The way they portrayed the soldiers was honestly hilariously insulting. But if you have around an hour and a half to dispose of and don't care how you waste it this movie will certainly do the job.
Literally just found your channel while looking for reactions to this movie. You guys rock for reacting to this film. This has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid in the 80's and it just gets better and better each time I've seen it. It truly is one of the best 80's action films ever made. As cheesy a rep Cannon had for cranking out action films, they knew what the hell they were doing when they made this one. I'll take a Cannon action film over the majority of what gets passed for an action film these days.
THIS was Chuck's best action film whereas "The Octagon" was his best martial arts film (with "Lone Wolf McQuade" a close second). His best film overall in terms of story and acting is "Code of Silence" with "An Eye for An Eye" a close second. You should watch "An Eye for an Eye" - its one of his better films and lots of spin kicks.
@@JasonBrant you should SBIG the Octagon. There is literally random whispering going on as like background sound. Its like Ninja whispers.. or chuck thinking to himself… I dont remember what it was all about. But it is a weird ass film lol

There's an elite group of kids in the 80's that grew up watching this movie, and we've all gone on to have distinguished military careers or ended up distinguishing ourselves in some other way.
Wanna know a cool fact? The guy Who dubbed Chuck in the latino versión (seconds or third dubbing) was Beto Vélez, Who Is famous for dubbing Homer Simpson (1990-2005) and returned just for season 32.
Invasion USA was the turning point of my watching TV. Without watching the full movie I remember a scene of a pencil (John wick) paid homage , as well as the joker..
Have you guys ever seen Avenging Force with Michael Dudikoff? It was intended to be a sequel to Invasion USA with Dudikoff now playing character of Matt Hunter. It’s a Hard Target movie before Hard Target where he’s hunted through the bayou by a team of killers each with unique methods of dispatching prey. It’s worthy of this channel as is Death Wish 3 with Charles Bronson. Now THAT is a beer and a laugh out loud movie!!
@@onlythetruth4039 I think, in this movie, they were motivated politically. All of the terrorists were from different communist countries and/or groups. Pretty sure the Cold War was still going quite strong when this movie came out. Kinda "funny", too, if you look at it from the "Operation Northwood" proposal angle nowadays.
@@markuswierer1755 I noticed that most of the enemies of Chuck Norris are always central Americans, Arabs and communist Europeans. I heard that Chuck's Native Indian father and uncles always told him how mad mexicans were toward Cherokees and other American natives. Although Chuck identify as a white guy, his native Indian side is still there in his mind. He made many interviews about the danger of Mexican immigration and the MS-13 gangs. He supported Reagan, Georges Bush and Trump with their wall projects.
Have you seen Delta Force? It's not half as good as this, but the finale does have a bike with rockets on it... I remember being disappointed with this movie as a kid as I wanted more Norris kicks. So you don't think "We need rugged, traditionally masculine American men of action who aren't bound by the law or Geneva Convention to defeat evil foreigners with their guns." isn't a message? I mean, it's escapist OTT fun, but it's far from apolitical, this is the NRA's wet dream.

A friend of a friend was in this movie. They worked as a park ranger at one of the filming locations and got a part as one of the invaders off the boat.
I love the way you 2 guys love the brutal violence. Has anyone noticed that Golan-Globus/Canon films has recycled that dramatic theme music in multiple movies.
The Cannon Group only spent like Five Million Dollars on any film they ever made. The neighborhood house attack scene was filmed in an abandoned part of town in Atlanta, GA that was set to be demolished which eventully became the runway at the Main Atlanta Airport.
You guys have an awesome channel. Finally decided to subscribe, as I have had so much fun already watching these "masterpieces" through your reactions (ok, this movie was actually ok, as far as cheesy 80s action movies go).
Pretty sure Chuck has drop-kicked a car or two, but i'd love to see a movie where he kicks a rocket mid-air. I was expecting his shot at the end to hit the other guy's shot perfectly. A missed opportunity, there.
What was the point of blowing up houses? They’re not military assets. OMG, all the point blank executions and dick shooting are amazing. How is this movie not more famous? Even weirder since that Chuck Norris meme photo is from this movie.
Also the LAW (Light Anti tank weapon) he's using can only be fired once. But since it's one of "those" types of movies he has the infinity ammo cheat activated LOL
The aim of the terrorists is to destablize the entire U.S., make everyone afraid of everyone else. Random killings, blowing up neighborhoods, masquerading as cops or military, would all be a part of that. In the Novel version, there's a sequence where the terrorists shoot up a Synagogue, and their car license plates are fake duplicates of plates belonging to known White Supremacists. Also a sequence where the terrorists destroy a Social Security records office.
