Bhai 1000- 2000 hajar ka toh bottom bracket aaata hai 😂😂baur crank set 3000 ke upare he melega 5000 ka hai total 8000 hajar but india meh crankset ka option nahi hai to kaha se layega😂😂

Hello Roy, I've a Riverside 500 can you please tell if a Shimano alivio 3 by crankset with hollowtech 2 bottom bracket can be installed in the bike after taking out the stock crankset if it can be done, which is the exact bottom bracket size suitable for the rs500 ? Since I'm slightly handicapped with cerebral palsy my efficiency is kind of low on gradients and long hours in the saddle so to ease up things I thought of upgrading to a lighter 3by hollowtech 2 chainring.

I have a Btwin tilt 120 folding bike with 1x6 gears. Can it be converted to 3x6 without affecting it's city ride adversely and making its uphill ride more comfortable or it would be better to convert it into 1x8 or, if possible, to 1x10 ?

@@Films_by_vinal single speed crankset were designed primarily for enduro riding by SRAM. The main idea was to make gear shifting easy & reduction of weight. Shimano too offers the same in their highest components. The more traditional 3 speed crankset is good for every other purpose. The former is expensive and the latter is cheaper as it has been used for decades.

Simplicity and weight are the most common answers

Simply to declutter. Most of the times you will just need a really low gear a really high one and a middle one. With 3x there is alot of clutter in the cockpit and most of the times it is unnecessary so converting a one by is a good idea. Less cranks less cockpit clutter. More simplicity , however converting a 1x8 doesn't make much sense to me i wouldn't untill unless it's a 1x9 minimum.

Simply, the 3x cranksets have older technology, while the new 1x hollow bottom bracket is more advanced in technology.

I am thinking of a simillar conversation but i have doubts about gearing ratio my bike goes upto 55km/hr on current setup it's 42t max at front & 11t lowest at behind. I will definitely lose a little top speed but i wanted to ask if the first gear feels simillar to old 1 in front and 4 at behind or lower on same cassette?
If it's simillar to that i will upgrade to hollow tech single speed or else go for a 22-44t crank

Nice video but 1x setup be more efficient than 3x setup on hill climbs and long rides like 100kms or so ? I am sure for decent the would be better. Would appreciate your reply. Thanks
1x and 2x are both good. It really depends on what type of terrain you are riding and how strong your legs are. 2x in general you will have a wider range which which will help with a terrain with lots of climbs. But you can get a good range with a 1x if you run a set up with a chainring 32 or 34 which I am using right now and adding a 42T to your cassette which I'll be doing next upgrade to the bike.

Yes that will happen if the chain isn't maintained well. Else this works like magic as all high expensive bikes runs on 1x setup.

No there is no flexible type chain, try getting a Shadow clutch derailleur or a Chain guide.
