Not only am I learning, being inspired, taking mental notes, I don't even mind how long this interview is. I find that I used to speed up podcasts or videos to get all my lists done but you cannot speed this important video up. So brilliant and very thankful for the questions and answers in the interview! I also love that he is apologizing when he himself wasn't healthy and now making it right by his weekly videos, seminars, coaching, and continued research on the "PHD". I love hearing all the great results!

Thanks for the “like” reminder. I run my own arborist channel and I literally forget to like videos that I like 😃 I am 10 months ketogenic. At 59 and a climbing arborist, I have gained 20 years of youth in functional ability. That is very meaningful as an industrial athlete. Dr. Barry is one of my favorites. He is so practical and common sense based. I will eventually listen to all four hours . Sometimes you just have to post the whole thing. Sure does make editing easier 😃

      Dr Chaffe!
And just to comment on the last 15 minutes .... No, not every ancestor of everyone drank blood. If Dr Berry was a devoted Christian, he would realize that God forbid the consumption of blood in the Bible... So sure, maybe 'some' cultures that did not follow The Word of God may have consumed blood, but those of us from the lineage of Abraham most assuredly did not. And will not, at least to our knowledge, ever do so with any intent. It's interesting he did point out people were taught it is a sin... So not sure why he doesnt connect that those teachings were passed down just as long as we have been eating meat... Bc the command to not consume the blood was given from the beginning of eating meat.... But I dont think he is a Christian considering the billions of years comments etc. It's ok, I still appreciate Dr Berry greatly.... Just not at all on the same page with everything. Thanks for doing this interview! It was great otherwise!

Really enjoyed this episode! I told all my doctors how much fatigue I was having. Only one of them, my OB-Gyn offered to check my testosterone level. She told me on the return visit that my level was so low, it was undetectable. She prescribed a conjugated cream supplement and I felt much better within two weeks. It's not just a male thing-- low T makes women feel crappy too!

At 800 lbs I had given up on life. I found Dr Berry’s carnivore videos and thought to myself continue what I’m doing and die, or eat meat and have a heart attack. The second option seemed quicker, so took that not expecting to lose any weight or get my life back. 500 lbs lost, I am no longer house bound, I am driving again and living my life. At 52 years old, I look and feel better than I did in my 20s. I can’t thank Dr Berry enough for all he does in the community. He truly saved my life. Xx

I felt the same way. I would have rather died than continue feeling the way I felt. So a diet that, based on everything I knew about meat from the powers that be, would kill me, didn’t seem any different than where I was already heading. And I knew I’d tried everything else without feeling better. I think that mindset (as horrible as it sounds) was what kept me going through the first few months of carnivore when my body was going crazy and doing lots of weird (and sometimes scary) things.

