The hospital is in a damned if you do, damned if you don't. They have to make judgement calls, as mandated reporters. If they suspect something, it doesn't mean their "suspicions" are right, but they are still required by law to report their suspicions. If they don't, and the mother IS responsible, the hospital is still at fault.
Stop acting like you care about god. You sit here and wish for people to "pay dearly" instead of working towards forgiving them. You're not a good person. Stop using god as a facade. Either follow the good word, or stop using god as a means to make you look good.
I became a mom recently. When my daughter was 2 months old, I had to hospitalised for observation due to a heart episode for 1 day. And the whole time I was in the hospital, I was scrolling through all photos and videos of my daughter, watching her through the baby monitor because I missed her so much. I watched the documentary & was not expecting the part where mum took her own life, she was hounded & made to feel like she was making the whole thing up! So called professionals should stop & think about the damage their words & actions cause, I felt devastated for them. My own child became seriously ill when she was 15, no doctor would listen to me & up til she was 19 years of age she was diagnosed every year with yet another illness yet no one was getting to the route cause! At 19 my daughter had her first of many strokes, it took nearly 3 months of incorrect diagnoses to discover she had a rare disease that attacks the gut, brain, ears & eyes. Susac Syndrome has taken my daughter’s life even though she’s still alive. She lives with the mistakes made by so called professionals, she has been registered legally blind & she only has partial hearing left! She is cognitively damaged for life, she suffers spasticity in her limbs amongst multiple other lifelong disabilities. Had they listened to me when she was 15 we could have stopped this disease in its tracks but no the professionals think they know best! And just like Maya my daughter was failed too!!

Heads should roll in justice for the family! 😢 those beautiful teenagers are a credit to Beata and Jack. Pray for justice 🙏🏻🙏🏻
So many people along the way failed Maya. Failed this whole family. It's one of the most devastating cases I've ever heard.
Fr and it's still not over
yes it is HEARTBREAKING,CHILLING,FRIGHTENING.....I AM SPEECHLESS
This is so heartbreking 😢, I was so angry when i watched the documentary. I hope this family wins ! It'll be revolutionary
Im so happy this family is finally getting the opportunity to tell their story , the story of what should never ever have happened, sadly I dont think those responsible for this tragic outcome will really face justice , but they have to live with what they did to this family , I wish nothing but peace and healing for this family X
I don't think the responsible parties' egos leave any room for remorse, guilt, or even empathy for what they did within their evil hearts and minds.
I am sobbing like a baby watching this. I can’t imagine what this family has gone through. I pray they find peace, somehow, someway.
Oh my Lord. This is so heartbreaking. Praying for this family.
My prayers for the family 😢😢
My heart and emotions can't handle watching the whole trial. I'll just catch the highlights. My goodness, what this family has gone through! Beyond imaginable.
Wow this is SO HARD TO WATCH. THis poor INNOCENT family.... I will NEVER unhear this. I hipe they get justice. The jurys' have been getting it right, recently, and with all my heart, I hope they do again in this case. This is absolutely HORRIFIC
Watching from Spain I hope this family gets justice
The pain this family is feeling is palpable. 😢 I sincerely hope they get the outcome they deserve.
There wasn't a dry eye in the gallery,it was heart breaking.
Aww that poor boy and girl having to sit through this again. Breaks my heart
I saw the documentary. My heart was broken when they showed the funeral pictures. Truly disturbing 😢 I hope they win this case against that dirty hellish dungeon 'hospital'
What’s the documentary called?
@@savpal1757 thank you!
This is brutal to watch. Went through something similar. I’m sorry for these kids because these days in court will never leave their thoughts-ever. It’s torture reliving the events again for trial.
A couple of days ago I watched the documentary on Netflix, I'm so glad they made it to the trial, I remember how the pre hearing judge didn't even listen to the kids, so heartless, I hope they win!!, they need justice to heal and continue with their lives🙏🙏🙏
What an amazing uncle this man is.
This poor family. I cry my eyes out watching their pain...just absolutely so unfair what has happened to them. I really hope they get the justice they deserve.
I hope the agencies and the doctors pay for such a tragedy! Oh my God.
Hospitals, CPS, the courts, they make mistakes too. And this is exactly what people need to keep doing. Don't be afraid, fight back.
People aren’t afraid to fight back. It’s just that you’re fighting against huge corporations or government organizations that will make it IMPOSSIBLE to let anyone speak up. Unless you’re a well connected billionaire, you won’t have a chance.
@lilpiggi in their documentary, they share about being afraid, the trauma of relieving everything again. And even speaking of my own experience, people are afraid, it's intimidating. With or without counsel. I hope they find all their bravery throughout their case, I hope others dealing with similar situations do too.
👍
Mistake ? Na

