An interesting video. Just so your viewers know, the point made about a camera over private land, a drone that is fitted with a camera can fly over private land legally, as the land owner does not own the air space. ( CAA regulations apply ) 👍
Always used to hang out there as a kid from Prenton. Straight down Roman Road. Not that us kids told our mum about the railway line. Good to know. As for Peninsular. Must come from the Latin or Italian 'appena' meaning just about or almost.
I believe according to the Doomsday book I believe that Wirral actually starts two arrow falls from Chester city walls. Think the sign should say Wirral Birthplace of England, due to battle at Bromborough.
they adapted the border in 1974 in the best way they could. Of course many people will rightly make the points about where the border is positioned. The middle you talk about is an imaginary point. now if you were to go to the point where the wirral geographically ends. that’s much harder. things of course have been changed since the original hundred of Wirral , including the position of the river dee. look forward to move videos
Look, mate. When one drives through either Mersey tunnel from Liverpool it DOES NOT SAY "The Wirral". It says "Welcome to Wirral" Do you not even know where you live, lad?
As a 77 year old, I can tell you that it was always known to the locals as "The Wirral", while you would give your address as (eg) Neston, Wirral. I suspect "The Wirral" was an abbreviation of "The Wirral Peninsula".
Wirral is the Borough, but The Wirral is the Whole Peninsula. They obvs do know what they are talking about. And know more than we do because we are not from there

He made a whole video on it saying the Wirral refers to the geographical location where as Wirral refers to the borough.