I eat chaffles for my first meal of the day: equal parts egg and mozzarella cheese with a spoonful of coconut flour in a mini waffle maker. Top it with butter and it is better than any bread to me. I have to post this here as I truly feel it is linked to the massive amount of humans that are very deficient in iodine! I agree that natural iodine is depleted from our soils, but I firmly believe that this push of humans consume large quantities of cruciferous veggies is really harming human health and has drastically caused this excessive high rate of iodine deficiencies! Everyone is told eat lots of cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, asparagus, brussel sprouts to name common ones- but google cruciferous veggies as there are at least 30 of them), but cruciferous veggies block the absorption of natural iodine found in foods! Everyone is told cruciferous veggies prevent cancer, but that is NOT true! Every time I ask people who have any form of cancer, fibrocystic breast masses, polyps on their gender internal organs, cysts on their internal gender organs, PCOS, hormones issues, nodules on thyroids, I ask them, “do you eat cruciferous veggies” and they all say “YES!” I have done this so many times in comment sections with carnivore interviews and they all say yes!
Cruciferous veggies should be banned or have a large warning label on them that they damage the thyroid, cause cancer, and all the other issues listed above!
Before I switched to carnivore, I ate broccoli daily for 6 years with half a chicken skinless breast, and a little of whole wheat noodles. In those 6 years I had a build up of fibrocystic masses in my chest. Then I started getting huge very painful cysts with one as large as 2” x 1”, and many smaller ones around 1”x1”. I became fed up with docs saying about breast cysts and fibrocystic breast masses , “it is normal,” “nothing you can do,” “we don’t know why it happens,” “diet does not cause it,” “it can turn into cancer,” “it is a disease that may not turn into cancer,” “you can’t reverse it,” “eat more plants,” “saturated fats makes it worse,”. ALL NOT true!
I started researching on my own and found out fibrocystic breast masses swell and occur due to seeking for natural iodine in the body. All organs need it! Cruciferous veggies block absorption of iodine!! Saturated fats are VERY GOOD for the human body and helps heal all on carnivore diet and avoid plants! I jumped right into carnivore with zero plants and sure enough my fibrocystic masses started shrinking. I added a drop of Lugal’s iodine 2% or 5% to a glass of water at the start to help build up my iodine deficiency as well.
I am now 1 year 6 months into carnivore and all my cysts have been gone, and I barely have any fibrocystic masses anymore. All shrank and almost all gone. Everyone that replies to me saying they had fibrocystic breast issues they all said they ate cruciferous veggies too because we are told to by docs!!! But the fact that people with any cancer also have been eating cruciferous veggies isn’t good and red flag that cruciferous veggies are causing all this due to blocking iodine!
And broccoli alone has over 100 natural toxins in it alone, besides it blocking iodine! Avoid! Avoid all plants to be honest!
Look up cruciferous veggies as there are at least 30 of them! Google it to see!
Here is another thought, canola oils is hgihly processed yes, very bad- but also look that canola oil is made from rape seed and that is also a cruciferous veggie on Wikipedia’s list of cruciferous veggies, so it is ALSO harming the human body by blocking iodine too!!
People needs to publish papers and books on how harmful cruciferous veggies can be and how this occurs, and shows how it is leading into this world wide iodine deficiency occurring! It’s not just because soils are depleted with iodine, it’s this mass eating of all the cruciferous veggies being pushed on humans with misinformation everywhere! Maybe Dr. Berry or Jessie will at some point, passing that idea to them!
Stay away from cruciferous veggies! Docs, please stop telling people they are good for us! That’s my rant on that topic! Say “no” to cruciferous veggies! Go carnivore! I am carnivore for life!
Anyone that has eating cruciferous veggies and have health issues please leave a post here!! Let us know your story!

Newer understanding has allowed some of us to recognize that our govt. & large corporations don’t have the citizens’(quickly becoming extinct middle class)best interest, in mind. Human nature hasn’t changed one iota , except maybe genetic engineering, by extraterrestrials, may eventually benefit our human species. I am a cynic. I believe they have their own agenda.

1:35:56 Starting my 11 month in doing carnivore. Not perfect. Retired 2 years from emergency nursing. 256lbs tired depressed unhappy. Now 179lbs, little exercise but some, feeling much better, depression lifted, happy wow!! Looking good, labito crazy improved, walk 3 to 5 miles per day. In a carbohydrate home spouse not on board whom is a diabetic on insulin, ozempic and blood pressure meds and a couple of more to pee out sugar. However I have noticed they cut down on their carb consumption watching me, one of their blood pressure pills with their doctor had to be reduced. With ozempic they have lost weight but unfortunately some muscle loss. I don't practice nursing at home, as an argument will come to be. My third relationship and have learned to shut my mouth, lead by example. lost my partner 9 years ago this month after a 30 year short relationship massive coronary event. I am off most of my meds one two med for prostate issues. Off my prevacid for gastric reflux, off blood pressure pills, off antidepressants. All my aches and pain gone. However, just off a boat cruise, went off carnivore i could of done it lots of food choices on the ship to have done so. I had many sugary alcoholic beverages, eat many desserts, oh my goodness lots of bread, gained 5lbs in the 7 days on board. 90 percent of the people on board were overweight male, female, children young teens early to late 20's were either pudgy, fat, and many morbidly obese. Got home back to carnivore lifestyle don't like to say diet. Thought I had COVID tested twice thankfully negative so perhaps the flu, then ding dong sugar withdrawal, day 4 home feeling better each day, all my joints ached what hair I have left hurt, my back pain crazy uncomfortable. Sugar=inflammation good experience great reinforcement no regrets

