Does' anyone remember a TV Series called Big Deal'(1980's) Where Ray Brooks plays a Gambler always pushing his luck?..Also he played the part of Reg' in the BBC Docudrama Cathy Come Home'.
I went out with a girl Angerla Gosling ( Where are you now Angerla )? who lived in the same road 'Melrose Grds' just off the Shepheard's bush rd where this film was shot. I remember we would go down the side of a house which you can see in the film and kiss. We were only 11. Two streets along is Lena Grds was where we both went to school. In the film Michael Crawford is a teacher at Holland Park school. That was where I went to School after Lena Grds. Talk about going back in time.
Julie Christie is so damn hot in this movie... Jam & Bread for tea, a bath on sundays fish & Chips with cracklin memories of my early childhood and Im 48 so I was not born then but london was much the same in the early 70s superb film..