@@DougRayPhillips Fear, of course, was part of their plan. However, there is no chance those who planned 9/11 would have anticipated the scope of what unfolded as a result (it would take pages and pages to list all the unintended consequences of both their actions and ours). After all, terrorist attacks never so completely transformed a country or the world before 9/11. Half the consequences wouldn’t manifest until technology advanced (it’s hard for many to grasp how analogue the world still was in 2001).

The way those airboats lined up for the camera after shutting off their engines?? That Had to be the Movie Gods shining down upon the crew!!
Is it SBIG material? Or should I watch it off camera?
@@JasonBrant well, Code of Silence is not cheesy as Norris' Canon films, it's just a pretty good movie as far as I remember
Code of Silence has a semi-famous robot tank in it as Chuck's co-star. o:
Dude. The Octagon was so fucking weird. All the whispering and bs going on. I could never get into the Octagon lol. Absolute madness
@@JasonBrant you should SBIG the Octagon. There is literally random whispering going on as like background sound. Its like Ninja whispers.. or chuck thinking to himself… I dont remember what it was all about. But it is a weird ass film lol
Church Norris is such a bad ass that he created time travel just to go back to his birthday...because no one spanks Chuck Norris, but Chuck Norris! 🤣
Chuck Norris wasn't born, he just was!
1:00 - Heard "That was Chuck Norris actually doing it" but didn't look up 'til 1:07; thought I'd missed Chuck snorting lines of Coke!
Is that a rocket launcher - he's going to fight Chuck!! lol >XD
How many push-ups can Chuck Norris do? All of them... and he doesn't push his self up, he pushes the world down!! :D
This is one of those movies that makes fun of itself. Even though it's rated R for legal reasons you know the theaters were packed full 12-14 year old kids because this ridiculous action is SO COOL to them, they loved it while everyone else was laughing.
12:44 XD
I would have lost my mind if I'd seen this at 14!
One of my favorite Christmas movies
There's an elite group of kids in the 80's that grew up watching this movie, and we've all gone on to have distinguished military careers or ended up distinguishing ourselves in some other way.
🤣
And now they're "wanted for a crime they didn't commit" 😉
We rented the sh!# out of this movie when I was a kid!! Freaking loved it!!
Wanna know a cool fact? The guy Who dubbed Chuck in the latino versión (seconds or third dubbing) was Beto Vélez, Who Is famous for dubbing Homer Simpson (1990-2005) and returned just for season 32.
That is a cool fact. Insane that The Simpsons has aired for 32 seasons too.
Death Wish 3 is coming in two weeks, I believe. Avenging Force is on our watchlist. Thanks!
@@JasonBrant we need more Bronson movies, as well 🥺
I loved this as a kid. My Dad bought it on VHS back in the day.
The cocaine scene still haunts me to this day! Haha One of my favorite 80s movies of all time.
That was such a unique scene. Loved every second of it.
@@JasonBrant I still have no idea what's behind the terrorists violence. Are they similar to the German terrorists in Bruce Willis "Die hard"?
Chuck Eastwood knows how to accessorize: an arsenal for every occasion
Have you seen Delta Force? It's not half as good as this, but the finale does have a bike with rockets on it...
I remember being disappointed with this movie as a kid as I wanted more Norris kicks. But seeing clips again, I was stupid. This rules! That stuntwoman hanging off the side if the truck is the true MVP of the movie though.
I haven't seen it, but I added it to the list after watching this gem. Yeah, the stunt woman was insane!
@@JasonBrant what's weird is Delta Force is based off a real hijacking and aside from the kill count, there's actually a reasonable amount they get right. Sans Rocket bikes of course 😄
@@DeanS946 You had me at rocket bike, haha.
I love the delta force movies. The soundtrack plays in my head sometimes. Highly recommend it
Love Delta force. Delta force 2 is deffo in invasion USA territory though. Waaaay ott excessive and Billy Drago stealing every scene. You'd love it! Lol.
I love it, Erin wasnt even there but shes still doing commentary in the background.
"Is that a rocket launcher?"
"Theyre going to fight Chuck Norris, Erin." 🤣🤣🤣
Surprised. Compared to the others, this one is almost well done.
