Sometimes when you see a picture by a camera that you like you'll go out of your way to rationalize why that one is better when in fact it isnt simply because of a biased point of view. I've done it a few times myself.
G6 does have a noise cancellation setup for you to tweak while recording. Though in the video it was loud, the fact that it can record audio that loud in the same range as S8 gives better options on farther range. So stop whining People, S8 can't have it all
G6 had better audio in my opinion. But the s8 basically took every other round. Stabilization is noticeably better on the s8, so is video quality and s8 easily takes better lowlight pics. Honestly was not as close as I expected them to be
Good review in my testing I find that I can simulate the LG G6 wide angle feature on the g6 by changing the resolution on both selfie and camera to 16:9 from 4:3 on the rear camera and the same on the front facing camera. Even though the resolution drops. What are your thoughts on these two settings on the S8?
Lgs hifi mic setup has always been nice. And also its pro mode is much wider. But S8 wins on the clarity and color side(some colors pop a little too much but its still nice).

Y'all people are ridiculous when the LG G4 came out and you saw all the camera comparisons between the S6 people say how they didn't like the LG G4s camera because the colors were to natural. The S6 cameras had more eye-popping colors and saturation. Now with the G6 they're putting more eye-popping colors and y'all are idiots are still complaining it's like LG can't win regardless.
S8 does a much better job overall but G6 isn't bad just surprised its not as good as the V20 but I guess the V series is LGs true flagship like Samsung's Note series.

I'm really impressed with the LG G6. The Galaxy S8 is more sharper, well stabilised, fast focusing and better at low light. Audio wise, the G6 is louder but the S8 is clear. honestly the rear on the S8 and the G6 are both really good, each one has its ups and down. For example the S8 is freaking amazing on low light, and the G6 is amazing in landscape shots and colorful shots. The selfie camera on the other hand is much much better on the S8. The only thing the selfie camera on the G6 did good was the mic and the wideshots.

Probably the two best phones currently. I did notice during the front camera video comparison when the audio was on the S8 it was very tinny and had a slight echo where as the G6 was clear and punchy.
LG front facing camera's have this feature that is meant to blur some of the imperfections on your face when taking selfies. Unfortunately, the result is usually blurring your whole image. You can turn this feature OFF, and then your image will look sharper. Probably not as sharp as the Samsung (5MP vs 8MP) but when you made this video, you might have had the blur turned on for the G6.
Overall, the S8 definitely takes the win. The only area I'd give the G6 is it's audio quality being that much louder. Low light is an easy take for the S8 with it's f1.7 and larger pixel sizes. Idk why the G6 brought down it's MP for the camera, but didn't increase the pixel size which would've definitely helped low light shots. What's sad is that in regular daytime shots, the wide angle lens did a much better job with contrast and sharpness compared to the main lens. The main lens shots were too soft for my taste. I think even the wide mode in the front cam was better in DR compared to it's standard mode.
It's quite obvious to see that the S8's camera is superior in all the auto tests. However, I would still opt to buy the LG G6 (as I have done, waiting on delivery) because the manual modes are second to none. I used the manual modes on the G4 and G5 99% of the time, when taking photo's, because I know enough to set certain levels pretty quickly. I love the 30 second shutter speed option - it makes for some great starry skies pictures. As for the sound, the S8 sounds like you're talking in to an empty baked bean can - not nice at all.
That is one thing I like about the newer samsung high end smartphones, they don't do the slow focus pull that some other phone makers do (that is often a software choice as to how fast it is set to move the focusing element). For the front facing camera on the G6, the different views are likely done in software using the built in lens correction, It has a wide angle lens and just switches the lens profile. I believe this due to some details in the center of the frame warping slightly. Basically with lens correction, if you correct to straighten horizontal and vertical lines fully, then the framing ill become more cropped in. I think they may be using an 8 megapixel front facing camera but using software to lens correct and then generate a re-sampled/ interpolated 5 megapixel resulting image.
S8 just destroyed the LG G6. The video was so unstable with blown out highlights. S8 has better processing, better dynamic range, better low light. Just a lot better than the G6.

Good vid! Just curious why none of the pics taken with main back cameras were of moving subjects but always stationary ones like street signs, trees, buildings. I think it's important to see how camera performs while taking pics of people, kids, pets.

The S8 won the front camera and the video, but the G6 won the rear camera. That inferior lowlight shot the G6 produced can easily be averted by going to manual mode and learning how to tinker with it.

The first pic with the rear cameras on the flower, the g6 had a clearer image, the flower was basically the same in both photos, but the g6 was clearer when it came to the leaf next to it. Although when zoomed in, you can definitely see the LG is a bit more overly vibrant with the colors. It isn't horrible, but it is over saturated compared to the s8

The S8 won the front camera and the video, but the G6 won the rear camera. That inferior lowlight shot the G6 produced can easily be averted by going to manual mode and learning how to tinker with it.

Hey SuperSaf TV thanks for the video. Samsung Galaxy S8 is looking good but am I just in love with the product? To me it almost seems to be beating some video cameras in the $400 range. At what price range can I get a video camera that out preforms the Galaxy S8?

The first pic with the rear cameras on the flower, the g6 had a clearer image, the flower was basically the same in both photos, but the g6 was clearer when it came to the leaf next to it.
Although when zoomed in, you can definitely see the LG is a bit more overly vibrant with the colors. It isn't horrible, but it is over saturated compared to the s8

The wide Angle is a nice feature to have on the G6 (Both main and selfie cameras!) but the rear main camera should have been an optical zoom camera that would have blown it out of the water the V30 (LG's version of the Galaxy Note!) will have a Wide Angle and a 2 or 4 times optical zoom camera (Only 4 times if they can keep the camera bulge down.)!
The V30 will have a 6.5 inch screen the same V20 Mic setup, OIS for the rear/main cameras and EIS for the selfie cam (Selfie cam will also keep the awesome feature of the V20 of using the screen as an LED to light up the area!), V30 will also have LG's OLED Curved Edge Screen Rumoured to be 4K with an option to choose 2K/UHD or 1080p/FHD but nothing lower and will automatically scale down the resolution as the power drops, Will also have a massive 4,500mah battery, IP68 Rating as well as MIL-STD-810G Test Method 516.6 Shock (Same as the V10 & V20), Will support Googles Daydream VR, home/power/fingerprint reader on the back same as the G6 & V20 but will go back to the V10 & LG G4 style volume buttons above and below the home/fingerprint reader/power button, Not Confirmed but may also features a LG Stylo/stylus pen but with many more features than the Stylo line of phones, In-Screen Fingerprint Scanner!
