I love the cottage colors! I have a major problem. I have painted, built, you name it furniture but I don’t know where or how to start selling. My kids don’t even bring the grandkids over because, well, it’s rather crowded. I have a small house and have construction going on because two contractors before didn’t cover my roof when reroofing during rain. Yes, my ceiling is bowed throughout the house and, well it’s bad. I was using my garage for a workshop but my car has been stolen twice so I now keep it in the garage. I wish I could find a church to buy somewhere. I know I have God looking over me saying to keep on doing what you love. When I get past the lawyers fees I’m thinking about joining your small business group. I have a dead business now but it is totally opposite of the furniture business that I want to start. Thank you for the videos! They are very uplifting. I try to follow along and work while watching. You seem to have an amazing family❤️
The green harp that you showed (at Saver's I think) made me laugh. I bought one years ago and it just floated around the house until one day I had an epiphany and use it in my kitchen to hold cutting boards.

I went to the GW bins once. They did not provide shopping carts; experienced shoppers brought their own. I had nothing. It was so crowded and people were pushing each other. I was so traumatized I just got a few books and left. It’s not a stretch to imagine coming in contact with a used hypodermic needle in the neighborhood my store is located.

My daughter used to live in Denver and she got some amazing things for ridiculously cheap. They’re a little overwhelming for me, I guess I’m not aggressive enough. Savers here in Idaho is expensive, too.
Our bins are sorted clothing and linens in one building and another building with furniture and home goods. I keep gloves in the car so I always have them. I could people watch there for a long time. Ours also has a one cart per person limit so they fill their cart check out and return and refill the cart. I like to go later in the day so it isn’t so crowded and carts are available. The best may be gone but I won’t fight anyone for a bin find.

ALWAYS go with gardening gloves or better when you go to the BINS -ours here you can not go in without them they sell you a pain for $2
I've heard people say that they wear gloves when they go digging in the bins.

I have never been to a goodwill bin store. I quit going to Savvers years ago due to prices. The goodwills around here have started being a little bit better with pricing. I have a fantastic thrift store that I go to about once a month.

Great job guys! Beautiful pieces. I went to that Goodwill Bins once & there was hardly anything there but clothes! And just junk broken things. I don’t know how you found cool things or that people had carts of things. I must just have bad luck cause I’ve never wanted to go back! Blech
The prices that you saw at the Savers are very similar to the Goodwill near me. Clothes are very cheap and everything else is at least $2.99. They closed the store in my area, their prices were right.
The bins here CAN be wonderful as far as finding amazing things. I have found vintage blow molds, an old type set tray, vintage Christmas and on and on. They rotate bins fast and 2 rows at a time. The downside is no filming, imo gloves are a must, aggressive regulars who literally stay all day and even eat their lunch there, the police have been called multiple occasions to the point ppl have been kicked out, and the staff screams at you military style. Yep, that’s the bins here😂

I have a question please if you have time: I am wanting to transfer or stencil on drop cloth and use it as upholstery material on my dining room chairs. Wear gloves in the bins! Much of the stuff goes straight to bins if deemed "unsortable" and sometimes "unsortable" means "disgusting with unknown crap...or literal crap...on it" Also broken glass or jagged metal you can't see until it's too late.

We have shipping tiers based on money spent over $200 is free. Except diy paint can’t ever be free shipping. And all our other non diy paint and supplies are free shipping. Hope that helps!

I already sell on EBay, Etsy, etc… what do you think the benefits are of having your own website as opposed to using the other platforms? And is there a company you recommend for designing your own website? Thank you so much for your content very inspirational all the time!

Donated goods should not be Priced like retail or ANTIQUES! VOME ON HOODWILL . THE REASON YOU HAVE A LARGE INVENTORY SITTING ON THE SHELF IS BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT 10 TIMES TOO HIGH ON PRICE. REDUCE AND GET IT OUT THE DOOR.

I LOVE THE BINS BUT GO EARLY AND WEAR GARDEN GLOVES. THERE’S BROKEN GLASS, knifes and anything that could cut you.
Wear masks and gloves. Keeps your hands clean and you won’t be breathing in all that dust flying around
