I am a ceramicist. The reason why there’s no glaze on the bottom is because it would get stuck to the inside of the kiln shelves. The glaze will become fused to the kiln shelves and you would basically have to pull it off or use a tool to get it off and the ceramic piece would be ruined for the most part😊
😂 You caved on the brass candle stick holders!!!! I would have also!! The piece with "the face" might be a frog house for the garden. Great haul. Love the gravey bowl.
Wow color coded aisles would be amazing not only because it would make shopping easy but also because of the quantity of items. My local thrifts only have two short aisles of homewares in total. I cant imagine multiple full color coded aisles 😍
I do love the color coded aisles! It makes finding my favorite stuff easier for sure. It’s crazy how different thrift stores can be in different places!
Love the gravy boat! So pretty and practical. Your brush is a shoe shine brush - that is why it’s so soft. I’m sure it can repurposed for whatever use you want. I think your brown candle holder would make a lovely stand for a small pumpkin. Endless possibilities for thrift finds!❤
You have such a great eye for finding wonderful treasures at thrift stores and for making them look so important in your decor. I love the whole haul! ❤
I absolutely love your thrifted finds! My favorites are your dark brown baskets, especially the basket tray. It's definitely versatile and could also be a great accent piece in a fall display. Love it! ❤️
Great finds! My father used to have leather handled garment brushes to clean off wool pants, jackets, etc, of lint/hair. Do you think yours is a garment brush? In any case, you can use it for whatever purpose you'd like!
Like you, I have a "thing" for dark brown. My favorite things to thrift lately are pillar candle holders. I grow lots of plants and instead of candles, I put my smaller plants on them to give height to a vignette. I definitely would have gone for the brown pillar candle holder. Great piece!
Good evening Chelsea! Loved all your thrifted finds especially the gravy boat! I love the color and style of it and I’m so glad you got it! All of your finds are usable in so many places! Great shopping! 💕
The brush you bought is a shoe shining brush. After you apply shoe polish to leather shoes you let it dry a little and then buff off the extra polish with the brush.
I really liked all your finds. I like that you tell us how you plan on using them. Really helps with ideas while thrifting. Love love love the pottery pieces. Thanks for sharing
I LOVE …DARK BROWN Decor Items as well!!!🤎 My FAVORITE piece that you bought is the Dk Brown Wicker Flat Tray with handles!!! (Similar to Studio McGee Style). Thanks for sharing!!! 🍁🍂🍁
Your little soft brush is a shoe shine brush. After you polish shoes you buff back and forth with the brush to remove the polish to make your shoes shine.
I believe that item with a "face" was a coconut shell someone had cleaned and put some type of glaze or something on it to make it decorative but I am not sure. I love those candlesticks and both baskets.
I cracked up when you went to grab the candle holder and your hand missed it 😂 I literally love that you left that in this video, it made my whole week! 😂😂😂
I wondered if someone was going to comment about that lol. That happens to me sometimes when I’m trying to film at the same time 😳😂. I’m happy you got a laugh out of it, I did too.
You're my favourite UA-camr♥️ honestly. I just love your aesthetic. It speaks to me the most out of all the designers on UA-cam. I like some Drew's ideas (Lone Fox) and like watching Macenna Xo but I wouldn't choose her furniture or decor items. Not me. But I want a living room decor like yours. Also FIA Garcia has an excellent taste. I watch her and you the most. Two very talented ladies. Thank you for creating a channel for us all to enjoy♥️♥️♥️ And wishing your channel to grow huge in 2024, as it rightly deserves!
@@thisgirlathome Thanknyou for responding. Humble, too🌹 There are many talented UA-camrs for sure. It just all depends on taste. Not everyone resonates. Your choices influenced me to have a better taste in decor. I've learnt a lot from you. Your vases DIY was a chefs kiss👌 Blessings from England, UK
Loved the haul. Gravy boat was such a pretty color. And the small bowl and small little vase. Love all the browns for fall decor. I love neutral colors so much.
I'm always partial to candle holders and pottery so I especially loved the small brown pottery piece with the shiny glaze on top. All of your thrifted pieces were great finds though. Where is Floyd and Myles?
Hi Chelsea, I absolutely love everything, but the one that sticks out the most is your new glass pitcher. Isn’t it from the 60’s or 70’s era ?, I love the detail on it. I hope you have a wonderful blessed and safe week, looking forward to your next video 🍂🌻🍁🌻
Hi from Texas, I’m new to your channel. I am so glad I ran across video. I loved your thrift haul, I wish I could find a one of those shoe brush. I also like the dark tray….actually I love all of them!!!😊
Loved everything you found but my favourite was the little glazed on top pottery! I knew you were going to buy those brass candlestick holders 😂 so why fight it?
Hello my friends!! Let me know what piece was your favorite in today's haul. Thank you always for the kind support
gravy dish, little pot
I love the ceramic pieces!! They are both so good!

