Storms out?????
Storms out!!!crawls out more like it
Well mate, if you were driving you would probably put her into a very nasty slip and totally mess everything up for everyone concerned - what we saw there there was a very delicate control of the regulator by an experienced and competent driver - I'd like to see you do better !
@@BernieHollandMusic A slip is not the end of the world - a good driver can control it instantly. There must be other reasons for this very easy-going departure. There's quite a gradient coming up and the driver will simply have to give the loco some welly. Maybe he just thought there was no need to hammer it until on the gradient.
Earl of Mount Edgecombe breezes out of Marylebone!
Remember these beauties as a lad in Paddington Stn, in the late 80s i worked with an ex GWR fireman, he said what hard work it was, and how he hated working with some drivers as the rinsed through the coal.
bmwnasher awesome... my dad was a fireman on castles out of Canton shed Cardiff hauling freight to Paddington in the 50s...
Not sure about that Hawksworth tender though, flush sided, I prefer the flared and riveted tender
Great video she always seems to put on a performance. What fantastic condition she looks in as well.
I'm LNER region myself, but there's just something about GWR locomotives....