Many Thanks to Ken Berry for helping me get my life and health back …
    My N of 1
During the extreme lockdown here in the Philippines, January 2021 I was obese type 2, 94Kg/207lbs, (I’m only 5’6”) with pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. I was suffering from metabolic syndrome. I understood the comorbidity I had as a 57 year old would greatly affect me if I contracted the Rona. I had to lose fat, reverse hypertension, reverse my NAFLD and reduce my HbA1c.
Sitting in my armchair at the beginning of lockdown I saw that the keto/ketovore/carnivore diet claimed it could ‘cure’ my ailments. I watched a bunch of videos and tried to understand the linked papers supporting the claims. End result was that it simply made a lot of sense to me.
After procrastinating for a couple of weeks I saw a video by Ken D Berry, MD where he said ‘Just do it’! … so I did 🤓
8 months later, whilst still sitting in my armchair (most of the time). I had lost the 30kg/66lbs of fat that was required to get me down to a ‘normal’ BMI, I GREATLY improved my blood pressure to the point it raised my wife’s eyebrows, she’s a First Responder. My blood sugar was well back in to the ‘normal’ range and I vastly reduced inflammation.
I also reversed IBS that had controlled my life for 40 years (I lost jobs because of it), got rid of decades long debilitating heartburn, my Testosterone went up drastically and I stopped snoring … my wife is happy 🤓 I was ‘foggy’ & forgetful, I sometimes also slurred my words and forgot what I was talking about mid sentence, possible early stage MCI ? This has completely reversed! Undiagnosed but recognised by my family I got out of a bad case of lockdown depression.
A year ago I further decided to cut out most vegetables from my meat heavy Keto WOE, only adding on occasion a little onion, garlic, green peppers, tomato and a pickle here and there for some flavour… always salting to taste. Improvements are continuing with a pace with better mental health, blood markers, skin conditions (skin tags have also disappeared) etc.
Most recently I have noticed pain improving in my back associated with osteoporosis in my lower spine. I don’t sweat like I did earlier in life, slimmer or overweight. Also I am using old prescription glasses as I can see through them better, eye floaters are disappearing… possible eyesight improvements? I don’t go lobster red peel and go back to pale white after being in the Sun anymore … I hold a slight tan. Spider veins are clearing up on my outer thighs.
Simply eating nutrient dense meat, HEAVY in animal fat, eggs, seafood, salmon … single ingredient real food is all it took …
Whilst cutting out processed food, sugar/carbohydrates and seed/‘vegetable’ oils and most dairy.
We THRIVE when eating our evolved, species specific Proper Human Diet along with some intermittent fasting to mimic the way our ancestors survived.
I’m sure there are thousands upon thousands of people that have similar anecdotal stories to tell … Please tell them … get the message out there!

But now I don't care, it feels so good to eat real food. Actually, I feel happier now, other foods don't mean nothing to me now. I fully enjoy my unsalted butter from time to time, it is like my nowadays ice cream.😂😂. To be honest , I have lost so much weight, having a few bites of butter for breakfast with my coffee or every time i feel hungry and eating my meal around 5pm, actually I don't even feel hunger anymore. I hope carnivore diet is a diet with no consequences because I would love to be on this diet forever ❤❤. By the way , butter helps with hunger while fasting and doesn't elevate blood glucose.