Thank you so much for sharing why the bottom is different! I love learning about pottery and hope to learn how to make my own pieces one day 🤗🖤
I have a middle schooler that is taking a ceramics class and that’s what she said. She was so happy to know that, it was so sweet.
Love your channel so much!!! You have a very peaceful vibe and I love to grab a cup of coffee and watch you thrift!!
You are so kind, thank you 🥹🖤
😂 You caved on the brass candle stick holders!!!! I would have also!!

Great haul. Love the gravey bowl.
I totally caved lol. That’s so interesting that’s a little frog house!!! I never would have thought of that. Thank you for sharing 🖤
The dark basket tray is wonderful. And brass candlesticks are always a treasure for me.

Thanks so much! I agree, these pieces can be used in so many different ways 🖤
I loved them all.... I would have been drawn to everything you chose.
Your brush is a shoeshine brush! My dad had one. Cindi (from WV). ❤
Thank you for sharing! That makes me love this little brush even more ☺️
I liked the stuff you picked. Those are the colors I like too.❤
The brush you bought is a shoe shining brush. After you apply shoe polish to leather shoes you let it dry a little and then buff off the extra polish with the brush.
I really loved the small pottery piece.

Great haul. Loved the uneven edge pottery. I love this kind of pottery too. Its special and unique.
You got some lovely items there. Love the baskets and candle sticks. 👍🥰
Diane, thank you! I can’t resist bringing home more candlesticks ☺️☺️
Nice haul! That small brush was used for shiny shoes back in the day. Some brushes like that was also used to brush off hair from coats & clothing.
I love your taste, style and the way you place your items
Great Finds !!
I believe that item with a "face" was a coconut shell someone had cleaned and put some type of glaze or something on it to make it decorative but I am not sure. I love those candlesticks and both baskets.
That basket would be cute for Christmas, with a Christmas tree in it,decorated with reds, beiges, and golds😁
The coconut looking thing is for a terrarium. For an animal to hide in.
I cracked up when you went to grab the candle holder and your hand missed it 😂 I literally love that you left that in this video, it made my whole week! 😂😂😂

They are adorable.
Loved the haul. Gravy boat was such a pretty color. And the small bowl and small little vase. Love all the browns for fall decor. I love neutral colors so much.
I love the whole haul. 💕🌻
The soft brush is a clothes lint brush. Popular before the sticky lint brushes hit the market.
Loved your baskets! ❤
Hi Chelsea 👋
Great finds girlfriend ❤
Love the dark baskets as well.
Love the gravy boat color❤
Thanks so much lady! 🖤🖤
That piece with the face at the beginning looks like a Hermit Crab house.
Your goodwill has some great stuff! Love the brass candle holders! I paid 14.99 for a set!
Great haul Chelsea. The brush you found is for polishing shoes. My dad has one in his kit.
Oh that’s so interesting and explains why the bristles are so soft I’m guessing! Thank you!!
Yep, that's a shoeshine brush. My dad had one, too. You'll find lots of good uses for it.
My dad had garment brushes, also, that had soft bristles.
I like the basket tray. But it was all awesome.
Thank you Joyce ☺️
Love your finds! I really like the woven tray and tall candle holder, and pottery pieces too!
Such beautiful pieces ❤
Love the pottery piece at 6:40. Great prices on your haul Chelsea
Thank you Terri!
Great haul.
I'm always partial to candle holders and pottery so I especially loved the small brown pottery piece with the shiny glaze on top. All of your thrifted pieces were great finds though. Where is Floyd and Myles?
Thank you! I’m definitely partial to those types of pieces too ☺️. Myles was hiding and Floyd was watching from the bed lol
I like the pottery piece, & the gravy boat
The gravy boat is definitely cute ☺️☺️

