Immersive Sims are far above AC, specially when it come to environmental storytelling, interactions and player freedom. Here's a few other recommendations: -Deus Ex (1, Human Revolution and Mankind Divided). Pure excellence from top to bottom. In HM, you can even defeat bosses without using a weapon yourself. -Thief: another Immersive Sim Godfather. It's pretty old but you can try The Dark Mod, which is a platform for fanmade missions with a good level of polish. -Prey: you're an "engineer" working on a space station shock full of creatures. How you deal with situations and what tools you use is up to you. -Dishonores 2. While I think the 1st game has an overall better story, the 2nd game outshines its predecessor in everything else. The freedom of movement, flexible tooks and level design is above almost anything on the market. Not an Immersive Sim, but has certain elements of it: Hitman World of Assassination. That game uses social stealth and emergent gameplay much better than any Ubisoft game.
This game is by far one of the best Immersive Games ever made. This game made my highschool even a little bit better (I was a loner back in highschool)
I've been a long standing fan of Dishonored, watched my dad play it when I was like 6 or 7 and then bought the games myself and played all of them within a week, ended up crying after I finished them, only games that have ever made me cry. I will forever recommend them to people I know, the brilliant world building, art style, gameplay and level design are all things people should get to experience. It's really cool to see people still getting into the games so many years later
Glad you enjoyed Dishonored. Since you say you've only played it once, I thoroughly recommend playing through at least one or two more times. You dont even have to play for a different ending, honestly, just do everything differently. On my second playthrough I was blown away by all the different ways you can accomplish your task. For example, theres some fun to be had in the steam room during the Pendleton brothers mission if one of them happens to be there. Theres also non-lethal ways to get rid of every target in the game, if you didnt gather that already. Final recommendation: play Dishonored 2. Its not quite as good but if you enjoyed Dishonored 1 youll definitely enjoy Dishonored 2.

Well, I am glad you addressed the timing of this video, cause my first thought when seeing the title was "way to be 12 years late to that party". For another fun Arkane Studios experience, I recommend "Sir Deathboot Kicksalot's Adventure in the Land of Conveniently Placed Spikes"... Better known as "Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
@@TheSpaniardAssassin Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is the studio's second game, set in the same world as the Might and Magic games after Ubisoft acquired the series (which means Might and Magic X, as well as Heroes of Might and Magic 5, 6, and 7) It is a game were you start off really underpowered, and have to scrape out victories early, but you become a MONSTER by endgame, regardless if you specialize in straight up fighting, in stealth and archery, or with magic. It even has the Adrenaline mechanic Dishonored has as an unlocked, though here it will also buff your spells (like having Telekinesis pick up enemies as opposed to just objects, or having a partial freeze reduce a target to a deepfrozen statue) Hell, I just checked, and it is on a 75% sale. I have great timing.
Finished dishonored 1, 2 and all of it's dlcs at least like 12 times, truly a timeless masterpiece, each and every playthrough is completely unique, you just need to put your mind to it
you should play the mark of the ninja. It's a great stealthy game that rewards the player for behaving as a gust of wind that passes through the area without being noticed and gives points when the player hides the bodies of hos victims instead of leaving them out in the open for all to see. It's 2d, but i think when it comes to stealth games, it is a hidden gem that should receive more attention.
For me, it was the opposite. I got into Dishonored in 2012 and fell in love with it immediately. The story, level design, and more were so in depth for a time I kept replaying to see what else I could learn. Then Arkane (studio behind Dishonored) made Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider (highly recommend!) which expands the franchises lore and world building. After playing the series so many times a friend recommended AC to me since I like the stealthy games and I gave it a shot and got those same feelings. Dishonored and AC franchises hold a special place for me and I hope they make another entry in the Dishonored series!
