I love the ceramic pieces!! They are both so good!
I am a ceramicist. The reason why there’s no glaze on the bottom is because it would get stuck to the inside of the kiln shelves. The glaze will become fused to the kiln shelves and you would basically have to pull it off or use a tool to get it off and the ceramic piece would be ruined for the most part😊

Love the gravy boat! So pretty and practical. Your brush is a shoe shine brush - that is why it’s so soft. I’m sure it can repurposed for whatever use you want. I think your brown candle holder would make a lovely stand for a small pumpkin. Endless possibilities for thrift finds!❤
Wow color coded aisles would be amazing not only because it would make shopping easy but also because of the quantity of items. My local thrifts only have two short aisles of homewares in total. I cant imagine multiple full color coded aisles 😍
I do love the color coded aisles! It makes finding my favorite stuff easier for sure. It’s crazy how different thrift stores can be in different places!
The dark basket tray is wonderful. And brass candlesticks are always a treasure for me.

Like you, I have a "thing" for dark brown. My favorite things to thrift lately are pillar candle holders. I grow lots of plants and instead of candles, I put my smaller plants on them to give height to a vignette. I definitely would have gone for the brown pillar candle holder. Great piece!

Great finds! My father used to have leather handled garment brushes to clean off wool pants, jackets, etc, of lint/hair. Do you think yours is a garment brush? In any case, you can use it for whatever purpose you'd like!

Your little soft brush is a shoe shine brush. After you polish shoes you buff back and forth with the brush to remove the polish to make your shoes shine.

Nice haul! That small brush was used for shiny shoes back in the day. Some brushes like that was also used to brush off hair from coats & clothing.

I believe that item with a "face" was a coconut shell someone had cleaned and put some type of glaze or something on it to make it decorative but I am not sure. I love those candlesticks and both baskets.

The soft brush is a clothes lint brush. Popular before the sticky lint brushes hit the market.

Yep, that's a shoeshine brush. My dad had one, too. You'll find lots of good uses for it.
My dad had garment brushes, also, that had soft bristles.
I'm always partial to candle holders and pottery so I especially loved the small brown pottery piece with the shiny glaze on top. All of your thrifted pieces were great finds though. Where is Floyd and Myles?

The brush is actually a suit/clothing brush. It was used to brush off dust off of clothing.
The thing with the 3 eyes is a coconut shell.

That piece of pottery is a pit-fired piece..the bottom has no glaze and has the raw clay black because of where it was located in the firing process