The soft bristle brush is for men’s shoes and the pitcher is 50’s
LOVE THIS
Hey new sub here. My house also is dark wood decorative I have always had a dark warm house I guess lol. 😊love the big basket.
Yay, I’m so happy someone else loves the pitcher too! 🤗 I’m not certain when it’s from, but it definitely could be from that time. Thank you 🖤
Hi from Texas, I’m new to your channel. I am so glad I ran across video. I loved your thrift haul, I wish I could find a one of those shoe brush. I also like the dark tray….actually I love all of them!!!😊

Thanks so much!! I was really excited about that find, gave me the fall feeling 🍁 🖤
@@thisgirlathome 🧡🍁🍂
Lots of cute items
It's a vintage clothes brush for lint or hair on nice clothes, back when people took pride in their appearance.
Your cat seemed very interested in the new basket! 😂 my favorite was the tray! Great price!
He loves to check out anything new that comes home, but he especially loves baskets 🧺. Thank you 🖤
@@thisgirlathome I love it when you only see the feather duster of a tail go across the screen 🤣
The thing with the 3 eyes is a coconut shell.
Great stuff
Hi just subscribed an l absolutely looooove your channel so far, oh l love that beautiful ceramic pot so beautiful 😍 ❤❤❤❤
Aww welcome! And thanks so much for being here 🤗
I love all your thrifting finds!
It amazes me how big the gravy boat is 😂, won’t find that in the Netherlands!
Thank you! That’s so interesting, would they be small in the Netherlands?
@@thisgirlathome YES, a lot smaller.
So if you have a big family just put 2 on the table 😂
Pitchers too are way smaller
Liked your video!!! Your voice is great!
Aww thanks so much!! 🥹
Wow your thrift store is so much more affordable than here in Northern California. where are you from? I’m new here.
The brush is actually a suit/clothing brush. It was used to brush off dust off of clothing.
Loved everything you found but my favourite was the little glazed on top pottery! I knew you were going to buy those brass candlestick holders 😂 so why fight it?
Lol I really told myself I was not going to buy them, but clearly didn’t have the willpower! 🤷🏻♀️ I love that little pottery piece too, thank you ☺️
What are you thinking, perfect for the your cat😊
That brush is for polishing shoes.
That piece of pottery is a pit-fired piece..the bottom has no glaze and has the raw clay black because of where it was located in the firing process
That’s good to know, thank you!
I think the thing with a face is a toad home you put in garden
That little half coconut shaped thing is a toad abode.
Omg love that 🐸
Okay but where do you live cause I have literally been to every goodwill around me and I have NEVER been that lucky enough to find pieces like those 😭
I live in Pennsylvania. I definitely don’t get lucky every single time like this! This was a very good thrifting day for me. ☺️🤗
That peice was a coconut 🥥😂
❤
Pottery looks Raku
😢brush was to polish and buff shoes.
You should not shop with your purse open in the baby seat. It makes it real easy for thieves to steal your wallet. Happened to me. 😰 be careful.
Hi..That little face is a coconut shell.
It might be a critter hut or something for a fish tank?!!!
❤
