You said you never heard anything like that before. And you’ll never hear anything like that again. That was a once in lifetime performance and the greatest guitar solo of all time.
it's not a one-time thing I've been to 8 Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts... and they performed the song like this every time... I bet you've never been the one Lynyrd Skynyrd concert
I didn't make it to Woodstock but i was at this concert. 3 brunettes with the sun burnt blond to our left on a guy's shoulders. It was awesome! Then the awful crash 😢😢😢😢😢
Oh how you underestimate that last instrumental. That is 3 guitarists, 2 playing the main duet, with the bassist also rocking out. This isn't just a performance. This is Legend. If you want another great live Skynyrd song check out; You got that right - 7/13/1977 - Convention Hall (official) There is reason these guys are still legends to this day. Hope everyone is having a great week & much love to everyone from here in the UK
The person I was dating my senior year of high school took me to this tour in St. Louis the Fall before this concert. We sat 2nd row center and The Outlaws opened up for them. Yes we looked great back then. Now I have 6 grandchildren lol
You’re spot on! Best time ever to be alive! Too bad we didn’t quite know what we had or how good it was. And no, I doubt they’re married at all. He was on her the entire concert and she was NOT happy! She wanted to watch the concert.
I love watching people's faces when My all time favorite band kicks it into High Gear and Shredds the Living Hell out of those 6 slingers ! Allen Collins and Stevie Gaines were 2 of the greatest guitarist that's ever lived ! I ran upon your channel and saw you reacting to my favorite band and I grew up jamming out to these legends.. I've saw em twice but not the original . I was fortunate enough to see Billy Powell the keyboard player and Leon Wilkeson the Bass player in Riverbend Cincinnati in 96 and both of them have passed on and I also saw The founding member of the Guitar Army Actual name The Outlaws out of Florida to and Huey Thomason was playing with Skynyrd when I saw em in 96 . You wanna hear some more shredding the Absolute Hell out of guitars you can react to The Outlaws Green grass and High Tides and listen to the studio version and I promise you will flip a lid and need a bunch of Cold Beer and maybe a good shot of Wild Turkey 💯
I was lucky enough to be a teenager at this time. Never got the chance to see Skynyrd or Led Zeppelin. But have seen about every legendary band from Aerosmith to ZZ Top. Hope your wish to go to a real rock concert comes true. Going to sound like the old man I am now. There are no rock bands today that can compare to the groups of the 70s.
There were still some steel beer cans used up until 1980, when they were completely replaced by aluminum..That's what you're seeing there..Damn things were near impossible to crush with your hand!
Great reaction Mauro. If you would like to take a journey with Lynyrd Skynyrd down the southern rock rabbit hole, I suggest their live versions of "T for Texas" and "Call Me the Breeze" for some more three guitar army, let-it-rip southern boogie.
I was born in 1966 also. Nothing will ever match the 1970’s,.. and i mean nothing. Best music,.. best movies,.. best tv shows. We had KISS,.. Evel Knievel,…the list goes on. Best time to live period. Coolest time to be alive!!!✌️
We had it great..high-school '77 to '81...we kicked ass..and the ladies were BEAUTIFUL..men were men, and women were women! The beer cans were not aluminum yet.
@MC-fv4vv They used to be made out of rolled steel..they were thicker and a bit heavier back in the day. Coors was about the first American beer company to go to aluminum...soda cans were the same way. Take care, from Arizona USA...formerly of southwest Indiana at the time this video was made.
Your music level is too low… about 20-30dB. It’s always better to have the music louder than your voice during a reaction. Try it and ask a friend to choose between different settings. Great reaction, thank you! EDIT: Go to a rock concert! You’ll thank me…. :)
I was born a yr later in 78. Both my parents were there. I wonder when and where I was conceived? Totally not there. ( I'm being sarcastic, nonAmericans.) I was totally there, in ball and egg form. 😁😁😁

