    Can i use chicken, tq

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Hafizah cheong Abdullah, thank you for the question 😄 Yes, chicken can be used instead. I would suggest to use kampung/ free-range chicken, to braise for 1 hour. If the normal chicken is used, the braising time would be around 45 minutes. Hope it helps 😄

    Can I know which brand of cooking wine is the best for Chinese cooking?

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Inderjit Singh, thank you for the question 😄 So far, my preferred cooking wine is the (Single) Golden Pagoda brand. This is what it looks like: bit.ly/33IflgX. It is slightly expensive than other brands, but really worth the price :)

    When did you put salt

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  4 роки тому +2

      Hi peter anthony, thanks for the question 😄 For this recipe, salt is not needed as all the sauces will impart a salty and umami taste to the dish 😄

    Hi Somjit, can I replace pork belly with chicken n cook the same method for this round? Please advice. Tq

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  3 роки тому

      Hi Janice Khoo, Yes sure you can. However cooking time for chicken will be less or about 40 to 45 minutes as chicken cook to soft faster than pork. I hope it helps. Thank you for trying the recipe. Please share with us how it turns out😀
