A Week in Chamonix with the Irish at the UTMB 2022

- I was privileged to spend the last week of August catching up with, and filming the Irish running in Chamonix. I barely scratched the surface, but I did get a flavour, of the Irish experience competing across the various distances at this years UTMB event. I may have bitten off more than I could chew but I am very happy to have had the opportunity to gather together some of the stories and bring them together here as a memory of:

Thanks Tadeusz, yeah, if you’re into trail running you simply can’t beat Chamonix during UTMB week. Really happy to have this record of the event out there for all to see. Don’t think I would do it again though…it would be easier to run the race 😀
@@filmmytrailrun lol. As long as you still record I don't mind. I could be completely insane an apply for OCC in 2024!! Don't even want to think how many runs up the big sugar loaf is equivalent to those 58km in the Alps....

Aha, good man for looking me up Graham. We might even make a trail runner out of you yet. I’ve been dragging my heels with the edit of a race I did in Cape Town in November. Funny that I seem to have to go back to work in my real job before I can go back to work in my past time job. Thanks for subscribing 🙏

Yeah and all the while they were capturing me too, I only found out afterwards. Made a good addition to the video though 😂😂
Well done, Dave, on the recording of an amazing group of Irish people competing on the world stage at Chamonix ! It would be nice to see them get more attention back home. It's inspiring stuff ! Just what we need at this moment in time. Congratulations to all competitors, especially the 2 men who broke through the 20 hour barrier ! Thanks, Dave, I enjoyed the escape to beautiful Chamonix !
