Thank's Jim. Splash Paint is very easy to work with.
I have been doing some spoon tests, to see how different primers, paints and clears play together. Some results have been very surprising! Glad I learned this tip before ruining another car body paintjob. 😎👍
I do the same thing. Especially when I'm wanting a candy effect.
Awesome. Splash and scale finishes have become my go to body paints. They are both fantastic every time.
Yes Sir. It's kooking good. Thanks for watching.
Splash is by far my favorite paint. Lays down great.
I hear ya man. I'm diggin it. What's the cure time on this paint?
I agree, looks very good.
Yes Sir. Much obliged.
Looking good! Can't wait to see it with clear.
Hanks. I'm hoping it turns out nice.
Looking great Zippi, Can't wait to see the clear on it. Should look as good as Ruby. Ron
Oh yeah. Don't know if I can match Ruby. Thanks for coming by.
That looks really nice!!!
I believe it does also. Thanks for watching.
Looks great. Yes Splash paints are awesome.. I use them.
Thank's. I'll be shooting the clear on today.
Looks great buddy, can't wait to see it cleared.
Thanks Steve. I'm shooting the clear on today. Haven't seen you at the Cruise-in's lately.
Looks sharp!
Thanks Don.
What a cool color! I can't wait to get an airbrush so I can try splash paints!
Thanks Will. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Getting an airbrush was a game changer for me.
@olezippi Yeah, I bet! I love Tamiya rattle cans. But you're limited with color options, especially with the muscle car models, which are my favorites!
Looks great Bob, Splash is a nice product, 😎👍
It is Tom. I'm very pleased with the outcome. I appreciate the tip on the psi to shoot it at.
@@olezippi Glad it worked for you buddy
What's the cure time before hitting it with clear?
@@olezippi Give it a couple days to be safe
Thanks Buddy.
That looks great Zippi. I painted my first model with my airbrush. I used Tamiya acrylic paint and mixed it 2 to 1. As I was spraying I was thinking I might not have to mix the Tamiya paint. Your spray booth looks like mine. TOGUSH. Have a great day brother.
Thanks man. I can't remember the name of my spraybooth. I bought the cheapest one out there with dual fans because of the size. You have a Great day as well.
Nice looking color. its going to look sweet with some clear on it zippi.
Thanks Bubba. I'm hoping for a sweet turn out on this one.
Really nice-looking paint job. Man I got to try that.
Thanks. Give it a shot. It went down nice and smooth.
👍👍👍👍 GB 🙏🤗 Gary.
I appreciate ya making the trip to watch Gary.
Looks good Zippi.........I may have to try it out........have a good one buddy
Thank's man. I got with Splash Paints about cure time and was told 2 hrs was more than enough time. It's been 24 hrs so I'm going to shoot the clear urethane on today.
Splash paints are fantastic so far in my experience.
Yes Sir. In my experience as well.
@@olezippi I haven’t tried scale finishes yet, but from what I’ve been told it’s just as awesome
Looking good brother.
Thanks Ed.
I didn't have good luck with it on my first go around. Once I learned what I did wrong, it too has the egg shell look & no crazing this time.
Well, glad you got it figured out. Splash Paints seem like a good product.
Great jobe as usual
I appreciate it Buddy. Thank's for coming by.
I knew you would like that paint, me personally, I'd use their 2K clear. I use automotive 2K on everything, you can't beat the shine, but it is hazardous to use, you should wear a respirator.
Yup, going to shoot the 2K Urethane on today. The bad thing about their clear is I don't think I'd be able to use it in the winter time out in the garage.
Looks good 😊......now a clear coat 😁 unless you wet sand it
No wet sanding. Just going to hit it with the clear then wet sand and polish.
@@olezippi good to know thanks 😁
Is it lacquer or what??
Solvent based lacquer paint from what I've read.
@@olezippi thanks, I love lacquer and 2k clear.
