Sandra, I’m a 71 year old widow. I am not a Christian and I don’t see anything wrong with a widow, or a widower getting married again. My husband has been gone eight years and I have no desire to date, but I’m comfortable with that, not all women and men are comfortable living alone. I’ve been watching your channel before you met Bill because I enjoy your content and I’m happy for you and Bill. I have no family, no children my mother and father are both gone and my brother died at 34 and he had no children so I am the only one left and that’s just life. One day you’re up, one day you’re down. You can’t sit around and feel sorry for yourself. You do have to go on with life you can choose to be bitter or you can choose to be happy. I don’t sit around and cry.
You are never truly alone. Many folks are in a similar situation (I'm also almost 71, have a small extended family I see only now and then, etc.) But some of us were blessed with the gift of a sort of self-sufficient ability to enjoy life without a lot of social input. It's an inner strength. Takes all kinds to make this amazing world! 😉
I also lost my wonderful husband, I nursed him to the end. I have remarried to a great husband almost nine years and now I am helping him through dementia, the lord only gives us what he knows we can do, blessings.

Keep being true to yourself. You are never going to make everyone happy all the time. I’m 75 and I can’t believe how terrible people can be. It must be because they can hid behind a keyboard. My spouse of 58 years was diagnosed this year with vascular dementia. We are in the fourth year. No one knows unless they have walked in your shoes what you went through. Thank you for sharing your life with us you will never know how much you are appreciated. You are such an encourager.

Hi Sandra, I appreciate your stories and your honesty. You tell it how it is. I just spent 34 days in the hospital. I went in for back surgery and with that the surgeon found a ligament attached to my spinal sac. The surgeon told me later that if that had not been found it would have drained the fluid from my brain. I call that Divine Intervention. Then I had a bowel obstruction and had to have bowel obstruction surgery. I’m at home now walking with a cane recuperating and taking one day at a time. Thanks for the video. Kindness, Teresa

There is no timeline on grief, but especially in your case you grieved the loss of Larry long before he died as you say he died a day at a time with Alzheimers. No one has the right to judge you, God is our only judge and He knows our hearts better than anyone. How wonderful you and Bill can talk openly about Larry and Annie. After 41 years of marriage, I grieved two years, deep painful grieving when my husband died. Then I said to myself, look at how he treated you. The grieving stopped... Two things I realized, he was a narcissist and had a psychological affair on me. All I can say is, "Life is a Gift, not to Waste". I wish I would have left sooner... Unlike you, I did not pine for another man, but I can see that was a need that you personally needed. You and Bill seem to be a perfect match and I'm happy for you two. ❤

Sandra, it is so hard to understand why so many people are downright mean spirited these days. You are the sweetest most carrying woman of God and I appreciate all of your videos. I have a different kind of situation. I have been in my second marriage for 29 years. In my first marriage we were married for 19 years and had 3 children. But, my ex husband and I remained very good friends until he went to be with the Lord 2 years ago. He and my husband were very good friends. Very thankful to the Lord because that made it so nice for our children. When my ex husband passed away from Covid, it was sudden and shocking. Knowing he went to be with Jesus has made all the difference. My current husband has always been so supportive and he misses my ex husband very much. We all do. Like you said, it is our hope in Christ that gets us through it all. I have been grieving my ex husband more than I ever thought I would. I miss him very much. I am thankful knowing he and our son are home with Jesus. Sandra, you are such an encouragement. I am very thankful that you are there to lift up the Lord and I appreciate you so much. I am so thankful that even though people can be a disappointment in this life, we are all flawed. No perfect Church, no perfect family, But, we have a perfect Father and I am so grateful. I lost my husband 2 years ago and I am still grieving. Getting out of my house has been difficult since I was a stay at home mom. My mom also went with the Lord a month after my husband so it’s like a double-heartbreak for me. I’m happy for you moving on with your life. I agree, it was a great analogy. People that don’t understand don’t need to honey. When my little dog died, our house was dead energy. I missed having my little girl barking and cuddling and taking her out. After a couple of months we went and got another dog. And I understand some people need companionship, nobody needs to judge. You are right, life is too short. Especially when you have more road behind you, than you do ahead of you…..at a certain age, you just have get over it! And go on living ❤ you know who you have to please…yourself and God honey. ❤

