I am freshly 23 and recently purchased Boucheron and other vintage perfumes. It is lovely, though I do admit the initial spray is a bit much. Once it settles after a minute, it's lovely. The vintage perfumes seem to have more depth and character than my favorites of more recent years.
I have the scent of Boucheron Pour Femme EDT and I love it. It is beautiful, warm, elegant, so cuddly. And it is definitely a unisex scent in my opinion, on women it smells feminine and distinguished,, on guys smells masculin and cosy. Wodnerful!
@@bartoszp900 I never smelled it on man, I am sure it would work! Why would smell have a gender? Art and music is for everyone, but olfactory art is divided. It is so limiting!
Hello Kicki! Happy to have found your channel and I just subscribed. All these perfumes you are showing in this video, I had them in miniature form when I was a child, gifted by my aunts. I cherished them very much. I really love the Safari by Ralph Lauren bottle.
Thank you for commenting and subscribing! These bottles are special and I think they are beautiful in their own way, but can also appreciate modern beautiful simplistic bottles, too.
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 Yes, I really appreciate how well designed, iconic and distinguishable the older bottles were. I love vintage perfumes for their artistry and bottle designs. I have a bottle of Joy by Jean Patou EDT, I don’t think I would wear it out but I just won’t forgot how much I was mesmerised by those floral and animatic notes, it’s something to be enjoyed when I am alone. Encapsulated memories and feelings. :)
Galbanum is very beautiful yes! New perfumes usually don’t contain this note. Jasmin Angelique by Atelier Cologne contains galbanum and I enjoy it very much, but unfortunately, it has been recently discontinued.
I see it in perfumery every now and then, actually. Galbanum. For example, No 19 Poudré has it. And Nightclubbing from Celine. But you are right, it is not a common note.
Great review! I found your video because I was searching for reviews about the Boucheron bottle that Selena Quintanilla used ❤️Just bought the EDP version and your review is spot on! I’m 30 years old and the smell does remind me of the more mature women in my life…I love it after it dries down, but my husband is not a fan 😂
Love your video✨ Oh, you got me thinking of fragrances in my collection that wafts throughout the day… few of them do that and I love how it makes me smile, especially all unexpected and such. I got so interested in fragrances around June 2020 and everything you’ve said on here are things I learned after watching so many UA-cam vids of fragrance enthusiasts. Here, in this one video, you’ve covered so much! Thank you for sharing 🌺✨
Yes you are right about the American singer Selina, her family was originally from Mexico but she was born in America 🇺🇸 Which made her a great bilingual performer. The Hermes perfume was also Princess Diana’s favorite and her trademark for most of her life. Prince William always makes remarks every time someone passes by wearing that…. And your R. L. safari was a favorite for Angelina Jolie’s mother. You had chosen very good fragrances throughout your life 👍👍❤
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 Not tried White Diamonds? Oh my, you're missing out! 2nd-best selling fragrance in the world, behind Chanel no 5. Inducted into the Fragrance Hall of Fame in 2009. I own a bottle & enjoy it on occasion. Very well crafted white floral with warmth & spiciness (see notes), best-suited to cool weather. A one-spray affair, mind you. Very potent. Dated to young noses but a classic for a reason. However, WD is not sweet, so I will soon order Boucheron. To add a touch of sweetness to WD, I layer it with Gloria Vanderbilt with which it shares notes of carnation, orris, cinnamon, & white florals. If you enjoy galbanum, you'll find it in Must de Cartier Gold & Diamonds & Sapphires.
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 You're welcome! One more tip: Diamonds & Sapphires layers stunningly well with Charlie Gold--for added warmth/plushness in cold weather but I enjoy Sapphires alone in heat. Smells like a spiced, tropical rainforest, on the feminine side of unisex. I've also discovered that Arden's iris-centric True Love is excellent for feminizing/softening my unisex orientals, like Cachet Noir & Anne Klein II. True Love is my bedtime scent. I miss the original formula of TL (which I had in the 90s) but the current version is more or less ok. I'm off to the store to return Red Door Aura & Always Red, while wearing Ciara.......
Boucheron, Elizabeth arden red door, Lou Lou (blue one) Joop, Chanel no 5 , Lalique and versus Donna Versace. Those are the ones which makes me so happy and yes boucheron is one of my absolute favorite along with Lou Lou ❤
I dunno why but I have been eyeing Safari .. never smelled that before.. i missed that in one of our discount websites, but I think I can still find that here… I really like Boucheron… luckily I can sample it every once in a while because we have it in some stores 💙
I just ordered Boucheron edt and I must say, in my early years I would have steered clear of it, but man oh man, the dry down is so beautiful!!! It is definitely signature worthy! I'm 45 now and can't imagine not having it in my collection! Will order the edp very soon! And yes, Selena, I love her!!! You must watch the movie!!! I can see why this was her favorite perfume!
Thank you so much ! I really appreciate reviews on vintage perfumes. I want to buy the Boucheron one! Another UA-cam raves about it. What did your daughter think of it?
When something reminds you of your mum or grandmother, it is your initiation into the sophistication of the classics. Eat your cupcakes, do not wear them.
How does the boucheron edt compare to the edp? Is it just strength difference? The edt only is available at my local drugstore so I can't compare. Thanks!

Agree to a certain extent. Depth in a different way. Thanks for commenting!
Try LouLou by Cacharel, it is beautiful. 😍 The first spray might be challenging, but the drydown is amazing.
I've been wearing Boucheron for 40 yrs and I think the word for Boucheron is "Classy".
Agree!

Ahhhh memories! Along with those for me: Cartier Must and Bijan! I wish I had the original formulations of them all…
Thanks for commenting! I just got a mini of vintage Must, it is great.
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 oh wow!! I need to look for one! And the original Bijan
Absolutely love vintage Safari !! Stunning fragrance. Was wearing this beauty in my early 20’s when it first was released. ✨✨♥️
Might have to track down an older bottle. Thank you for sharing.
I LOVE both the Boucheron EDT and EDP, and 24 Faubourg is fantastic too!

Boucheron and 24 Faubourg are two of my alltime favs 🥰 they're no grandma fragrances at all.
A really nice heartfelt review. Bravo.
Thank you😀

How interesting! I thought Princess Diana's favorite perfumes came from Houbigant, but maybe that was just her wedding day scent.
I have Boucheron edp. I describe it as a sweeter version of white diamonds.
Aha, have not tried White Diamonds.

I bought a small 5ml vintage Boucheron this summer. The drydown is so gorgeous, that I placed an order for a big bottle just this weekend.
Great! I find that a lot of the older style perfumes have a challenging and overly "perfumy" opening but beautiful drydowns.
@@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 It is so true. Some are terrifying but after some minuts, or rather after half an hour they become heavenly.

I have forgotten to ask her! Will try to do it ASAP. I don't think she would wear it. She loves Lys 41 and I am trash.
My sister in law just gave me hers and I love Boucheron!
