As a kid I grew up on a large beef cattle farm (Minnesota, USA) and worked around cattle on different jobs as a teenager, but never knew why I liked it so much. I recently learned of my Scottish heritage (adopted at birth) and am learning so much about the traditions and livelihood of my ancestors. My Scottish ancestor's surname was "Buie" and they came here from Scotland in 1749. Anyway, love watching your videos and the care you give to each animal. Well done!!

Oh my gosh! I adore stroopwafles! They're so good! Fun little trick though, if you're having a hard time with them cause they're cold, put them over your coffee. Usually the big ones are just large enough that they won't fall in, and the steam off the hot drink will warm them up and get them all nice and gooey inside. My absolute favorite breakfast treat!

I like seeing the everyday type job. That is just as interesting to me as the more difficult hoof trims. I like the way the music is soft but can still be heard. Graham does a great job of explaining all aspects of their business of hoof trimming.
@@jasminehagerman6329 I keep trying to do that for myself. But it doesn't work very well. I'm often times 25 minutes early for the bus. The bus runs every 30 minutes. There are exceptions to this. But they're not my fault. Sometimes, rarely, the buses run perfectly. Then I end up waiting for an hour or more at the doctor's office.
That U-turn on Farm 2 came from lots of experience it appears. This was a great episode. Craig did a great job hosting. You are both fortunate to love your job, the cows and each other.
My parents learned from my grandparents and so on that, ‘If you love what you do for a job, you never work a day in your life’. It’s so true! As Graeme has said in another video, he’s had so many other jobs and this one he’s been doing for over 10 years and it’s the one he likes best. I’m so happy for him. I hope this channel keeps growing for him. He deserves it!👍😁❤️

I am so glad I found this channel. I never knew all of this is done to not only keep the cows safe but to keep them healthy and producing well. You can tell how much he loves what he does and the animals as well. With him teaching his brother in law, his confidence is going to shine and he couldn’t ask for a better teacher either.

I have watched other hoof trimmers on UA-cam, and I’ve noticed how gentle you are with the cattle. Some people just hack into their hooves like nobody’s business, and you are so slow and methodical with every stroke you take. I definitely noticed that and appreciate that! I hate when people just take huge chunks out of the cows hooves, without being slow and gentle.
seeing the mutual respect, and the constant support you have for each other is really heartwarming. Craig has also really come out of his shell, and it's just wonderful. You guys are bright points in this world, and I appreciate you.

I'm a 75 year old registered nurse living in Chicago. Watching you brings to mind my uncle's farm in Minnesota which is still in the family. I'm reminded of visiting when I was young and petting the calves, and how they like to suckle on your fingers. My uncle had a "milking parlor", quite different from most of your customers. I remember the pet pigs and the Shetland pony. Thanks for triggering those memories. I find your accent delightful and only difficult to understand when the mic overhears you speaking rapidly and candidly to each other. I find your demeanor quite charming and very high energy. A tip , put the Stroopwaffle on top of your cup like a lid for a couple of minutes and it softens the toffee and they are brill.
When there fresh they should not be hard at all.
When supermarket bought some are hard as concrete

I'm reminded of visiting when I was young and petting the calves, and how they like to suckle on your fingers. My uncle had a "milking parlor", quite different from most of your customers.
