Got killed by a gang of angry chickens on Nightmare difficulty early in the game, it was an eye opener
Sometimes when you're fighting humans, the chickens will become aggressive. There IS ONLY 1 POSSIBLE EXPLANATION:

In skyrim when you accidentally attack a chicken the town tries to kill you. In odyssey, the chicken kills you.
You can light your arrows by equiping a torch. Chucking it by your feet and then crounch with your bow drawn

This game has actually taken me away from RDR2, I needed a break and fair play this is the best Creed game in a VERY long time.
Jon Burdekin I got them both for Christmas. Haven’t even started RDR2

Tips and tricks for assassin’s creed Odyssey
1)use boutons to play the game
3)spam heavy attack
4) or light attack
5) arrows do damage
6) use left thumb stick to move
7) Get good.
Real tip: Carefully connect wine spillage with grassy areas throughout a camp, and take the whole thing down with one fire arrow. It takes a few fire and stealth perks, as well as a bit of time, but the result is lovely.
I didn't know about the parrying arrows, very interesting.
For number 12, when u board an enemy ship and kill everyone it restores ur ships health to full. This is useful when u are fighting a fleet, boarding a ship and getting ur health restored is a great tactic to make fighting multiple ships manageable.

Actually the game does tell you how to put out fire
The loading screen tells you to tap dodge. Which is wrong. I think once you've been incinerated 20 times u unlock a screen that says "oh did i say tap i meant hold spacebar to roll = the best method."
It also tells you about enemy ships weak points
Another trick that I learned is that you can fire a poison arrow into a source of fire and it will explode setting everything around it on fire. For example in the many tombs you can find snakes, sometimes they are close to each other. Throw your torch at the one in the middle, and shoot it's burning corpse with a poison arrow and it will explode and instantly kill the snakes that are right next to it as well. I learned this accidentally, I threw a torch at a snake to kill it, but it missed I was using the Fanged Bow which turns normal arrows into poison ones, so I went to shoot the snake and the arrow passed through the fire and exploded.
tip 15: ram ships with boosted speed instead of boarding them and you ll get double the resources
Boarding ships was a viable strategy in Black Flag also

Tip: If you attack after you jump from a ledge, by the time you reach the ground you can do a seismic landing that will knock enemies away and also deal some damage.

yes drop and roll, best way to deal with being on fire..........duck and cover is also good. ...... cool vid !
15. You can defeat any mercenary even if it is 10 - 15 levels above your level. This is applicable if they are hunting you.
Here's how.
- Dock the adestria.
- Lure them near the dock and jump right in the adestria (no need to undock).
- Fire away.. cos they will get stuck and cant even move.. but sometimes they also fight back with arrows. But your still safe cos you have so many covers.
I discovered it myself when a mercenary was hunting me.. it was 9 levels above me so I ran away and jump in the adestria, then I saw it cannot move and I just shoot him with arrows without taking any damage. I repeated the same technique and this time she can move and fire back her arrows but cant hit me. So I just shoot her down again.

Best tip video I have seen so far
In 0:58 the fire our trick you can actually set the arrow on fire without those fires you can use the flame attack ability that makes your sword firey and it also makes your arrows firey
you can kill enemies from a distance by repeatedly throwing the torch. you can do that by throwing it at an arch, just aim until the health bar of the enemy your targeting is visible. this of course depends on how far you are from them
Something I've been doing to avoid bounty hunters is to switch to unarmed when fighting groups of soldiers. By knocking them out instead of killing them, you gain no bounty. After a certain level you can press right on the d-pad to switch to your secondary weapon, which i keep unarmed, and then just knock people out. Works great with a tank build.
Edit: if you use the Greek Heroes set, and stack with engravings for additional resistance/health, even elite enemies do barely any damage. The Greek Heroes set gives you 30% to all resistances by base
additional tip , if you have a lot of drachmae buy items at Blacksmith to dismantle for resources, of course you have to buy items that is rich of the specifc resources you need. also blacksmiths sells resources always visit one if available in the new places. in this way upgrades of weapon and ships will not be a problem.
Is it possible to get/use the round red circle grenade explosive/poison that merc's always throw at me? What is that?
did you play the game exploraion mode rather guide mode?, most of this have tips pop out and you'll probably look for it whe you play other ac games

I've been trying to figure out how to combine 2 keys so one tap triggers them both. I see it's an option that is listed while you're waiting for the game to start. I would like to combine dodge then parry.............
No matter how much hate this game gets, its probably my favorite game of all time
This game has broken my RB on my Xbox One Elite Controller.
I still play it.
The biggest tip I can give anyone is always have a 2 handed heavy weapon equipped, enemies love to turtle up behind their shields and a heavy weapon can easily break their guard with normal swings.

Switching to photo mode for combat is the most galaxy brain thing I’ve learned about this game

You can check out the ship on arrows or javelins for the "weak point creation percentage".

One of the few videos where there is actually less known tips such as fire arrows, wine etc.
Bad timing for this video with RDR2 out lol. Still after finishing Spiderman, having RDR2 and Odyssey each with 100s of hours of content and getting to replay spyro, the first game i ever played again after so long. boy what a good last quarter.

The 4th Hogake's jutsu is the best ability hands down.
If we ignore the block arrow and the photo thing I knew all of them... Heres a tip, go to some road, take some long weapon, take your horse and go hit and run strategy, it's doing much more dmg to big enemies and it doesn't matter how many enemies you have

please tell me how to use the second melee ability wheel/set of abilities! which shows under the primary. some people say you need level 15 and spear 3 upgrade. But I am done spear 5 upgrade and a@ level 46, so tell me how to activate /use of that.

Go onto the new ability you want to assign, and then click A/X to assign it, then hit DOWN on the d-pad to bring up a second ability wheel. In combat, hold LB/L1 and press down on d-pad to switch between your tho wheels

i prefer selling items and bought materials in shop, that way you can get 10x more materials than dismantling it.
Poison actually do more damage then fire plus you won't burn everything down and hurt yourself
Good tip in my oppinion is that if you attack a camp during night me,some of the guards may be asleep

Jason M no. The majority would say the trilogy is better. Or if you want something similar to Odyssey, try Orgins, most say it’s better

I have well over 200 hours on the game and I can safely tell you that torches are useless. The fire does no damage if not with a fire build, and it's better if you either use the fire ability or engrave your weapon with "weapon damage does fire damage" as it will also upgrade your normal attack.

Quack Quack, sorry mate but I gotta disagree with you there, I killed two mercenaries with one torch, and it was just marginally harder than with a sword or knives. I dunno maybe someone who has finished the game would know better, oh wait, oh wait I have finished the game.

What are the controls for pc
Ok, all but the photo mode and skill points for exploring tombs (which is not accurate on Normal) are explained to you in the game. They are stated once for most of them.
Do you only get the ability points on easy or hard for going in the tombs?

i knew every single one of them as i have finished the game 5 times and the dlc
I never lock on to enemies. I just parry and counter any attack. Its better imo
Fly your bird away to get out of investigation mode.
Downside: enemies recieve full health again.
The best way to kill SHARKS is Poseidon Fork. Just make sure to kill them on bottom of the sea or on the surface of corral reef etc
The BEST way to kill sharks is arrow. Ikaros to mark their locations, swim on top of them and shoot arrows from water surface.
Throwing torches at snakes in tombs is basically the only thing I use them for

I don't remember the game ever telling about flammable liquids or arrows. Getting health back by spending adrenaline might have been explained but I'm not sure.