what do you think they're not able to play this Freebirds song to this level one time in the 30-year career
You’re absolutely right Artimus Pyle was beating those damn drums like a machine gun.
Born in 1954 so had the pleasure of 60s and 70s music. Those little hippie chicks are now grannys, God i miss the 70s.
Its always nice to see the younger generation enjoy real music from great bands
I Always Love watching how Allen Collins looks like he wants to rip the whammy bar right off his guitar during that ending crescendo 🙂
You’re watching absolutely greatness!!
That’s when the guys would let us girls in the front so we could see!😂❤❤❤
Back when women were women and men were men!
I was born 1958. Music really changed late 60's for better. Enjoy these old videos/ recordings. Great music has its own language
Dude had no idea that he's about to hear the best piece of guitar music ever made.
I loved being mind blown!
@@USAMauro..and four guitars...alternating playing rhythm and lead...the music I grew up with..
I absolutely love your reaction. This is the finest live performance of any song I've ever witnessed, be it in person or on video.
Wow, thank you so much!
Allen Collins did break the tremolo bar off the guitar at the 1976 Knebworth show during this song.
I didn't make it to Woodstock but i was at this concert. 3 brunettes with the sun burnt blond to our left on a guy's shoulders. It was awesome! Then the awful crash 😢😢😢😢😢
Best Band of all time's ❤❤❤❤❤
I seen em 1977 summer at mile high stadium .7 bands,12 hours. It was unbelievable
No cell phones, no bras, no worries. Just people having a great time.
Great to see young folks enjoying the greatest southern rock band ever. This is the greatest closing song bar none.
Thank you sir!
Sorry, but that claim is reserved solely for the original..The Allmans.

That 3 guitarists was actually 4 guitarists if you watch carefully
That 3 guitarists was actually 4 guitarists if you watch carefully
@@davidlamont5793 I know. 3 main guitars, & the bass. As I said. Sorry, I did phrase that badly
The person I was dating my senior year of high school took me to this tour in St. Louis the Fall before this concert. We sat 2nd row center and The Outlaws opened up for them. Yes we looked great back then. Now I have 6 grandchildren lol
Wow, that is a great story!! Congratulations!!!
This concert was in JULY of 1977 ! And yes as always LYNYRD SKYNYRD was by far the best band that day or ever 😂❤🎉😊
You’re spot on! Best time ever to be alive! Too bad we didn’t quite know what we had or how good it was. And no, I doubt they’re married at all. He was on her the entire concert and she was NOT happy! She wanted to watch the concert.

Great reaction.
you may also enjoy the live version of Lynyrd Skynyrd T for texas 1976 kenworth concert.
Nice reaction Mauro.
The sad thing is some of them died in the bands plane crash three months later RIP 😢
I didnt't know it! It's such a sad story omg
It is quite sad the only person from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Original, that is still alive. Today is the drummer. Everyone else is resting in peace.
And he is not the "original" drummer. Bob Burns was, and he died in a car crash here in Ga. a few years ago.
I subscribe you, freebird is the one of comforting and enjoying song, and i like your reaction 😂❤

I was born in 1966. I lived in the best generation

The beer cans back then were made of Steel . If You could crush one with one hand you were a badass!!!!!!!!!!!! . Watch the film "Jaws" .
Welcome to "Southern Rock" brother... theres all kinda great rock bands from this Era in America...
On The Hunt - Winterland 1975
Funny you say that you've never been to a rock concert. Well they were my first in April of 1977.
Great band!
New sub and I graduated high school the year you were born!! I thought I’d try ya out… I love Italian food! Hahaha 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Man of Culture reference...Excellent!!
Yes sir Ronnie we still remember you…
You are watching one of the best bands of all time, play one of the top rock songs of all time, with one of the best solos of all time.
I want to visit lake Como and see where my Moto Guzzi was built. I've heard its beautiful.

They were the best, simply put. Artimus Pyle is still an excellent drummer. He’s the only one left.

Have you ever heard Freebird before this?
Only the record
