Your video has inspired me to make this cutting board. Mine is cherry and red oak but I'm doing the boarder with walnut and ash. Thank you for the video.
Beautiful job and display of no-rush, careful woodworking skills. Thank you! I would like to have seen how you might have mitered the ends of the frame pieces. It would be dicy to get all 4-corners aligned and tight but a nice touch.
Beautiful work. Could you glue up the frame pieces all at once? You would have four bundles then glue 2 opposite sides at a time, reducing the time spent.
Hi I know this is a long time ago but I just seen it and had a question, What was the purpose of the second cutting into strips when it was already flipped up to end grain? What does that do? Thank you.
@@sumandl Thank you so much, So to understand, once cut and flipped to end grain, glue it up them crosscut it again arrange pattern and glue up? Again thanks.
Do you have any worries about shrinking and expanding of the different woods. Ive been concerned about combining wood especially with a boarder of different wood in a cutting board because of this. Absolutely beautiful final product!.
This cutting board is daily used at the place i work and it is still in the same shape. It will be ok if you use kilndried wood and oriented it the right wat at the glue up. I made hundrets of boards like this in the past. Thank you so much for stopping by!
Another awesomely beautiful cutting board Franc! By the way did you find out about how to get that glue here in the United States? Find out if they like to be sponsored by me in the United States I'm just saying I love that glue!
Nice Cutting Board AGAIN!!! 12/18. You are a great woodworker and i love the projects that you do, but there is only so much cutting board videos i can take, please make something different??? Barry (ENG)
I think the board you made is beautiful however when you don't give any measurements it tells me that you want people to see what you can do but you don't want them to be able to make it.
Get the P.E.C. combination squares which i use in my shop ant TayTools - lddy.no/sbgq

Nyce work Jimmy Krack Korn.
Really sweet board.
This looks like more of a show piece than a cutting board
Super tolles Brett geworden👍👍👏
I wonder if you could tell us what the measurements are for all the cuts for this beautiful board?
sure! It's about 13'x11' . And the frame is 11/4 ' /1/2' / 1/4'
Beautiful
Is the walnut and maple insert frame all end grain too? Lovely work.
Yes every board or frame should be endgrain. That way it will not crack or move
Beautiful work. Could you glue up the frame pieces all at once? You would have four bundles then glue 2 opposite sides at a time, reducing the time spent.
What is the tool you're using at 9:23 into the video?
It's the makita 5 inch oscilating sander
It looks very solid, yet comfortable to use. I'll have to keep that in mind.
Your opening is from Stumpy Nubs, isn't it?
no we used to have the same creator for our intro 🫶
I've never heard of Mekol glue. Why use that over something like Elmer's Wood Glue Max or Titebond 3?
Mayday's Custom Woodworks Because i live in Europe and it's more common here then titebond 🤘🏼
@@sumandl ah! Makes sense to me. Thanks for the response. Great job on the cutting board. It looks great
Hi I know this is a long time ago but I just seen it and had a question, What was the purpose of the second cutting into strips when it was already flipped up to end grain? What does that do? Thank you.
You get a nicer pattern and the board is much stronger... That way it will not crack so fast
@@sumandl Thank you so much, So to understand, once cut and flipped to end grain, glue it up them crosscut it again arrange pattern and glue up? Again thanks.
No way I would hack a piece of onion on that thing! I’d hang that beauty on my wall.
❤️Appreciate it Sir

@@sumandl Awesome, I just finished the second gluing on my first end grain. Plane, sand, and oil it up tonight :)
Stevie Builds Awesome!
Franc I’m starting to feel bad I don’t use Mekol Glue mate lol, another superb build my friend 👍👍👍
what does the vodka do??

Now I covet an edge sander.

Did you steal your intro animation from Stumpy Nubs?
no i talked to him at the Atlanta woodworking show and we had the same intro developer 😄
It looks like a bacon cake!
I wont subscribe till you tell me how mich you got out of it. 😊
I think the board you made is beautiful however when you don't give any measurements it tells me that you want people to see what you can do but you don't want them to be able to make it.
This is an unbelievably pessimistic victim mentality
All you need is the process ... make it whatever size you want! 👍
