Yes, I don’t think the issue has been addressed. My family has a history of hammer toes. I’m seventy now and have been to foot doctors twice to get help with this. The first doctor said I just need shoes with a wider toe and the second doctor said there’s basically no help unless I’m tripping. I’ve recently been dragging this right foot and I feel this is causing a lot of imbalance on my right side. Which causes imbalance on the whole frame, and the right hip is now giving me pain. I live in a small midwestern community and have very little income and no manual therapists close by. But I exercise to the best of my knowledge every morning. I am following a lot of your exercises to help relieve hip and knee pain and weaknesses. I wish you were closer!
Hello, Dr. David. Thank you for sharing useful, helpful & informative videos, I live in Sacramento. I have a cartilage problem in my knees. My both knees are making crunchy noises. Top of that I have a disc problem. As a result, I am unable to bend and am experiencing a variety of difficulties in my daily activities. Is there a program that addresses both knee and disc issues?
Hi David, great video! Can the labrum just be inflammed short of a tear? How long does that take to settle down? With a tear do you also, recommend a conservative approach? Either way, i have serious imbalances to address with hip, knee and shoulder pain all ongoing
Hi Jordan, Thank you for your kind words and feedback! 😃We're glad you found the video helpful. Regarding your questions, yes, the labrum can sometimes be inflamed without a tear. Inflammation in the labrum can result from various factors, such as overuse, repetitive motions, or even injury. The time it takes to settle down can vary from person to person and depends on the severity of the inflammation and how well you take care of the affected area. In the case of a labral tear, you are correct, a conservative approach is often recommended as the first line of treatment. This approach typically includes physical therapy to address imbalances, strengthen surrounding muscles, and improve joint stability. Additionally, modifying activities that aggravate the tear can be beneficial during the healing phase. Thank you so much for all your videos... great content! I have a lingering suspicion that my hip issue may have originated from a corrective shoe that my doctor had me wear for from age 2 to 4 in the 1960s. I was pigeon toed on my right leg and they straightened that stance out to be forward facing. could this possibly have created hip issues on that side 30 years later...as my hip was designed at birth to turn one way but was mechanically forced to turn another way? Thank you again♥️
Hey Buttercup! Great question - it's difficult to tell you with certainty if it was the corrective shoe or not. You've got to move forward from where you are now! Fix the weaknesses and get onto moving better!
Love these exercises. My glutes are completely turned off after my disc herniation. But the original issue was hup impingement. Can you do video ib how hip fai can lead to back issues via si dysfunction. Nobody addresses this
I got hip impingement/FAI and labrum tear. I did physical therapy, chiropractor treatment, laser, cortisone shots, prolotherapy shots and don't help. I got surgery to repair my labrum and shave my bones . After 4 months post ops surgery still can't walk without crutches. My knee hurts especially my side of my knee I felt like my other leg os longer. Still doing pt and chiropractor I hope I can walk and go back to work.
