S8 has newer Sony sensor IMX 333 compared to IMX280 from S7Edge - that's might be the difference, application couldn't be enough. Of course S7Edge has a great camera anyway :)

The best measure of a camera's raw performance, is a comparison of the fine detail and dynamic range at specific ISOs. All camera sensors in existence, lose dynamic range as you increase the ISO, and all get a lower SNR, thus high frequency details (fine detail) begins to get lost as the ISO goes up. With smartphone cameras getting better, and offering more manual controls, I wish sites like DXO mark would generate their SNR and dynamic range plots for smartphone cameras, as those are tests that really require highly controlled lab conditions.

The recorded videos are where you can draw a proper comparison. S8+ has amazing video stabilisation and good noise cancellation. The pictures really seem to be the same on both the devices. In all, it's a great way to compare 2 cameras, really did a beautiful job with it. You're also a good photographer, man. 🤘🏻 good luck
Dude, this only prooves that the Galaxy's have a very damn good camera, because even the S7 is still winning some top notch smartphones from 2017, they are not messing on a team that is winning, and probably with future updates the S8 can even improve the camera processing, that's so cool...

If your from the UK and want a wrap/skin but it from xtremeskins they have the cut out on the back which shows the Samsung logo and the quality is the same as Dbrand.
great review 👍 although I wish the 8+ wasn't so cropped in it was indeed better, I'm also glad that they got rid of the "soft face" side of things with the upgrade that everyone was complaining about on the S7 ; and for me I'd use use both phones for different camera effects ...

as always great video saf, but you should also test the cameras on taking pictures of moving subjects, are they fast enough to capture sharp images even if the subject is moving? This will also help for street photographers. Thanks.
