thank you for getting me so excited about making magazines with blurb! It’s so important to print your own photography and this is just fabulous!
Really appreciate! I've been concerned that Blurb's lower prices were due to lower-quality paper and PDF-style uploading. But the magazine I'm working on is for fundraising, so the less we can spend on front-end production that doesn't undermine our asking price, the better!
I was right to have reservations about the PDF-style uploading.
I didn't get to see the ISBN marker embedded on the back cover until after uploading the magazine via BookWright -- it didn't even appear on the proof PDF's back page. I contacted customer service, and not only did they somehow turn the embedded marker into peel-off stickers, they got BookWright to add a feature where embedding the marker is now part of designing your back cover.
Aside from that, my "gamble" paid off big -- the only thing I feel that I "sacrificed" was a glossier cover. The paper and color quality is very much comparable to "real" photo books: my backgrounds consisted of dark textured patterns, and they reproduced as well as the photos! Looking forward to ordering the next shipment -- and there WILL be a next shipment!
Good stuff thanks so much for sharing this valuable resource and your magazines ❤️
I love this for the video 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Very inspiring thanks 🌻
Hi! nice work.
Great review of the magazines from Blurb. I am going to do some also. One question: which version of paper are these? Economy or premium? Thanks!
Thanks Ron Meyer. These are all printed on premium paper!
@@juliaschlosser7005 thank you for confirmation . That’s the paper I was planning on using.
@@ronm6359 VERY happy with the premium magazine paper -- not flimsy at all
Marvelous! I'm using BookWrite. How do I do a review on the computer before I submit it? Tanks in advance.
Should you do it inside the pink or can it print on the pink? I don’t want a border.
If you want a borderless "bleed," print OVER the pink.
The third one - is it a magazine or softcover book?
All three are magazines!