No other game has been as oddly addictive for me as Dishonored, really. Its steampunk style, its immersiveness, and the amount of freedom it gives you allows for near endless possibilities. It's like The Elder Scrolls games, but its world is smaller and thus feels less overwhelming. To all those who haven't tried it, try it and don't rush the process. Read the letters and books, eavesdrop on conversations, and do not always be on the move. This game feels better when you take a moment and roam around, take a look at the posters, or ponder about the meaning of the wall writings you run into. You'll never be able to experience it for the first time, and chances are, you will wish you were after you've played it through.
"Spaniard is never late, everyone is just too early" I sincerely apologize for playing this game early. And I'm so glad you enjoyed dishonored. It'd be cool to see a stealth video on it, just saying.

I haven't played Dishonored yet but I have played Thief 1, 2 and 3. Those are older games that will need some patching to get them to run properly, but I would still recommend them to anyone that loves AC or the Dishonored games. The hide in shadows mechanics, the level design, the immersive lore and the badass protagonist, all the things for which many people love Dishonored are in those games. Thief 1&2 also have one of the most realistic sword combat systems in any game, and this is long before Kingdom Come came out....
I love Dishonored a childhood game I still enjoy getting lost in the world and I’m truly sad the studio was shut down especially after learning they were working on the 3rd game this series means so much to me and a lot of others if you haven’t played it I implore you give it a chance
Definitely a great time to reinstate my recommendation of Splinter Cell Blacklist! especially if similar experiences is what you're looking for also great video! added dishonoured to my games to play list
I love Dishonored Franchise so fucking much and I guess the first game will always be my favorite. Just a quick recommendation tho, I suggest playing the franchise with mouse and keyboard for a better experience since they are first person games. I believe first person is a right on the point choice for the game but if you play with a controller, your moves get sloppy and you're probably missing a lot more fun due to the lack of mobility. Mouse and keyboard provide agility and I believe the true feeling of being an assassin comes with both stealth gameplay and agility. Happy to see people enjoy my favourite game lmao
I didn't expect you to make a video about Dishonored but you don't know how glad I am that you did, another thing I love about these 2 games is the replayability because of the decisions you can make and yes you definitely brought back memories so I'm going to try ghosting on this game again to see if it was really hard or just that my skills were bad back then, I recommend you to play the second one I think you might like it.
Congratulations on getting acquainted with Immersive Sims, your reaction to the classics in the form of original Thieves is also interesting, despite their age, these are probably still the best stealth games, especially if you like the "Ghosting" style. But it is advisable to install "TFix" and "T2Fix" - fan patches for them. Because I decided to run through them myself after passing Dishonored without skills and killing, as well as Arkane, while developing the game, were strongly inspired by the original thief games and allowed to play in a similar style.

While D2 does not have as strong of a story, I still do recommend it for the gameplay. Give me the stealth and combat of Dishonored combined with the parkour of Mirror's Edge, and that would be my dream AC game. Maybe remove the permanent unconsciousness from choking people out so there's actually a reason to kill rather than knocking unconscious beyond watching the gory animations.
I'd argue its less about the perspective through which we percieve the gameplay but the gameplay itself- (Allthough I am going by the title only, not the actual video) -yes AC would always have been better off if it had further went into the imsim direction. Linear Story, high character customization (base, protagonist outfit etc) and an action oriented imsim gameplay with a more refined parkour system, inspired by the original system, would be gold.
