I didn't realize that your Duster is a Space Duster, With the fold down back seat. That's very cool.

For the small pin holes PRO-15 now makes a product called POR-15 patch. I used it in my 71 Mach 1 floor pans that were super solid like yours, but with a couple of pin holes. That product worked great for filling up small pin holes. After I filled them up I used the regular POR-15 on whatever had surface rust. I am very happy with the repair, seems to be impervious to water...

Thanks so much for the tip on smacking the lower seat back. Working on a customers roadrunner and was having trouble pushing it out. Couple of snacks and it came out easily! Thanks!

My 5th avenue looked almost just like this when I had my carpet out. But not even spots rusted through. I ground the floors down with wire wheels and a die grinder and painted it with POR-15. Black, clear and then chassis coat. I eventually found out that the windshield seal was the culprit of the water entry and had the windshield taken out and resealed. Cost me about $150. Well worth it! That water was also causing problems with the electrical in my dash and my power seat motor.
Also a head up rock auto has dash covers you can order in many colors and materials. (I got the carpet type) they fit really good and will cover that dash up and make things look better. Hide the cracks and help more from happening.

Upholstery not hard at all but the cost of materials has gone up quite a bit...the last carpet I got from ACC was not good at all very lousy fit on my 74 charger and I got it from rock auto not their fault but ACC should be better than it was...next time I will use the loop style carpet the cut pile just looks cheap. When you put the carpet back use the seat belt bolts to find the cut location for them as you mock up the carpet.. And a hot awl work great for the seat stud holes nice and clean no tear.

@@318willrun I think ACC is all you can find. They’re the only game in town, unless you can find some new old stock someone hid away in an attic or garage, but good luck getting that in the color you need. I’ll be interested to see how the install goes and how you like the new acc replacement. My duster has naked floors and in need of carpet.
