Tipping Waitresses €100 in Europe!! European Reaction 💸
The 80s were truly magical when it comes to music
In the Navy, you can sail the seven seas. In the Navy, catch a social disease.
Most of these songs were number 1 hits
Ciao paisan! I just discovered your channel and I love it. I am a 71 year old baby boomer and I love that you are listening to my generation’s music and enjoying your reaction. I particularly love how you said that Elvis dominated the 60’s UNTIL The Beatles came along and then it was all over. Out went the slicked back hair and tuxedo’s and in came long hair and bell bottom pants! Thank you so much for your reactions!
Hi from Georgia USA!! Many of these songs were hits in the UK but not USA, but who cares? Your reaction is awesome! I love your happy, positive energy! Happy New Year!
I shouldn’t say “many” but “several” of these songs….
16:47 afternoon delight was about being intimate with your partner in the afternoon rather than waiting until night
15:57 even in the 70s, not all choreography was good choreography. I don’t recall ever seeing this particular video or these dancers, but I do remember not liking various dance routines back in the 70s. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Roger Moore was James Bond in 1973 not Pierce Brosnan. Pierce didn’t become James Bond until 1986.
This is the BRITISH number 2's--NOT The USA. Different on each side of the Atlantic.
Ben was a movie about a rat.
Michael Jackson was about nine years old when he started singing for real. Possibly younger than that. By the time he made Ben, he was probably 13 or 14
The song been by Michael Jackson is about a rat. There was a movie that came out called Willard and then the sequel was Ben. My sister and I had the Ben album
5:44 this was a famous song for Coca-Cola. In the commercial people of different cultures and different races are standing around together holding a Coke symbolizing harmony.
Yes the song War was directly connected to the Vietnam war which did not end until 1975. There were a lot of songs in the 60s and 70s protesting war and environmental issues
Video Killed the Radio Star was the first song played on MTV.
What the hell were they thinking about with “shaddup yo face”
First of all, everyone keeps reacting to videos of 1st or 2nd biggest American hits each month in the 1970s, but the problem is these aren't American hits, they're European hits. There were lots of songs popular on both side of the Atlantic, but it wasn't 100%. With that aside, here's some BeeGees trivia. Per these videos, they had the most popular songs in January, February and April 1978 with "How Deep is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever." But most folks probably don't know that they also wrote the 2nd most popular songs in March and April 1978, "Emotion" by Samantha Sang and "If I Can't Have You" by Yvonne Elliman. In that 4-month period, more than half of the #1 and #2 hits belonged to them. Amazing run.
So their European hits. Thanks for the explanation. I wonder why hot butter popcorn considered a number two song considering the hideous choreography. Even for 1972, it was appalling.
The question mark at the end of the title is apropos because a lot of these songs never hit here! The video itself is entertaining though.
The young one doing all the singing with the Jackson 5 is Michael Jackson when he was a kid.
Ob la di ob la aa was wrote by the Beatles. Marmalade covered it.
Not sure what this list is based on. Some of these never made USA charts. Others were much lower. Still fun to watch
As enjoyable as these videos are, I always have the same question! Bony M for example never hit over here.
It's a mix of USA and UK charts, probably
this reactor is clueless, who knows what the actual list says
The song “BEN”, by Michael Jackson was actually about a RAT named “Ben” - the Horror movie “BEN”, and sequel to the horror movie “WILLARD “. 📻😮
Bee Gees and ABBA
Ladies and gentlemen......THE BEATLES
You would of loved the 80's! Born in 1970, experiencing music that decade was beyond words. Van Halen, Journey, Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison, Erasure, Salt N Pepper...SO MANY!!!!
My father use to listen to early 60s songs in the car when I was a kid. There use to be commercials for CDs with those songs on TV. I like Hit the Road Jack by Ray Charles. I didn't know he sang that song when I first heard it. To me, he was the guy from the Pepsi ads. I remember Mr Lonely from an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I heard Baby Love in the first seaason of Full House. I've heard Phil Collins' cover of Can't hurry Love a lot on the radio. I probably heard The Beach Boys in Full House and The Wonder Years. I remember Homer Simpson singing Sugar Sugar.
