    That interstate sign should've had a Guardrail around it, or some sort of crash cushioning device. The AASHTO Roadside Design Guide covers how to prevent this type of accident on Chapter 5: Roadside Barriers, so there's no excuse why there wasn't.. Apparently someone either didn't read it or didn't care and I hope a lawsuit is filed. You'd never see that type of hazard so exposed in Virginia on VDOT maintained roads.

    What caused the initial accident? Looks to me like that almost blind turn after the bridge is an accident waiting to happen as people slow suddenly to make the turn.

    Reading all the goddamn signs this guy crashed because he was distracted with sign's!
