''Oh Mary go and call the cattle home, across the sands of Dee': it's decades since I walked on Parkgate sands. Then they disappeared.. old Heswall too, and I never wanted to see what new councils did to ruin the Wirral. Fantastic photos Paul; to see a tide rushing in there was wonderful. birding place - I'll tell Peter. Many thanks.
Parkgate sands - now that is going back a bit! When I was a boy I remember visiting and seeing millions of elvers along the shallow waterway at the base of the wall. None now. No doubt partly due to the scarcity of eels in general but also the man-made changes in the water levels. It’s interesting what is happening at Hoylake. Almost a battle going on right now between the council, the inhabitants and Natural England. Hopefully everyone will win - if that’s possible.
Isn’t that amazing - migration! I must do some research on where these birds disperse for their Summer. Most of ‘our’ up to 10,000 pink-footed geese spend the Summer in Iceland, Svalbard and Greenland. A great many of the waders will indeed be flying over your house 😀 presumably on the way to Siberia?

Great video and no music, which is even better.
Thank you! Like you - I prefer the sounds of nature.
