To be fair, I suppose, especially Kanami, wrote a lot of songs before, Alone was just the first to get accepted by the record company to be put on an album.
Don't overlook the fact Miku's voice and Saiki's mesh SO well together. This whole story is insane anyhow. Miku talks mgmt into a maid- outfitted band. Finds Kanami first off, this little genius composer who shreds like well like Mincho. Of course. Then Kanami brings in Akane, one of the best drummers in the world. Of course she did. Then Akane brings in Mias, who just happens to be one of the best bassists in the world. Of course this is how things always happen right? But then Miku decides she can't provide all the vocals needed so let's get another singer. And they find Saiki, who is not only one of the best rock singers in the world , but also meshes with Miku voice so well their harmonies are angelic. Of course they are, of course. And when it all comes together, they form the VERY BEST band in the world today. Of course.
Maidiac for a little while and this is the first time I’ve seen this video! Thanks for sharing the Maids with your subscribers. I actually like it better than the other official one because it highlights the musicianship more. I’ve also been a bassist since 1980, and I’m ashamed to say I was never a fan of bass solos. My old saying used to be, “Bass solos are like fat girlfriends. Fun to play at home, but not in public.” Thankfully, before I got too old, MISA has completely changed my perspective. She brings the bass forward like very few players I know. 🤘🏽
Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), up against Kanami's up-tempo, complex yet rockin' music is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles! Thx, Ana!
What is absolutely fantastic in this song is the harmonizing between Saiki and Miku - their voices blend together to form an incredible, mesmerizing completeness. As great as the musicianship is in the band, the harmonizing is next level, God tier.
Totally agree with you, Anastasia on the "lusciousness" for Saiki's lower register. She can be powerful down there, seductive, whatever she wants. And I know you like the growls and attitude, and she does do that live quite a bit. This band is so great at so many things it boggles the mind.
BAND-MAID sigh, perfection, perfection, luscious perfection. What a fcken band Po, thanks for that, now I reckon it's time for a beer and more BAND -MAID 👍🍻
This was the second thing I saw after "Thrill", and it was game over for me. I spent the next several months bingeing everything by them I could find, as well as learning about dozens of other japanese bands. Still haven't heard a guitar solo as sweet as this one, ever.
Hi! Can you listen and react to Chainsaws In Paradise by Luke Black? You love metal and I sure you will like this sing. The song is phenomenal and performance very energetic! PZE24: Luke Black-Chainsaws in Paradise. Please, listen and react!😊
Nice reaction Anastasia, as always. I feel your pain about the tickets. I've seen them three times live, on 10/28 and 10/30/2022 in NYC and New Jersey and then this past May of 2023. Even in 2022 it was tough to even get tickets. I was in the waiting room for buying tickets online for 3 hours before the curtain went up and it immediately said the tickets were sold out. I ended up going to a site called Ticket Fairy and got general admission for me and my son at Irving Plaza for $350. Then when I was at the concert I ran into someone I knew that had tickets for the Sunday night show in Secaucus and got two for $75 each. The 2023 show in Charlotte, NC was a bit better, got a ticket for $90. You really have to see them live, it's just not a show, it's an experience. I hadn't had so much fun at a gig since I saw Blood, Sweat and Tears and The Young Rascals in NYC in 1967 and The Doors at the Whiskey A Go Go in LA in 1968. That's how good they are. And I plan to go to Japan at the end of the year as my first bucket list trip. Don't give up hope.
Woah, I am a huge Band-Maid fan and I have never seen this video before! Dang. First time getting goosebumps with the solo. Thanks for the reaction... if you have not seen the latest live version of Hate? check it out!
By now, you've probably heard that the Maids invited The Warning to come play with them in Japan, in June. Can you IMAGINE if they then reverse that with a TOUR over here? Hahaha! Rock on, Anastasia! 🤘😎👍
Imagine finding Thrill when it was first released, as I did, and then having to wait for new material instead of being able to binge like fans do now...
Talking about low notes, it is worth seeking out the Lollapalooza performance of this song just for the low note Saiki does right towards the end of the song. It's wonderful.
I recommend listening to new Luke Black song Chainsaws in Paradise. He's a great independent artist and has released this new new song few days ago in mix of pop industrial metal genre. Song is literal 🔥 Reaction would be appreciated and if you do it I recommend reaction on clip PZE24: Luke Black - Chainsaws in Paradise because it's the best vibe 🔥🔥🔥
If you like bass so much, so should maybe really checkout Renaissance, a band that had their high time in the 70s with a unique mix of classical, folk, prog rock with a great female lead vocalist. They did however absolute no metal, but i still often think that they maybe have influenced the whole symphonic metal genre. And they also always had a very strong bass. Renaissance - Ocean Gypsy (BBC Sight & Sound 1977) ua-cam.com/video/0CBShoN2bhA/v-deo.html
They only signed up with Live Nation in 2022. I think they should be booked in 2000 to 3000 seat venues. For a special concert, back in Japan, they showed they can do a 10,000 seater. But on a regular basis? NO.
@@DAVID-io9nj TOO BAD AMERICANS HAVEN'T CAUGHT ON TO WORLD ROCK AND METAL. GREAT REACTORS LIKE ANASTASIA ARE SPREADING THE WORD. I DO WONDER ABOUT THE TICKET RESALE PROFITS. This is Saiki-san pre-polyps removal surgery. You can kinda tell her voice was getting worse. Although, that rasp was indeed scrumptious. That's why the Yokohama 2023 concert was amazing; it was Saiki-san at her vocal projection best. :)
They've never done a bad song. Some may be better than others, but never bad. And this one is friggin awesome! Loved it from first listen.
BM Fact: This is the first song that Band-Maid wrote themselves. This was a major turning point for these talented ladies 😁
To be fair, I suppose, especially Kanami, wrote a lot of songs before, Alone was just the first to get accepted by the record company to be put on an album.

