I love how pretty much everyone who plays ends up liking Jorji, we'll get angry at the people with expired passports, but Jorji we're all just like "you're trying".
With you reading the conversations and making it entertaining costing you the necessary speed, I'd probably recommend just turning on the "Easy mode" checkbox in the menu, it just gives you an extra $20 per day with no downside really. That will give you the leeway to continue making this playthrough entertaining while not being quite so strict on the funds
There is an easy mode? Thank you for this information! I wasn't able to go past first week because of money problems, as I am too slow, but maybe with extra $20 I'll finally be able to finish this game.
@@ranrand4154 You can rack up an _intense_ amount of money on the first day since you quite literally don't need to look at _anything_ but the nationality. If with that starting point of $100-$200 you still can't go through the first week, you _really_ gotta at least get a bit of speed in this game I feel like...
Mate, in 2023 it's so refreshing to see an "old school" Let's Play of this instead of a livestream where the player's just being influenced by the chat the entire time and not actually invested in the game itself. This is so great. I'm so glad to have found this. It makes me feel like a teenager watching hours of LPs again.
Damn bro, thats so true. Came here looking for cyberpunk and gonna stay longer just because of quality of these lets plays. Cant stand these live streams with thank you for your donation/subscription bs every 10 seconds. How its so popular is beyond me
That is one game I CANNOT watch people play. I don't know what it is about me or the game, but I get SO FRUSTRATED watching people come to incorrect conclusions. Especially when they're convinced about something that is wrong and it leads to even more wrong conclusions. Don't want to come off as Sherlock Holms though, that game took me forever to finish.
You can check for discrepancies with everything, if you need to match fingerprints just use the inspect mode (I often check some of the things by looking and meanwhile use inspect to check at the same time so I save time and don't have to check everything myself) And more importantly stuff like Dari Ludum, just inspect the note the girl gave you with his name in either document and you could have detained him.
Hell yes! Lucas Pope, the developer of this game, is a genius! I hope this game will make you feel like striking Obra Dinn, arguably his magnum opus, of your list as well
@@alessiobenvenuto5159 It's the only game that can compare to the feeling of discovery you get from Outer Wilds, at least to me. When you manage to make a connection between two characters and untangle who they are and how they died, it's awesome.
@@OfnionGidnir you might want to check out 'Heaven's Vault' then, it takes an Obra Din-like approach to deciphering a lost hieroglyphic language and the general sense of mystery as the plot unraveled came close to Outer Wilds for me
This game has teached me a lot. Specifically, it did teach me how to very quickly verify that I correctly copied a credit card number. Normally, I wouldn't complain that you talk too much. I quite enjoy that. But in this game, you need to blaze through people if you want to keep your family in good health. I think it's ok to pause the game when you need to talk for longer. It isn't cheating since you cannot really use this to gain more time for validating the data in documents.
Loved the roleplay and characterization! It must be almost impossible to be as fast as this game requires AND able to keep up with the requirements of recording a lets play. I really look forward to seeing how this goes, and the seeing your opinion on Contraband Police afterwards, as it is in a similar vein, but different!
I remember seeing Jack play this game long ago and so I’ve always thought of Jorji as a silly character. Never thought of the empathy you have for his situation- and that adds a new dimension to the gameplay 😁
The entire game is a social commentary. Too many people make it about following the rules, which (ironically) is part of the social commentary that totally goes over most people's heads.
* All family hungry cold and sick * Mapocalops: "I think we did pretty well" This game was tough for me too first time, its got really good difficulty progression vause as soon as you get the hang of a new mechanic they add something else new, while occasionally testing you with some earlier basic stuff that you might get complacent with, there's no wrong way to play though as there are multiple endings.
I didn't think I'd laugh this much watching a let's play of Papers, Please, but your commentary and acting has managed to make even a game with a setting like this hilarious. Well done. 👏
This is unexpected, after Inscryption another gem of game. I love that you are trying out some smaller games. There are so many great but small games out there. :)
I GENUINELY THOUGHT MY INTERNET WAS GOING AWFUL AND LOOKED UP THE RESOLUTION WHEN THE INTRO WAS COMING UP. Keep up with the good content mapo, you play my favorite games, i love you.
ahahaha that was amazing, your commentary during scanning gave me especially many laughs! And don't worry about feeling pressure/stress, that's pretty much part of the game. Also whether you will choose to play in a according-to-law, more humane or max benefit way is completely up to you, I hope you will do a couple runs at least :)
Like Inscryption, this is another game I really liked but had to quit! This one gave me so much anxiety and I felt so bad saying no so I would let people in that I shouldn’t lol, but I would recommend it to people who love the marriage of gameplay and story. The way your openings are tailored to each game is so fun. Makes me look forward to new games. ETA: “It’s fingerprint time, bitch” I love this channel
Probably because you judge people based on their accents and nothing else? What if a redneck hillbilly from Kentucky was playing the game? What would you think then, even if the commentary was exactly the same?
Ah, glory to Arstotzka! Best country! This is a neat little game, one minute you're just learning the ropes, next you're worried because your wife and son are dying of hunger and disease and people are being shot around you and everyday at work you wonder if they're gonna blow up your checkpoint with you in it... Everything is so simplistic yet so effective and immersive. It's been a while since I saw someone play this through, I'm looking forward to this! Glory to Arstotzka, friend! And good luck.
you’re the first person i’ve seen who actually figured out how to arrest lestrade immediately, that one and the dani situation unanimously get people stuck

Waheyyyy, this should fit right in with your kind of thing I reckon =D should be a blast - also I think pausing for commentary is fine, you're not avoiding the timer to get an advantage, just to share your thoughts =]
I think most people are tripped up when they first encounter the guy with no passport. I do like the almost childlike logic that "there is a discrepancy between this desk, and the rule saying there should be a passport on the desk", but it takes some figuring out for most people. :D By the way, I think it's fine to pause when commenting or discussing the game. It gets stressful enough as it is :D
This is great. I love that you play some of these great indie titles on the channel, I hope you keep them coming. I can definitely recommend Return of the Obra Dinn by the same author and Hypnospace Outlaw, especially if you were around during the early days of the internet :)
