Never in my young life 80's-90's or adult life did i think identifying the starts were so important. Following suit, now when i get in my vehicle in the morning by golly, i need to shout out to anyone listening in the area, im doing a cold start. Don't want anyone to get confused. Must be a millennial or generation Z thing.

Cold starts are louder than warm starts. On a cold start, the engine revs higher to warm up the catalytic converters.
