My 2005 dodge Dakota SLT 4.7L still gets hot when I'm using the AC and driving uphill . Temp climbs from 49% too approx 80% ... But when I get to level surface the temp goes back down to 50%. I have already changed the thermostat, the water pump and radiator. I hope this will correct my current temp problem ?
Wow! Your Fan Clutch Tips & Work Craftsmanship are amazing! Thank you much! you have also shown many of us Dodge Dakota Folks, we may not need to remove that dang pesky shroud up top to get going with a *Serpentine* *Belt* Replacement. For that _"Dodge Serpent Job"_ it looks like we just need to remove the Fan Blade/Clutch Assembly, only, to begin sliding the S Belt into place and even adjust the tension pulley on the top left while enjoying a full view of everything!
Thanks for the video! I am looking to replace my stock fan on my 01 Dakota and this helped me greatly to ease the installation. I can't find similar blades like the one you're using, mostly metal replacements only. I guess I am going to have to change the whole assy for an electric fan but your video cleared up any questions that I had. Thanks again!
Good deal,, I have a similar to your Dakota, mine is 2000 3.9ltr. The fan schroud was what i was wondering about - you got the fan off without removing the schroud,, excellent time saver. Thanks for sharing your work partner,, it really helps. Your video has been seen almost 2,000 times yet no one took the time to Thank you,, I am happy to say Thank YOU and UA-cam for sharing. Two thumbs up!!
Great video, but anyone wondering if you have to take the fan shroud off on a ram van, you do, you have zero visible, and the fan shroud has to come off to gain access, it's simple 4 bolts and the top of the fan shroud comes off.... Leave the bottom part in place.... Put back on when finished.
Thank you very much, I didn't think it would be that easy.
