      A pair of Tobisho or Okatsune would do the same, though possibly slower and therefore more torturous.

    Someone, somewhere out there, in the big wild world, will place a finger between the blades, pull the trigger and instantly regret it. The good news is, they will still have seven fingers remaining. 👍🏼👌✌️

      The problem is it so easy you get too confident. Even cutting the bamboo, you start with your other hand a foot away from where you are cutting, 5 cuts later it's right next to your fingers. I noticed this using it myself.

  • @i1bike

    if u think that makita pro version of those prunes is expensive, you are hardly mistaken mein liebe. Before makita came with those prunes, we europeans, were usually buying infaco cordless prunes that makita copied. We were paying it for 2k euros haha, while makita is only 1k euros. As u can see, makita is twice cheaper than the usual tool (swiss infaco) thats generally being used haha. Those prunes are made for vineyard, and they have to be super quality, cuz they have to survive 8 hours of scissoring for 90 days haha. We usually had a joke that infaco was using golden wires in the scissors, to explain the price haha

    I just received my pruners. Surprisingly they feel pretty solid and cut really fast and clean. In fact very very clean. Makita does need to make something like this pruner.
    Thanks for the tip on these pruners. I doubt I would have ever found them on my own. Nice birds! Nice channel! NZ rocks….
    Thank you!

    It's an awesome bit of kit, I've found if you hold the trigger down then turn the tool off it keeps the blades closed which is safer to store.

    Got 30 acres of lantana and dead wattle to shred. Just ordered two of these and couldn’t agree more about the makita genuine product. Who could justify $2k for a pruner? An 18v unit is all I need!

  • @FrankEdavidson
    @FrankEdavidson 3 роки тому +2

    Yep Makita, DeWalt and the others should do prosumer pruners. No one wants to have to buy a new battery platform. I'm not sure there's even a pruner on the Cordless Alliance System (CAS) .

    It seems to have some power, I wonder how it would stack up against the Milwaukee PVC shears? they are the same price here in Canada. The problem with Makita making it is they would charge more money for it and it would probably not work any better.

    We got ours the other day. I ordered about 3-4 months ago-pretty cool tool. I just wished it arrived before valentines because that week is the week I always prune everything in the garden to get ready for our gulf coast spring here in Texas. It is fantastic fun to chop stuff up so it fits in 😮trash can. I also turned branches into mulch when I was too lazy to bring to side of house with can. Thanks for the heads up. Home Depot has the DeWALT version.

    • @slyztercoreveanged3175
      @slyztercoreveanged3175 4 роки тому

      yeah, at first i though it just produce just enough power. But after seeing how it cut 1" branch like butter it kinda shock me. They should at least designt it with enough safety feature, it just to dangerous the way it is. You can easily cut some of you limb accidently. the trigger even has long trigger which is easily triggered..I know you need to respect the tool you use, but you still cant deny how this tool can make small mistake to big accident.

    • @ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL
      @ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL  4 роки тому +7

      It is not anywhere near as dangerous as any circular saw or angle grinder. You would have to deliberately put your finger or hand in it and pull the trigger. Would you put your hand in a standard pair of secateurs?

      A lot of people have injuries or are of an age where manually using a pair of secateurs is difficult, painful or impossible.
