The pants and belt technique is great for remembering. In the past, I have always had to pin and then open to make sure I was sewing correctly. Every. single. time. And when I would think, maybe, after doing a bunch of them, I had it down, it would be a nope.
Love the tutorials! And, yes, I would like to see the next one.

I do my binding pretty much the same way except I enjoy hand stitching it on the back. I get the time saving but the way I see it I have put so much love into making the quilt I want to finish it by hand. Just a little extra love. In fact it's the only way I have ever done it . Plus hand sewing is very therapeutic :) Great job and keep those tips and tricks coming. Btw..I am self taught so have made my share of mistakes. It would have been nice to have had a cell phone back then but can't have it all. Looking forward touch more fun and fabric. 🙋🧵

Great video Teancum, My sister taught me how to quilt and do bindings. However she never ironed the binding down.
That's a really great idea. I wish she was still with us so I could teach her something. I will be doing this on my next quilt. Thank you.

I was planning on sewing my binding down on the back by hand, but I accidentally machine sewed the binding to the back of my quilt instead of to the front. I just went with the flow and hand sewed it to the front. To bad I didn’t see this before that oops, as I could have saved time and just finished by machine binding. Thank you for sharing this tutorial.

I thought if you want a full binding you should use 3/8” seam. If you use 1/4” you’ll have 1/8” floppy area.
