Go check with a doctor and hopefullly theyll help you bulk that shit up again.
The dorsal interossei are the most dorsal muscles of the hand, which is covered near the end of the video. Besides that, there's just a lot of tendons.
This is what u call "Teaching" for retention... if u want students to remember something thats how u teach but if u want them to fail... follow the American Universities 90% Professor's methods... just drop the slides... vomit words and leave.
👏👏👏 yes, unfortunately, the lecture is sometimes just where you go to learn what is going to be on the test. From there, the rest is up to you. Of course, there are great teachers out there trying to change things, and hopefully, videos like these can give them ideas for the future.