*first song they wrote that the label thought was good enough to release.
In fact she wrote Yolo before Band-Maid.
I seems like Miku rarely gets any love from reactors. She has a beautiful voice too.

Kanami’ solo always touches my heart.
Kanami is the best!!!
I understand that you dream of Saiki as your wife😉... But then, you have to line up behind Kanami.😆
By now, you've probably heard that the Maids invited The Warning to come play with them in Japan, in June. Can you IMAGINE if they then reverse that with a TOUR over here? Hahaha! Rock on, Anastasia! 🤘😎👍
Cool guitar solo‼️🎸🎸🎸⚡️

This may be my favorite Band-Maid song. Saiki crushes it.
Definitely watch for the next tour, it will sell out fast!
Great to see you rocking' this. Saiki could be any body's wife- so stylish in everything she is yet restrained.
Akane is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. She found her place early.
Anastasia, Saiki and Miku are Asian beauties and you're a Slavic beauty. I sincerely hope you can find a band as a vehicle for you to shine naturally.
Another awesome video from the legendary anastasia luna she a rock singer
oh the alternate MV version of “alone”
Thanks so much for sharing of nice MV!

THIA BAND HITS ON ALL CYLLINDERS ALL THE TIME ...LOVE SAIKI ❤
I never seen this alone mv before. Honestly, i love this mv than BM original mv
Karaoke video version.
I've never see this version. Thanks! But don't let Kanami hear you say Saiki is your wife! Mincho gets very jealous if anyone else get too close.
Better not let minchozilla hear you talk like that even though she is a humble genius she might have to challenge that be well great reaction
Why does most other rock or metal band feature more of the bass in their music? 🤔
Because they don't have a *MISA, MISA, MISA* 🤣
Hi Anastasia. Love all the members of the band but Miku is a ray of sunshine from the inside to the outside

Yes. That's song is pure fire.
Luke Black is amazing artist! I love his new genre of music.Would be great to see a reaction to his new song .😊
I second this. Luke is magical. 🔥🎶
Great suggestion, love this song :)
Yes, both song and performance are soooo good
👍👍Excellent.🔥🔥 🖖❤
More good bass solos would be great, but unfortunately not every band has a Misa 😁
This the karaoke video version.
Watch a show in Japan and the Japanese fans will take you to Karaoke and you can sing along.😁
I know how you feel about guitars. Watch HATE? live from Yokohama Arena if you haven't already. Guitar, bass rock off.
I believe she did it on a live stream...

Ah, Renaissance indeed. Great progressive folkrock band. My personal favorite is their album Ashes are Burning (1973).