I cried so much watching this documentary on netflix this was absolutely tragic. These kids needed their mother. This was so sad
Yes they needed their mother and then she kill’s herself. Sounds like she is was only thinking about her OWN pain
@@miagamesluz2655sounds to me like she was thinking the only way state would release her daughter from hospital was if she was out of the picture. She was right a week after maya was released to her family 🥺
What’s the name of the documentary on Netflix?
@@itskristinawithak Take Care of Maya - when you watch it keep tissues by you
@@prettib_sagqueen oh jeez…thank you🙏🏻
The doctors involved in this case told each other that 'we did the right thing' to reassure themselves, how disgusting! The inhumane judge who refused the mother to give her daughter a hug, oh boy, my blood boiled through the roof! How inhumane. How they sleep at night and continuing to work is beyond disgusting, evil and vile. I pray they get justice and win this case. Watching their story on Netflix made me very angry and sad, beyond angry 💢 i have not cried so much watching a show, this one will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Awful- and referring to Beata as “ Ketamine Mom”?
Is that same judge presiding here??? He should be prosecuted as well
my heart cries for this boy
Sending all my blessings to your family from Switzerland 🇨🇭 The world is watching and wants justice for your family Maya. You’re the strongest woman. I’m so sorry for you, Kyle and Jack.
That poor mother probably killed her self thinking, “If you won’t take us seriously and help our daughter while I’m here, then maybe you’ll take us seriously and help our daughter when I’m dead.”💔😔
I’m so glad they finally get the chance to hold all children’s hospital accountable. Mayas mother & her family deserve justice.
I watched the documentary on Netflix and really felt for Mayas brother. He really lost out so much and literally had to take a back seat , from the moment Maya got sick. You could feel his frustration, but he was so gentle and kind he supported her 💯. Also the father. I hope now they will have many years of good health and happiness together as a family. Regards from Ireland 🇮🇪 💚
Wow! That dispatcher! I mean, I understand needing to get as much info as possible, but some of those questions are ridiculous! That poor family. 😢
This is so sad. I'm so sorry for your family. My heart truly breaks for you all. I hope they are found guilty and responsible. Hugs to you all! ❤
What this poor family has gone through is unimaginable. Absolutely heartbreaking and completely avoidable. I hope all involved pay dearly for what they did to this family.
May God heal their hearts and Bless them beyond measure 🙏
The hospital is in a damned if you do, damned if you don't. They have to make judgement calls, as mandated reporters. If they suspect something, it doesn't mean their "suspicions" are right, but they are still required by law to report their suspicions. If they don't, and the mother IS responsible, the hospital is still at fault.
Stop acting like you care about god. You sit here and wish for people to "pay dearly" instead of working towards forgiving them. You're not a good person. Stop using god as a facade. Either follow the good word, or stop using god as a means to make you look good.
Amen

Testifying in this video, is their uncle.
Their Dad is Jack. He’s sitting behind Maya.
Ok thank you
So horrendous broke my heart watching what this family went through and are still going through love to them all x
This was just heartbreaking. And no one was held accountable for this. That poor mother. CPS and doctors had it wrong. And no one will admit.
I became a mom recently. When my daughter was 2 months old, I had to hospitalised for observation due to a heart episode for 1 day. And the whole time I was in the hospital, I was scrolling through all photos and videos of my daughter, watching her through the baby monitor because I missed her so much. I can’t imagine being separated from my daughter for 3 months! It would have killed me 😢 My heart goes out to this family, I hope they find justice
You describe your journey?
This is so tragic. Watching them having to relive this Is absolutely heart breaking. I pray for the best possible outcome for this beautiful family
I watched this story on Netflix. Such a nightmare for this family. It’s heartbreaking all they endured from the healthcare team and then to lose their mother is absolutely tragic.
I wish Beata could have held on longer but as a mother I can’t judge how to handle being accused and separated from your children in this way. I wish the kids all the strength they will need to review this time in their lives. Praying for their healing❤

