    Jess, I love how well you teach & explain all things! (I’m sure your students miss you at school!) Your symbols are so great for me too! You have fantastic insight with all things bujo! I can see you meeting with Ryder over bubble teas & sharing ideas! 😂 That would be so cool!!

    For me, I felt that an X was too negative to indicate “completed.” So, my tasks are open circles, and when I finish a task, I fill the circle in. For a cancelled task, I fill the circle in and line out the wording. I still use the < > symbols for migration. Events are triangles but I don’t have any fancy indicators to show whether or not I went lol. Notes are still just dashes for me. I also use color-coded pens, pink for personal, purple for work, Green for finance, and blue for pets and gardens. So if I need to give my dog a bath, that would be an open circle task in blue pen. When I get a bill, Pay (Whatever) Bill becomes an open circle task in green pen, and the due date is a dash note also in green pen. If my friend wants to meet for coffee on Thursday at 4:30, that’s a triangle event in pink pen. Just another example of making it your own! Love your channel Jess!

    Thanks for the video!
    I used to use squares for bullets. Half-painted diagonally were for started ones, fully painted for completed ones.
    But as far as I've been watching your videos, I get very interested in your system. I'm using it in my September spreads and I love it.
    As for custom bullets, once I used as following: dash (minus) - for a task, + for a started task, a circle around + for finished task. Minuses were very easily turned into arrows for migrated/postponed tasks. It was very handy in my work notes, but absolutely inconvenient in my everyday spreads.
    Now I use similar (but slightly different) system in my content planner 😅🤣 a blank circle for a schedule, a must have (post which I must plan, but I haven't yet); a plus in this circle for a scheduled, pre-planned post; and a black circle for a posted one.

    I use a dot for a task, but sometimes I use a checkmark to show I've completed it and sometimes I "X" it out when it's completed. Growing up, for me, an X meant cancelled. So, I still have a hard time using it sometimes lol

    • @JashiiCorrin
      @JashiiCorrin  10 місяців тому +1

      That's fair 👏 I often use check marks for projects because it's satisfying to put the lil "tick" in 👌💜

    On my task list I tend to do an open circle and then I fill it in once I've completed the task but I do draw arrows if I've moved it to a different day. On my brain dump page I tend to do a little dot and then put a check mark on it once it's complete or I cross the whole thing off if it's something that I'm not going to do or I don't need to worry about.