Well so am I, but I actually try to do so without exploiting others. These people are criminals because are stealing our vitality. Every year my health declined until I could barely get my work done. All my joints hurt, and I was exhausted by 4pm every day. I am carnivore and on the road to some recovery, but they have taken a lot from me. I will not forgive these people. My A1c was 5.9, my CRP was 11 at present still a bit elevated, fasting blood glucose 6.2. I requested the crp and fasting insulin to be done. I got the results have not yet seen my doctor. On the phone with them told them of a 76lbs of weight loss. I said I believe I am pre diabetic, because of my blood markers, they were concerned of my weight loss and bone density. My doctor admitted not understanding the fasting insulin not sure how to interpret it. I said it should be 8 or much better less, on the labs it will be tagged as low below 25, but that is wrong. My fasting insulin is 36, so am still healing. I am now going for a bone density test. Because of my diet on carnivore i won't concern myself with being pre diabetic or diabetic as that will take care of itself, definitely a metabolic disorder and mitochondrial disfuntion. So diametrically opposite of my education mind blowing

I started keto 1 year ago feel better again & got rid of my sinuses permanently, 1st time in decades. More Carnivor l started 6 months ago and my energy levels are off the scale & can work for hours. The only issue is constipation because l eat native wild meat (kangeroo) which has no fat so l now cook in gee and eat butter and eat green vegs or swig coconut MCL if chronicly constipated. Just need to tune my intake with fat l believe. I am not happy eating cows or chicken as l have to rely on humans to feed nutrient rich grass. I know the mineral content of wild meat & fish is a must. All the people l care about have passed with a different chronic disease or fatal medical drugs.

I’m very happy and strong on grassfed ruminants, caviar, oysters, cod liver, salt, grapefruit, water and occasionally matcha after a large brunch. My labs aren’t just within range but optimal. This is actually easy for me bc everyone knows exactly what to keep stocked and make for me. I don’t go to the gym or run but I’m constantly in motion doing things and multi tasking. I party hard every once in a while and it’s not a problem.

Dr. Anthony Chaffee literally saved my life half a year ago by spreading the truth. I was then binge watching him, Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Eric Westman for weeks for support. Now I am regaining my health and returning to life again. Finally!

A friend sent me a video by Dr. Mercola , that video was about 100% opposite of what Dr.Berry and Dr.Westman teach, I couldn’t listen to it any more. He literally said Fasting isn’t safe for most people and glucose is superior to fat 😮

Jesse I agree with some of what you said..regarding about the "age/activity level when someone starts their journey. It does matter, but what I can tell you that once someone gets rolling with a proper human diet, their mental state about the whole activity level will greatly improve, and they will find they can and will engage in some level of activity. While personally... I'm about ready to start competing at 66, I dont expect most people will go that extreme.. but I can tell you that mentally and physcially.. going carnivore..will be life changing. I know the carnivore diet super jazzed me up. I do high intensity training road cycling- sprints/weight-resistance training.

I did a four week water fast and when I started eating I did not start with coffee again. The whole fasting process reset my food addictions. They just left me obviously for good. I don't feel for any of the other bad foods like bread and potato chips. The only foods I am eating now are mainly meats, lots of raw meats, eggs, I have always loved liver, butter, self made sauerkraut, ACV, onions and arugula. Once in a while I love the juice of a grapefruit or lemon.. And this is all that my body wants now.

I am a retired family physician. I live for decades on adrenaline and cortisol to perform in the face of long hours and stressful decisions, Sugar was one more path to performance in the face of fatigue. I found that giving up the sugar was much easier than giving up adrenaline, but think cutting back adrenaline was better for my health and relationships. What if anything do you do to control cortisol and adrenaline?

    • @manyblessings917

Just a suggestion: look into retraining the mind. Mary Ruddick is a proponent and there are others. Diet is crucial but so are other parts of lifestyle. Getting your body to be in the parasympathetic state rather than the sympathetic state can be controlled by the mind. I am not schooled in this area and am just beginning to scratch the surface. You need to tap into the relaxed body and mind state. All the best to you.