And just like Maya my daughter was failed too!!
horrible! i’m so sorry for your daughter and you! 💔

She’s lucky to have a mom like you. The healthcare system is truly pathetic particularly in its treatment of girls and women
I was a very sick child, I was in and out of the hospital constantly and seen many specialist. This was the 80’s so a different time but I can’t imagine how much worse I would of been if they took me away from my Mom. Or how stressed my parents would have been worrying about me. I feel so bad for this family.

Thank goodness your mother did disappear from your life
This Uncle is a good guy.
I'm late looking in to this case,I watched the entire documentary and I stayed strong but looking at the trial this part made me cry I can't imagine the pain this family endured...prayers to you all
Absolutely heartbreaking 💔
This whole situation should have never happened. I hope this family gets some kind of Justice. They will never have their mother back but the people who caused this need to be held responsible.
Hearing that 911 call brought me to tears. My dad recently killed himself. I still cant believe it. I feel for her kids. I sadly know what it’s like. It’s something I’ll never get over. I miss him so much. Its still unreal to me
@Limux556 thank you 🙏🏻
johns hopkins should never stop paying for this. Their victims cant ever stop having this be the truth of their life -- all because they trusted the wrong hospital to heal instead of hurt
Beautiful family, so deserving of JUSTICE.
Tear jerker. Big time. Maya’s Uncle’s testimony.
Ripped my heart out.
So many people failed this poor girl when it came to her medical care. I can’t imagine her and her family having to relive this day over and over.
no winner in this case. It's awful 😢. RIP.
Beyond heartbreaking! I don't know how that nut job doctor who caused this nightmare sleeps at night!

I hope she doesn't, either. She's done this to so many families.
Also, there were doctors and nurses on staff at Johns Hopkins who disagreed with Dr Smith, but not one of them stepped up to help Maya or her family.

I worry so much for Kyle and the whole family yes. But that baby finding his mom is so heartbreaking.
This is so painful just to watch, I can't imagine living it. I always like watching trials, but this one it's been a real challenge.
What this family must fight in this life is unbelievable. I'm so glad that they get this trial. And I hope that they win. The hospital doctor and the woman who should take care of the girl are monsters in my opinion. 😢
My heart hurts for this poor family. 😢
you know it’s really sad when the whole room is crying💔
$200M isn’t enough. The hospital and DCFS should admit their fault and pay. Such a heartbreaking story 💔
No amount of Money will never fix a situation like this 😭
I want to take a second to thank the 911 operator for her level of professionalism. This poor family 😢
So horrible and unimaginably tragic 😢
That poor beautiful family. I hope they get justice and they heal ❤️
Watching Mr. Anderson hold Maya by the shoulder: he looked like a grandpa comforting his grand daughter. He is such a champion for this family.
I watch so many documentaries, but this one made me cry more than any other
This family is so strong. Prayers and peace of mind, justice for this family. ❤
I’m new to watching/seeing this!! But those poor kids!!! Seeing them cry again brought me to tears 💕
this case has had me in tears all the way through, my 14yr old son was alone with my mum when she passed, she coughed, closed her eyes and never woke up. My son was mute in shock for approx 6wks, it was awful. I hope Kyle gets help bless him
I cry and cry every time I hear this phone call.
This mother gave her life for her daughter. The only way to free her from the clutches of that hospital was to take her own life to draw the attention of the relevant authorities and clearly see the injustice they had been committing to her family by separating them from her daughter with a slander. May God give justice to this family.
if you haven’t watched, “Take Care of Maya” you need to. this family deserves justice & i pray they get it! everything they went through was absolutely horrifying & sick!
