Bon travail! The bass was a bit treble-y sounding to me; but if you prefer it to sound like that, then fine... to each their own. So far this is the best (bass) cover of 'Dani California' I've seen up here. I'm SO sick and tired of people -- while playing this song -- looking bored, as if it was a chore (or obligation) learning & playing it [as if someone MADE them do it]. There's also not really any improvisation... Flea hisself often improvises on this number while playing live. If I was playing this I would TEAR IT UP. They should at least APPEAR to enjoy themselves... AND also go outside the box as far as their playing is concerned. Also love that you're not only putting your all into this, but you also add some of your licks in there. I can understand why this video has gotten so many views. I've been looking for a (bass cover) like this for a while. The rest seem to look like a bump on a/the log while playing along to D.C. There's a couple of other horse-faced females over here [who I won't name, but they play bass guitar, too... it's not hard to find their videos over here] who the guys go ga-ga over (mainly b/c of their looks & the fact they happen to be females playing bass... as IF they're the very first females to do something quite ground-breaking as playing the bass guitar *YAWN/Eye-roll*), but I don't really understand it, b/c their bass playing is average at best. They get many, many views, but these young women are quite boring to look at & they lack charisma... not to mention I don't find them to be particularly cute. There are MANY more bass players & bass guitar covers over here that are MUCH better -- not to mention that the guys playing are much more pleasant to look at in my eyes -- but unfortunately their videos don't get as much attention/views. People can be so stupid and lame, but I digress. But merci for making Flea proud. ;D