Tou are so spot on with what you've said. You are a Christian woman who would never go against God. He knew you needed companionship as did Bill he got you two together. It's as tou said Larry and your marriage as it was because of alzheimers was no more. You had that 3 years of grieving plus the 6 months after his death. I'm happy you found a good man and can enjoy your older age. Being a widow for 6 years now I havent had the opportunity to meet someone. I lost my son 2 years ago whom I had lived with. 3 months after him my brother and two and a half months after my brother my mother who had dementia she missed her 94th birthday by a month. God has been the only one I can turn to. So you continue being you no one has the right to be mean it's none of their business. I love your videos and shorts. It gives me inspiration that happiness is pissible.

Hi Sandra, I appreciate your stories and your honesty. You tell it how it is. I just spent 34 days in the hospital. I went in for back surgery and with that the surgeon found a ligament attached to my spinal sac. The surgeon told me later that if that had not been found it would have drained the fluid from my brain. I call that Divine Intervention. Then I had a bowel obstruction and had to have bowel obstruction surgery. I’m at home now walking with a cane recuperating and taking one day at a time. Thanks for the video. Kindness, Teresa

There is no timeline on grief, but especially in your case you grieved the loss of Larry long before he died as you say he died a day at a time with Alzheimers. No one has the right to judge you, God is our only judge and He knows our hearts better than anyone. How wonderful you and Bill can talk openly about Larry and Annie. After 41 years of marriage, I grieved two years, deep painful grieving when my husband died. Then I said to myself, look at how he treated you. The grieving stopped... Two things I realized, he was a narcissist and had a psychological affair on me. All I can say is, "Life is a Gift, not to Waste". I wish I would have left sooner... Unlike you, I did not pine for another man, but I can see that was a need that you personally needed. You and Bill seem to be a perfect match and I'm happy for you two. ❤

Sandra, it is so hard to understand why so many people are downright mean spirited these days. You are the sweetest most carrying woman of God and I appreciate all of your videos. I have a different kind of situation. I have been in my second marriage for 29 years. In my first marriage we were married for 19 years and had 3 children. But, my ex husband and I remained very good friends until he went to be with the Lord 2 years ago. He and my husband were very good friends. Very thankful to the Lord because that made it so nice for our children. When my ex husband passed away from Covid, it was sudden and shocking. Knowing he went to be with Jesus has made all the difference. My current husband has always been so supportive and he misses my ex husband very much. We all do. Like you said, it is our hope in Christ that gets us through it all. I have been grieving my ex husband more than I ever thought I would. I miss him very much. I am thankful knowing he and our son are home with Jesus. Sandra, you are such an encouragement. I am very thankful that you are there to lift up the Lord and I appreciate you so much. I am so thankful that even though people can be a disappointment in this life, we are all flawed. No perfect Church, no perfect family, But, we have a perfect Father and I am so grateful. I lost my husband 2 years ago and I am still grieving. Getting out of my house has been difficult since I was a stay at home mom. My mom also went with the Lord a month after my husband so it’s like a double-heartbreak for me.

I agree, it was a great analogy. People that don’t understand don’t need to honey. When my little dog died, our house was dead energy. I missed having my little girl barking and cuddling and taking her out. After a couple of months we went and got another dog. And I understand some people need companionship, nobody needs to judge. You are right, life is too short. Especially when you have more road behind you, than you do ahead of you…..at a certain age, you just have get over it! And go on living ❤ you know who you have to please…yourself and God honey. ❤

Tou are so spot on with what you've said. You are a Christian woman who would never go against God. He knew you needed companionship as did Bill he got you two together. It's as tou said Larry and your marriage as it was because of alzheimers was no more. You had that 3 years of grieving plus the 6 months after his death. I'm happy you found a good man and can enjoy your older age. Being a widow for 6 years now I havent had the opportunity to meet someone. I lost my son 2 years ago whom I had lived with. 3 months after him my brother and two and a half months after my brother my mother who had dementia she missed her 94th birthday by a month. God has been the only one I can turn to. So you continue being you no one has the right to be mean it's none of their business. I love your videos and shorts. It gives me inspiration that happiness is pissible.