It was the opposite for me I preferred 1st over 3rd person coz I loved CoD & other FPS games and even though I knew a lot about AC, I played Dishonored before any AC game (for reasons too long to expound upon) and I fell in love with it instantly... The lore and world building, the chaos system, the music oh lord the music... Drunken Whaler and Honor for all r some of my favourite game OSTs of all time P.S. The DLC where u play from Daud's POV is so effin good
Although this doesn't scratch the assassin itch, Dying Light has a lot of similarities to AC as well and would recommend, even the setting in the first one is based on Turkey so I kind of think of it as a sequel to Revelations in my head, but also there are gameplay similarities, like instead of haystacks at the bottom of tall heights there are heaps of garbage you can safely land on, the combat kinda reminds me of the combat in the first Assassin's Creed but if it was polished and expanded, and although it isn't assassin stealth there is horror type stealth at night time. Honestly I would really love a first person Assassin's Creed that has the parkour and combat of Dying Light but add the stealth and social stealth parts of AC Other games to play are Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, the parkour isn't as good as most ac games and the world design doesn't really serve parkour anyway, but the combat is arguably better than most and perhaps all of the AC games and the nemesis system is really cool of course and honestly feels like a mechanic that should have been implemented in the AC games already Okay one last game, Ancestors, it came out in 2019 and was made by the director of Prince of Persia Sands of Time the first AC game and the Ezio trilogy, it is a really cool game where you play through early human prehistory but it's also in a lot of ways essentially the prequel to all of the AC games, it is a lower budget game so the graphics and animations might not be what you're used to with other games but it's a really underrated game nonetheless and I recommend giving it a try
Okay I lied, a few more games, if you haven't played them already, the first three Arkham games, the traversal isn't as interesting in these games as it is in AC but the worlds they occupy are rich with detail and gothic vibes that kinda feel like a twisted modern version of the gothic aesthetics we explore in some of the other AC games like Unity and Syndicate, the combat and stealth is great of course, detective stuff isn't super deep but it's fun, and just as a cool bonus when Batman was originally created in 1939 his wings were actually inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci's flying machine concept, and the same year that ACII came out where you fly Leonardo's flying machine, Batman Arkham Asylum came out and happened to be heavily inspired by the first Assassin's Creed, so you can sort of think of Batman as a modern day AC game if you want. Honestly wish the Batman games took a little more from AC even if it would come off as derivative, like I wish I could parkour and scale buildings, I wish I could get chased by the police, maybe even hiding spots to get away, it'd be more fun to be able to grab and throw enemies instead of having that lame cape stun, and I wish Gotham had lots of various npcs roaming around that you can interact with in a variety of ways
You should really try shadow of Mordor an shadow of war you feel so powerful an the parkour is pretty good but in shadow of war that’s where they improve everything the parkour your super speed the powers you get I’m telling you if you give it a chance like I did you will be like this game is a gem
@@TheSpaniardAssassin My personal favourite is Dishonored 2 the sequel to the first game, just like old AC games, Dishonored 2 has great level/world design where you will stop and admire the details of world design, dishonored 2 does everything better than 1, though I really like 1 story more than 2 but 2 gameplay stands out.!
@@TheSpaniardAssassin There is this one particular level in dishonored 2 called the clockwork mansion. Hands down the best level design I have seen in a video game that's definitely a Rockstar games type of design, the developers actually have a lot of passion on these games

I personally prefer 1st person games, and are fine with 3rd person games, but I do feel more of a immersive experience when it comes to 1st person games. Plus I'm on PC and can really only play 3rd person games with a controller. Mouse and Keyboard on 3rd person games feel off to me. And vise versa with mouse and keyboard and 1st person games
I haven't played it for the same reason and it seems too scary for me(severe anxiety). First person games make me nauseous but i managed to get through Cyberpunk so I'm half considering Dishonored
So late to the party that I literally clicked thinking there was some kind new game out that was similar to Dishonored and someone was making a joke like it's literally Dishonored. And no... It's not literally Dishonored it is fact actually.... literally-literallyyyyyy Dishonored. Fuck.
What you said about first person games is so wrong. Third person sucks, it's like a child playing with action figures, moving your little toy doll around a fake world. First person is clearly more immersive in every way, even mechanically speaking it matches the way humans think and react to their surroundings in a way so realistic it's uncanny. You probably just haven't played the good ones. It's subjective but I think first person is objectively better in many ways. I hate third person games and they have to be really amazing to make me play them. They're better for consoles.
