I don't understand why this intro was changed overseas. It was absolutely spot-on as it was. Not just for the music, but the edit is so much more satisfying, too.
Wanna know super weird ass part? It wasn’t in Canada…this was my intro. Looking this up (playing new forza and nostalgia driving me nuts) just now was first time realized in the US, ya, had diff intro for some weird reason. Why mess with perfection, but guess considered them a diff demo than rest of world 😂
Zoran Tot-Arvai you my man/woman are right, it’s more realistic than forza, you can drive your choice, race or street cars on many of the tracks gran turismo has chosen for you to enjoy.

I'm Italian but I always played GTs in Japanese, to play early, at 60hz, and to don't miss the new arrangement of TMOTC. It was always a great emotion to hear the new version of this theme at first run in every new GT. GT5 was my first european GT, and it was very sad to miss this emotion when I run it for the first time. :( Remove this song from the game is like removing John Williams's music from Star Wars, a real sacrilege!

What an amazing intro, i remember watching this on my new 32 inches lcd, i was really surprised with the graphics more than 10years ago . I never enjoyed car games but gt5 was truly entrataining , i spent hours and hours doing those cups or missions
Maurizio Pollini being performed by Lang Lang showing the organic creation of automobiles followed by Moon Over The Castle in all it's glory. I cannot think of a more rounded intro for any game ever! Glad I can read Japanese and have a region-free PS3. =D
I think this song shows the true nature of GT5 vs. Forza. GT5 is lighthearted, fun, and has an epic heritage at the same time. Forza is great in it's own respects, but it lacks.... this!
My summary of the intros of GT's 1-5 in different versions: GT: Japan > US/EU GT2: Japan > US > EU GT3: US > Japan > EU GT4: US > Japan > EU GT5: Japan > US/EU I do not know if I find myself relevant to judge these intros when the only GT game I spent my time playing the most was GT4, which was my first game in the franchise. Never had a PS3 so that means I can't play GT5 either. I really love how Sony and Polyphony used the songs and have them fitted well with the scenes used in the intro, specially with the American releases. What I like about the Japanese intros is how the make the intros look like anime opening sequences. Intros between US and Japan version from 3 to 5 were pretty close IMO and it's not exactly because of the song choices.

Even though i really like My Chemical Romance - Planetary Go, it just can't beat Moon Over The Castle. No song can beat Moon Over The Castle, not even Panama from GT4
the Japanese version of the GT5 opening is far superior to the US version imo. Moon Over the Castle is such a 'graceful' rock song in that it makes the racing seem so much more awe-inspiring and ethereal

@MrChaz03088 It was epic, and this one is too. You just always get people who love one version of something and feel duty bound to hate ANYTHING else that replaces it. Why can't we love both songs? Two different approaches, two very good intros.
I agree that this song should have stayed for ALL intros! But at least it was nice to have the intro edited to actually fit our regions songs this time...
The one thing that really bugs be about GT5 Cinematics, is that the over-dub real life sounds :( Apart from that, I love GT5. Let's hope GT6 will not fail us.

Despite the first part going for about three years, this is better than GT6's intro just because of Moon Over the Castle.

one of the best game intros ever imo, gt games are always dripping with class (or they did at least).
I like Planetary go better because every passing car was perfectly on beat with the song, but this is equally as good because it is classic GT Music!
