Great video and enjoyed your picks. Had almost as much fun reading the enlightened comments from viewers who took their heads out of their arses for a few minutes to spout vitriol, and them stuck ‘em right back up there. Wishing you the best with your channel😉
I absolutely love the SAR Rescue Timer from afar, I'm really keen to own one some day or at the very least spend some time with one. What an awesome piece! 😎🍻
I hear ya. I love my momentum as well. I bought the sea auto and now where that 80% of the time. I feel like it has better construction and looks just a bit nicer. Not sure why. Anyway my Seaquartz is my take anywhere don’t care watch. Love them both and like you it is the look that does it for me.
Great to hear - I haven't handled the auto personally but it's always nice to have choices, and very interesting that it feels a little more refined in your experience 🙂👍
Very well put together. I agree. The best watch for you is the one you ultimately want to put on the wrist most of the time. I bought a Wolbrook Douglas quartz field watch earlier in the year as a replacement for my famous Pulsar Kinetic...and it is pretty much my daily now. It doesn't matter that I haven't reviewed it yet or that it only cost 25% of the price of my prized watches. Its just the watch for the job. Great stuff 😊
Haha thank you - that's the most eloquent and fitting way to say exact what I was trying to say all along, but in one concise sentence... 😆 - "the best watch for you is the one you want to put on your wrist most of the time." 🏆 👌 I need to summarise better 😂... Nice to hear about Wolbrook too, I am really interested in the brand 😎
My number one is the Jianghun War Drum. Saw it, fell in love with it, bought the brown one. The "long" strap is a joke and it's a pity because it is a great strap but the watch is awesome. Looks great, feels great and is for sure a bit different - and i found a strap that's long enough and looks similar.
Very interesting brand, keen to see how their releases go long term and how the design language continues to evolve. The war drum definitely was a super original piece. Nice choice 😎🍻
To me, it's my Brellum Duobox 39 Chronometer (Limited Edition) chronograph in blue. incredible value for the money (no distributors or dealers), it would be four times the cost from a major brand and the finishing and operation are sublime!
I love that orange minute hand. I have a Squale with a bright orange minute hand like that. It has a brushed case and SW200 movement. Yours is an excellent grab and go and reminds me of Magnum PI.
Hehe yeah I know well from my Squale - the very very luminous orange, that really does pop on them, it's insane under uv light! So often a limited used of bright color against a contrasting background hits the hardest...in a good way. 😎👍
I’ve bought 3 watches this year. First was a Dan Henry 1962, white dial, which I’m wearing today. Then, more recently, two Islanders - a Port Jeff GMT (green dial traveler), and a Calabro GMT (red dial office). On any given day, I’d pick any one them as BEST - but that’s the beauty of this hobby - I don’t have to pick just one! Probably the Best Buy of the year was the Islander bracelet for my Seiko SNK80x watches. Talk about transformation. I wish I could post photos here.
Haha yes agreed, it's so hard to pick one. I love both your Islanders and honestly in another year I'd have an Islander in the top 3 for sure, I've just been lucky to handle a lot of watches I've liked this year. It's very annoying you can't add pics to comments in YT, I would really like to see you Seiko on that bracelet too. Have a great holidays mate and thanks as always for your comments 😎🍻
It was a slow watch year for me, so I ended up wearing a few of my past purchases quite a bit, and for longer periods of time. My G Shock 5600 got most of the wrist time this year, along with my Marathon. I plan to purchase a Hanhart Pioneer or Preventor at some point next year, so maybe that will be my best of '25.
Nice, that's a good thing to appreciate what we already have. I'm as guilty as the next for rushing out and getting swept away by new releases. Hanhart are looking immense at the moment, be keen to hear about it if you pick one up. I wouldn't even know of the brand without TGV so I'm grateful for that intro 🙂 have a good holidays bud 🍻
I think my favourite watch of 2024 is my CWC RN Quartz Diver! Like you, it’s a quartz watch. But there’s something about it being an indestructible piece of military issued equipment that can be worn for most purposes. Can only have NATO straps due to its fixed lug bars, but I find that to be a charm of the watch!!
Haha well I can't say I expected it either, but it has been by far my most worn so only fair to say it as it is 😆...Happy Christmas mate, looking forward to Vancouver next year with you 😎👌
That Momentum is awesome! Color scheme and hands and indexes design scream 80s, my decade, love it! Erebus is lovely too, I got the same green helix but on j-style and fully agree with all your remarks. Lastly, chrono is not my cup of tea, but cool watch nevertheless. Nice choices! But that Momentum is now itching my wallet, super cool.
Well, it's only fair you should treat yourself with the holiday season coming up to a bit of retro 80s goodness 😉... Nice choice on the Erebus too mate 🍻... they all looked so lovely but the green helix has definitely left me feeling like we made the right choice 😎
Watches that resemble windcatchers, lawn ornaments, or doilies don’t get a place on my wrist. Much respect for Momentum. I am eagerly awaiting delivery of their 42mm solar titanium Eclipse.
Awesome, I can imagine it's great as a daily and I guess you're the same as me in selecting the SM over others that might have more prestige 👍 cheers for watching 😎🍻
This really just eliminated all future credibility for this channel. That’s wild. Poor quality yet it’s incredible. Used the word “rubbish” but put it ahead of a Farer. This is why I’ve stopped listening to UA-camrs. They’re absolutely full of sh*t.
😆 it's lovely to have you join us as always with your shining optimism and beautiful insight... but a shame you don't listen to the intro to understand the context. Sending you love and cuddles 💖💖😘
@@seancdavidson imagine having no standards or scruples. I really don't mind whether you visit or not it's your free time not mine, although I will confess it does bring a smile each time I have a read of your comments so that would be missed. I could point out that this video isn't a watch review, nor is it in the watch review playlist on my channel, and I did clearly state I'd leave the review links in the description...which I did. But what importance is all of that to discourage a good old fashioned rant in the comments? I don't want to spoil your fun so crack on 😂😂

