One of all time favorites. She is spectacular! I was devastated when she couldn’t capitalize for herself as she had the most talent in both event finals!
With this routine, Cheng Fei earned a 15.750. It was the highest floor score from an official competition on the new system, a record only broken by Simone Biles at 2015 Worlds EF with a 15.800 and 8 counting skills.

actually Simone got 15.966 in 2015 world floor qualification. massive
@@videocool2010 It wasn't over-valuing, it was just back then they counted 10 skills instead of 8 towards a gymnast's D-score, the skills weren't themselves over-valued
Her music, tumbling, dance, turns, leaps is life goals tbh, I love love love her !! I wish she made it to London but I heard she tore her ACL a couple months before the London games if I'm not mixing up people :(
I like her 2004 music a lot better. I also noticed she lands with her chest down quite frequently, she shows a lot of power i'm surprised her coaches didn't correct that before the Games. She would get slaughtered in the new COP for that.
I agree with you- her 2004 routine (with music from Don Quijote) was great. This music, however, is from the Yellow River Concerto, which is a famous Chinese piece and would obviously be a good fit for the Beijing games. (Although I definitely liked her 2004 routine more)
Its because during that time in gymnastics, a lot of gymnasts would land with their chest down, then take a step back and raise their chest to symbolise power (this was especially true for the Chinese)
Her triple full is the best. So clean and high
Chinese girls have good form.
ugh... her chest was a little low and she took a step back, still beautiful though
no, Anastasia grishina's is.
@@sanasgirl Grishina's is a little softer in the knees though. Still very nice
The best triple twist ever. Literally textbook perfect.
Ou Yushan has the best triple twist.
Or Anastasia Grishina.
I think Anastasia Grishina is better but both good
This is the most 🌈 dramatic🌈and expressive routine I've seen in a long time and I'm on board, I miss these routines
her floor routines from that quad were ELITE, no one could ever hope to top her
@@conorfrost7440 I know 😭 I miss that
The times where everyone doing a step back was still able to get a decent score...
Weren’t you aloud to have a step back with no deductions if it’s controlled like in college
@@londonstewart2544 you were, it's called a lunge.
She was under imense pressure in these Games....Gold in the team final but ^only^ 2 bronze medals in the finals.
2 individualsi single medals in fantastic.

She always had low chest landings, I don’t think she ever got deducted accordingly
good for her
fei cheng... a brazilian kisses for you....i love you = fei cheng....um beijo brasileiro pra voc^e
if only she could have had this performance in the event final...
Powerful ending! In both tumbling and choreo

Imagine the E score in today's code with every landing being at a 90 degree chest angle
I LOVE her! She would have deserved to win so much!!!!!^^
love this routine
如果决赛有这样的表现就好了
决赛太遗憾了
The girl from Romania won with the US 2nd and 3rd right
15.750 😱
They over value a lot of skills back then now its more suitable

Cheng Fei was amazing. Team China 🇨🇳 was Fire 🔥 at the Beijing Olympics!
Does she have the same
Tumbling passes as Shawn Johnson in different order?

Those twisting forms... HOT
Wish you would add the scores as well