This movie is so much fun. If you haven't seen it, Invasion USA is a must watch.
@@JasonBrant My only regret in that movie is that Chuck didn't cut this evil guy in pieces for all he has done.
Killing him with a bazooka seem more like a mercy killing, he could have take his time with more bold karate moves and all sorts of Steven Seagal type of violences.
I just realized something even after seening this movie twice irl the guns sound excellent in this movie like they really pack a punch. They dont sound anemic like some other movies. Well done prop gun dude who's official title escapes me at the moment.......... ARMORER! TOOK ME A SECOND BUT I GOT THERE!
America lost its way when Chuck stopped making films.
Preach!
Nice one lads!, your commentary is hilarious!. I saw this when it first came out when I was 9, it's a blinding film! (Blinding is London slang for something really good).Cheers lads!
Thanks! We love this movie so much.
I can't believe you guys have never seen this movie! Great video!
Richard Lynch is the main villain and the poor guy gets shot in his nether regions is Billy Drago.
Richard Lynch is a legend.
I grew up with these movies. I remember renting this numerous times at the local video store. Yeah that's how old I am. One of my favorite action movies. 👊
When people made movies just to be fun and not send some kinda message
Damn the 80s was good lol
Amen.
So you don't think "We need rugged, traditionally masculine American men of action who aren't bound by the law or Geneva Convention to defeat evil foreigners with their guns." isn't a message? I mean, it's escapist OTT fun, but it's far from apolitical, this is the NRA's wet dream.
@@paulgibbon5991 you're an idiot
@derekprospero exactly. Glad you realized 😊
@@derekprosperoAmerica is the message 😤😤😤
God, I borrowed this movie from my grandma when I was 12 and had NEVER laughed so hard at a movie as I did with this, f$cking masterpiece!!!!!
I wish I could have seen it that young. It's so damned hilarious.
Hilarious stuff guys! Subscribed! My favorite 80's action movie. Must've watched it 20 times at least. Pure hilarious badassery! Maybe you guys can do perfect weapon or showdown in little tokyo or red scorpion if you haven't already.
Will do. Thanks for the suggestion.
This guy David you’re watching the video with is funny as hell! When he laughs it’s great!
A friend of a friend was in this movie. They worked as a park ranger at one of the filming locations and got a part as one of the invaders off the boat.
That's killer!
12:59 That feeling when you prestige your favorite weapon in a game. 😮💨
I love the way you 2 guys love the brutal violence. Has anyone noticed that Golan-Globus/Canon films has recycled that dramatic theme music in multiple movies.
I hadn't noticed that. I'll pay closer attention.
@@JasonBrant Assassination and Death Wish 4, both with Charles Bronson are 2 of them. I think Chuck used it again as well.
Saw this in the theater when it came out. Now I have to watch it again. Diamond Dave rocks.
I'm obsessed with this movie now.
@@JasonBrant I saw the BluRay is only 50 smackers.
@@huntershea3778 I expect that for Christmas then.
The Cannon Group only spent like Five Million Dollars on any film they ever made. The neighborhood house attack scene was filmed in an abandoned part of town in Atlanta, GA that was set to be demolished which eventully became the runway at the Main Atlanta Airport.
So they actually went and legitmately blew up the neighbourhood?
Yeah, they blew the entire neighborhood up.
These two are by far the best combination on this channel.
You guys have an awesome channel. Finally decided to subscribe, as I have had so much fun already watching these "masterpieces" through your reactions (ok, this movie was actually ok, as far as cheesy 80s action movies go).
Welcome aboard! Thanks so much!
Love this movie it's so good. A true Christmas classic.
Missing in Action 3 is another hilarious Chuck film come to think.
Will do. Thanks!
Billy Drago dies in everything he's in.😆
🤣🤣
He didnt die in the japanese/american collaborated horror film imprint, directed by takashi miike.
He's in Hero and the Terror.
“Car chases. Spolions”🤣
Pretty sure Chuck has drop-kicked a car or two, but i'd love to see a movie where he kicks a rocket mid-air. I was expecting his shot at the end to hit the other guy's shot perfectly. A missed opportunity, there.
fantastic midnight movie..love it and love big chuck
What was the point of blowing up houses? They’re not military assets. OMG, all the point blank executions and dick shooting are amazing. How is this movie not more famous? Even weirder since that Chuck Norris meme photo is from this movie.
I don't know how I never watched this before, but it's amazing.
@@jamesnoble3502 Chuck Norris is the cheat-code.