Haha thank you - yep there's often some bonus entertainment to be found in the comments section 😆 cheers and have a good one 😎🍻
My number one of 2024 is the casio duro. I liked it so much I bought two. Bought saphire crystals and high quality bracelets to go with them.
Impossible to go wrong with an upgraded duro - functional, affordable and looks great. 😎
Neat. Curious where you got the crystals.
Muhle Glashutte SAR Rescue Timer - because in a knock out drag down brawl it would come out the winner. Unique, tough, very cool.

Brellum is a reasonably new brand to me, I know of them but don't know much about them but looked it up and wow that's a stunner! Very cool watch 👌
I love that orange minute hand. I have a Squale with a bright orange minute hand like that. It has a brushed case and SW200 movement. Yours is an excellent grab and go and reminds me of Magnum PI.

Love my Sea Quartz too!
I have the Sea Quartz too and really enjoy it. Love the hands and legibility.
Great taste sir 🍻

Superb, a proper milspec beauty 😎🙌 I can totally see why that would be the one to reach for in the watch box.
A odd choice for watch of the year but I do own this watch and it truly has a charm to it. Merry Christmas! 😊
Haha well I can't say I expected it either, but it has been by far my most worn so only fair to say it as it is 😆...Happy Christmas mate, looking forward to Vancouver next year with you 😎👌
Cool video, I like the sea quartz

For best watch of the year, I'd nominate the Citzen Zenshin, and while we're talking quartz - their Eco-Drive version is the best of the 3! 🔥
Really great design from Citizen, definitely stepped up their game in the last few years 🫡
Watches that resemble windcatchers, lawn ornaments, or doilies don’t get a place on my wrist.
Much respect for Momentum.
I am eagerly awaiting delivery of their 42mm solar titanium Eclipse.
That'll be a cracking watch I'm sure, enjoy in good health buddy 😎👍
Omega Speedy Pilot Flight Qualified💯 by far the best watch of 2024 IMO...
Nice 🔥🔥
That you mentioned it was Jody's brand IS here or there.
It's a fact, same as FARER being British but made in Switzerland. I try to put a few facts in for each 😎
Hanhart Preventor HD12. Similar to the Murph but night and day better quality.
Great choice 👍
Great vid I where my 200 dollar San Martin homage the most I have more expensive original designs but this one jus does it for a daily…
Awesome, I can imagine it's great as a daily and I guess you're the same as me in selecting the SM over others that might have more prestige 👍 cheers for watching 😎🍻
@ yea money doesn’t make you connect you never know what’s going to do it for you until you have some time with a piece of…
Erebus? No thanks, would not buy a watch brand owned and promoted by a UA-cam influencer.
This really just eliminated all future credibility for this channel. That’s wild. Poor quality yet it’s incredible. Used the word “rubbish” but put it ahead of a Farer. This is why I’ve stopped listening to UA-camrs. They’re absolutely full of sh*t.

Imagine getting butthurt over someone else's watch of the year. UA-cam comments never cease to amaze me.