1964/1965 and 1966/1967 and 3 in 1969! The Beatles really dominated! I was surprised at how much Elvis was popular too. My mom was a HUGE Tom Jones fan and saw him in concert in the 1970s and has a few of hia albums. Thanks for your fun reaction! Best from #BuffaloNY
Not sure what authority claims these songs were the second most popular in America each month, but many of these songs did not even chart in the US -- so it must be for another region than America.
5:29 sounds like he is growling and grunting.
The movie is called Fast times at Ridgemont High and the character's name is Jeff Spicoli. It has a lot of stars when they were young.
Walmart in the US has their own brand that's made in Italy. As an American, it's terrible. A small amount of cheese, spicy sauce and fresh basil. The crust is the only good thing. I guess it's all based on what you are used to.
22:32 - In The Mood is not FROM 1989, it's from the early 40's xP. It's just that particular cover of it that's from 1989, lol.
Kim Wilde's cover of "You keep me hanging on" was the first pop-song I remember falling in love with.
Not a list of popular songs from the USA but from Great Britain.
Definitely not a video about music in the USA, they have a very insular taste when it comes to music not from their own country. American Woman is an anti American song by a Canadian group, The Guess Who. You should listen to the entire song. Molto potente! Una bomba!
You just told me your knowledge of American music taste is equal to your knowledge of the meaning of the song American Woman, which is zero on both counts, according to Burton Cummings who wrote the lyrics, it's not an anti American song, it's a song about how much faster American women matured than the Canadian women he was used to being around, and I guess all those artists from places like the UK, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Canada, and Italy etc., that were major acts on American radio and television, and in concert venues throughout the country were a figment of my imagination, also the fact that early American rock n roll artists were the inspiration for most artists from other countries isn't true. Americans embraced artists from all over the world because they were playing the music that originated here, and doing it exceptionally. You do know that Domenico Modugno won the very first Grammy award here for Song of the Year for Volare`. Last I checked he isn't an American.
@@rds3547 Typical American ignorance, Im sure "We don't need your war machine and we don't need your ghetto scenes" are all about mature American women. Moron.
"Dirty Diana" my favourite MJ song.
MARRS "Pump Up The Volume" was huge in Canada.
"The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in Canada is known as being done by the Nylons.
"One Of Us" is my favourite ABBA song. It was on my dad's only 'hip' album he owned; their last studio album before breaking up- "Visitors".
Roy Orbison did "Crying" first. Don Mclean 2nd and last and best was kd Lang in the 90's.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
5:33 wtf do you mean? That's how it growns from his scalp. Have you never seen a black person before?
Thanks! I always get the Bonds confused 😅
Duran Duran were the biggest band in the world between 1983 and 1985, they were absolutely massive, and they're British.
No, the video is not about that, since "Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood was #1 in the UK for 9 weeks and #1 in many European countries, in the US it did not even reach the top 40. Most of the songs In this video they are from Europe.
The video is not about the most popular songs in America, but worldwide, as a Brit I have recognized more than 40 British songs, and more than 30 that come from Canadians, Australians and Europeans. These are British, the ones I recognized. February 1970, March 1970, June 1970, December 1970, January 1971, March 1971, July 1971, August 1971, November 1971, January 1972, April 1972, January 1973, February 1973, March 1973, April 1973, August 1973, September 1973, January 1974, February 1974, March 1974, August 1974, February 1975, March 1975, April 1975, June 1975, July 1975, November 1975, March 1976, August 1976, December 1976, January 1977, February 1977, March 1977, June 1977, November 1977, December 1977, May 1978, June 1978, July 1978, August 1978, January 1979, March 1979
This kind of makes me wonder about the ranking system used. At least a dozen I've never heard, and I know 70s/80s pretty well. Regardless, a ton of very good songs in this video.
A few of these were hit songs in Britain, and Europe, but didn’t make it very high on the U.S. Charts. 📻🙂
There were only 4 I don't remember.
The Vietnam War stretched from the 1950’s until about 1976
Please react to Trying Every President's favorite food from Jessi and Alessio
How can you grow hair like that? 😳
Michael Jackson started at the age of 5 when his father formed the Jackson 5 with him and his four brothers
