Este piloto si que tiene los huevos bien puestos, estamos hablando del año 1988 , cero tecnología que tienen los autos nuevos, caja de cambios manual, caminos sin barreras de protección, increíble este piloto
I doubt that he would want to drive with anything but the manual gearbox. You could see how much control over the car and gearbox he had; he wouldn't sacrifice that!
i dont understand automatic, why you would not want to control your engine yourself, to decide when to change gear to decide basically if you want some punch at high rpm like for climbing a steep hill or go past someone on the highway or low rpm for fuel consumption or use brake engine to dont overuse your brakes and consume less fuel. It learns you to comprehend and make one with your machine. I understand automatic only for handicaped people or children.
to think this track was ruined to asphalt...
@Mr. Handsome Actually the Gov was forced to after a court case brought by the Serria Club.
Basically environmental bullshit ruined this event.
Environmentalists ruined it? I'm a motorhead myself. Have you watched elctric dirt bikes? Daamn!!

Patrick Willens had to make a video about the movie Grand Prix and its groundbreaking cinematography, now i'm rewatching this once again to see all the influences carried from the 60's movie.
