LOVE the ADK sticker. Heading west in a week with e350 and trailer ... my most favorite sticker is the blue oval "Unsalted and Sharkfree" Great Lakes Fun fun
Hello there, thanks for sharing your scenery roads trip through Montana and North Dakota. You went through Havre, not Harris. Then you went onto the Fort Peck Dam Reservoir. Hoping if you passed through Wolf Point, Montana is where I have immediate relatives. Thank for the road trip.
1998, two grandmothers, me age 58 my friend age 49, rode bicycles loaded with camping gear from Portland, Maine to Anacortes, Washington. I went through all those little towns in Montana that you mentioned. Saco, mosquito and black fly capital of the world, maybe they’re horseflies,I don’t know. Havre rolled in at 12 noon, not a bit of shade, 108°. You think that Highway 2 is flat but as you approach the Rockies you’re gaining altitude. And try to find a place to pee along side the road on Highway 2. Good thing the traffic was scarce. Somewhere in Montana we gave up camping and stayed in motels the rest of the way. Took us exactly 2 months, 3,600 miles. Greatest adventure of our lives! I want to backtrack the route in my car and I better hurry because I’m 81.
Hello cool John, You have a way of making a long flat boring road interesting. It's better for me to discover that road in front of my computer......ha-ha!!! Thanks for the sharing, and whenever you stop riding all across the country, well....you could easily become a travel counselor Thumbs up
Have you ever been in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, It's really nice. I was just up in Paradise a week ago the blueberries were on really good you get two Great Lakes lots of trout streams small lakes. lighthouses and just great senery. Best of all if you cross Mighty Mackinac Bridge To northern lower michigan then you could drop by for a visit. You could camp here if you want. Trout fishing is good here to
Boon Docker I was going to go there and at the last minute I decided not to. Maybe next year. I would love to get in to some lakes and fish for smallmouth and northern pike. Is there a lot of free camping up there.
This is an older video, so I don’t really remember but I think it was August. I found that all the little towns along the way, were very interesting to explore.
Hey John. Recent subscriber. I really enjoy your vids. I was hoping you would mention Chinook. Lived there for a couple of years as a yute. I know you have something against us Washington folk but if you make it over our way for some trout, would love to cast a few flies with ya. I will bring an assortment of good beer. Happy fishing!
Mark Pyle Welcome aboard my channel, I am glad you enjoy it. I remember going through Chinook and I do not know why I did not mention it. Winters must be brutal there. I have nothing against people from Washington state. Just don’t know why they all come into Montana when Washington state is so beautiful. I think next year I’m going to explore Washington State and do a lot of flyfishing there.
@@overthehillandoverthemount2925 I think we fantasize about Montana like everyone else. Haha! My in-laws live in CDA Idaho. Did a little unsuccessful fly fishing on the North Fork of the CDA. It was still fun. Thanks for the reply. When I see your Washington vids, I will reach out. Safe travels.
That looks like a long .flat ride through eastern Montana, similar to Texas. I like it that you are exploring it for us John. Better you than me. Keep it up my friend.
hi John, I just realise that you're at 977 subscribers. One thousand is just around the corner. Don't forget to keep a bottle of champagne and some caviar in your fridge.
Hey John, I used to live in Shelby. You missed the best campground which was a right turn down another gravel road after you left the VFW park and crossed the Lake Elwell dam. It's called Sanford park. You can camp right on the river there. One of our favorite spots. Take care!
Not much to do there other than going to the casino. Winters were tough for sure, but the Summers and all the great camping spots almost made up for it. We’re back in Texas now. Stay safe!
Well I know someplace I don't want to go. But thanks for showing us this I always wondered what that part of the country looked like. So where next John?
Was going to subscribe......but when u get political you lose 50% of your possible subscribers.....and you lost me. Your facts .....great. How's the new gas prices working for you?