Hey Spaniard idk if you have or not but if not you should absolutely 100 percent play ghost of Tsushima a phenomenal stealth action game with a good story great characters amazing open world please if you haven’t play and if you have then uhhh this was kinda pointless

And the fp parkour is possible too because theres dying light mirrors edge so a first person ac game would be awesome
Give me the stealth and combat of Dishonored combined with the parkour of Mirror's Edge, and that would be my dream AC game. Maybe remove the permanent unconsciousness from choking people out so there's actually a reason to kill rather than knocking unconscious beyond watching the gory animations.
Oh yeah! Apparently a second game coming at some point, it was just announced last week.
I bet its really cool
Do you mean a third because the second game has been out for 8 years
No it wasn't dishonored. It was just the developer of dishonored announced a game.
In hindsight this joke doesn't make sense unless you saw the original title and thumbnail.
I'd argue its less about the perspective through which we percieve the gameplay but the gameplay itself-
(Allthough I am going by the title only, not the actual video)
-yes AC would always have been better off if it had further went into the imsim direction.
Linear Story, high character customization (base, protagonist outfit etc) and an action oriented imsim gameplay with a more refined parkour system, inspired by the original system, would be gold.
Please make more dishonored content though, just found your channel bc I just started modding AC Unity and would love to see more from both games
What mods have you made?!
@@TheSpaniardAssassin naahhh I added mods to my game. I’m super new to this my b
Deus Ex Human Revolution is a nice complementary game to this
Bro I love your videos, you speak very well and clear. Idk it's just always a good vibe. Are you really Spanish? Because your English is perfect
Thanks dude! and yes I am spanish
Drunken Whaler and Honor for all r some of my favourite game OSTs of all time
P.S. The DLC where u play from Daud's POV is so effin good
the soundtrack is another thing i should have mentioned
Playing this on high choas is so fun
Very fun
Although this doesn't scratch the assassin itch, Dying Light has a lot of similarities to AC as well and would recommend, even the setting in the first one is based on Turkey so I kind of think of it as a sequel to Revelations in my head, but also there are gameplay similarities, like instead of haystacks at the bottom of tall heights there are heaps of garbage you can safely land on, the combat kinda reminds me of the combat in the first Assassin's Creed but if it was polished and expanded, and although it isn't assassin stealth there is horror type stealth at night time. Honestly I would really love a first person Assassin's Creed that has the parkour and combat of Dying Light but add the stealth and social stealth parts of AC
Other games to play are Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, the parkour isn't as good as most ac games and the world design doesn't really serve parkour anyway, but the combat is arguably better than most and perhaps all of the AC games and the nemesis system is really cool of course and honestly feels like a mechanic that should have been implemented in the AC games already
Okay one last game, Ancestors, it came out in 2019 and was made by the director of Prince of Persia Sands of Time the first AC game and the Ezio trilogy, it is a really cool game where you play through early human prehistory but it's also in a lot of ways essentially the prequel to all of the AC games, it is a lower budget game so the graphics and animations might not be what you're used to with other games but it's a really underrated game nonetheless and I recommend giving it a try
Everyone is simply early
Fire

@@TheSpaniardAssassin fire
Like that's a good line ya know
shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight
I think we shall
Started it yesterday, still in prologe.. Seems promising honestly
Have fun!
Man I've been meaning to ask for a while now, are you truly from Spain? Love your content, such a refreshing adition to the comunity
Yes I am!
assassins creed if they were actual good stealth games
lmao
@@TheSpaniardAssassin es broma bro me molan bastante pero vaya joyas los dishonored 1 y 2, pocos juegos me han hecho disfrutar tanto
I am a huge fan of dishonored series. Stuff you could do there is almost limitless. Very good games, especially first one.
Couldn't agree more!
I haven't played dishonored because my laptop can't handle it XP
I have every game platinum. Im addicted
perfect
Dishonored 🐐
You should really try shadow of Mordor an shadow of war you feel so powerful an the parkour is pretty good but in shadow of war that’s where they improve everything the parkour your super speed the powers you get I’m telling you if you give it a chance like I did you will be like this game is a gem
I’ll give it a shot!
Dude you gotta play dishonored 1, dishonored 2 and deathloop. It gives you Assassin fantasy just like how old AC did
Gotta do it
@@TheSpaniardAssassin My personal favourite is Dishonored 2 the sequel to the first game, just like old AC games, Dishonored 2 has great level/world design where you will stop and admire the details of world design, dishonored 2 does everything better than 1, though I really like 1 story more than 2 but 2 gameplay stands out.!
@@TheSpaniardAssassin There is this one particular level in dishonored 2 called the clockwork mansion. Hands down the best level design I have seen in a video game that's definitely a Rockstar games type of design, the developers actually have a lot of passion on these games
Hi guys I think you should check out Dishonored
I agree with you bro
Petition for Lore Accurate way to play Ezio Auditore da Firenze
👇🏽 Here
defo gonna happen
@@TheSpaniardAssassin Its ALL a matter of time
havent played it yet looks awesome will try if its a recomendation from you
i hope you enjoy it!
I luckily played both when they launched now it’s impossible for me camera control on controller feels so ass how didn’t I noticed it before 💀
hahaha what
@@TheSpaniardAssassin yeah wanted to get back to this game recently and nope o just can’t feels way to sluggish high deadzone combined with aim acceleration a d other stuff probably makes it for me feel ass
i also played it last month lol great game
Its so cool
@@TheSpaniardAssassin yeah even though i thought i would hate it just cuz 1st person🤦♂
Dishonored is so much better and more creative than AC it's not even close
I agree tbh
I personally prefer 1st person games, and are fine with 3rd person games, but I do feel more of a immersive experience when it comes to 1st person games. Plus I'm on PC and can really only play 3rd person games with a controller. Mouse and Keyboard on 3rd person games feel off to me. And vise versa with mouse and keyboard and 1st person games
Bro ac in 1st person could be game changer
That would slap
There is a first person mode in tge ezio collection if im not wrong
I haven't played it for the same reason and it seems too scary for me(severe anxiety). First person games make me nauseous but i managed to get through Cyberpunk so I'm half considering Dishonored
hahah yeah but you'll like it trust me
Respectfully comparing this master piece to the assassin's creed is disrespect to gamming itself this game changed the way i see games
This game was too difficult for me
Which part?
You will play this game over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Trust me
I forsee that
Deathloop is another great game by them though i feel it's too short
never played it
@@TheSpaniardAssassin might be into it, though it's more of a shooter
Always loved Dishonored and never heard of the anti first person thing lol
maybe it just me
@@TheSpaniardAssassin Potentially 👀
So late to the party that I literally clicked thinking there was some kind new game out that was similar to Dishonored and someone was making a joke like it's literally Dishonored. And no... It's not literally Dishonored it is fact actually.... literally-literallyyyyyy Dishonored. Fuck.
Hahahaha
What you said about first person games is so wrong. Third person sucks, it's like a child playing with action figures, moving your little toy doll around a fake world. First person is clearly more immersive in every way, even mechanically speaking it matches the way humans think and react to their surroundings in a way so realistic it's uncanny. You probably just haven't played the good ones. It's subjective but I think first person is objectively better in many ways. I hate third person games and they have to be really amazing to make me play them. They're better for consoles.
U should try dying light 1
Wait... there are... other games?
I thought there was only COD, Fortnite, and Roblox.
Ikr?
You should check out batman arkham games.
I really should
so are both dishonored games worth?
I think so
The whole series is great, even the DLCs.
Try out shadow of mordor
I shall indeed
Hey Spaniard idk if you have or not but if not you should absolutely 100 percent play ghost of Tsushima a phenomenal stealth action game with a good story great characters amazing open world please if you haven’t play and if you have then uhhh this was kinda pointless
I hate FP games. And I hate games with no damn character creation. If Hogwarts Legacy could do it, nobody else should have any excuse why they can’t
There will still be some idiot that claims valhalla or odyssey is better
