I never understood how they could just relocate a farming community. That would lead to severe hardship - abandoning their crops, and going to a new place where nothing has been planted.
You know, now that Jason Momoa is a huge star, a Ronon Dex led series in the SGU could be quite something if done right. Could even bring some characters back.
Because a golf bag passing through the stargate would cause it to explode and then chain the explosion to every other stargate in both galaxies and all the ones planted by the Destiny and all her sister ships. ikr!
worse: earth would never have given up the city in the first place. its a strategix resource which by the way, also controls access to earth from an area with a hostile alien nation. nope. ancients would just have had to settle somewhere else and live with it.
"I can't leave my people" "I can't leave until every last wraith is dead" Oh yeah sure that's true in the final episode of the show... (Not blaming them for it being rushed)
I really admire you, including Ronon, he is the true and genius that has ever been created by our creator. He is a man blessed by God, and by our ancestors
Dwight Stewart Iirc the Daedalus was in hyperspace between Pegasus and the Milky Way when McKay detected an ancient warship traveling at high sunlight speed. Daedalus picked them up and they took over Atlantis. They asked the expedition to leave. Later the Pegasus replicators handed the ancients their posteriors. i loved SGA, but i never really figured out what point teyla had in the show in the l8r seasons? in the beginning it made sense, knowlegde of the galaxy and knowing people. but l8r on she just seemed to become pointless. im sorry but it felt like they needed a woman in the team to mix it up. it didnt really get the feeling of growth from her. john, mckay, ronan all changed ever so slightly but not her really:-(
I agree and I felt that way at the time the show came out too. I think the Tayla character was never developed that well, they tried certain things but it just felt off and then Ronon came in and did her character type a lot better, leaving her even less relevant. Feels almost like they had plans for the character which fell through for various reasons, and then they just never had a real payoff to aim for eventually. Even the stuff with Michael and her baby didn't help her, in fact it made her feel somehow even less developed, more helpless and pointless to me. Honestly I would rather they had kept Ford around and ditched Tayla, I felt he had more of a character arc than she ever did.
@@NATIK001 yeah. en the short term Ford was around, he showed himself of more then Teyla. hell, even some of the side characters done better then her. and it was suchs a shame really. could have done alot with her, but no. again, i think they just wanted a female on the team. an team like sg-1. Mckay is Carter, Ronan is tealc, Sheppard is oniell/mitchell and then they needed teyla to be their version of Daniel. but they never really made it that far.
Go ahead and tell me that this wasn't one of the best scripted and acted tv series ever produced in the space opera genre. I'll wait. Ok... ok... Battlestar Galactica was good too. What else? Be realistic.
Ronon yeeting Sheppard like a small child will never get old.
I feel like Ronon picking up Sheppard wasn't scripted
I'm not sure. It shows what a big loveable goofball Ronon was deep down inside.
Also, that seems to be a thing Jason Momoa likes to do (sneaking up behind people and grabbing them), so it could have just been Jason.
Just love it how they interact xxxx❤🙋♀️🇬🇧🇩🇪

Kirsty McAllister tell that to the Ancients
I love this moment between these three. Thanks for posting.
I love John's "this sucks" moments
Still love when Jason picks up Joe. 😊😊😊😊

shame MGM gave up on stargate series like these
The ancients have taken over the city, and John is returning to earth and Ronon and Teyla are relocating to a different planet with the Athosians.
I doubt Stargate command would send a golf bag to another world.
Because a golf bag passing through the stargate would cause it to explode and then chain the explosion to every other stargate in both galaxies and all the ones planted by the Destiny and all her sister ships.
ikr!
I imagine he brought it back with him in his luggage after a trip back to earth.
Why not ? they sent Rodney.
Why not, O’Neill used the gate as a driving range.
@@cleveryoutubename4445that part of that episode was hilarious 😂
Later the ancients get wiped out off screen making this a colossal waste of time.
That still bugs me, they couldn't have thought of a better way to remove the ancients???

Was this the last episode?
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what's happening too. These segments mean nothing unless you've seen them in context.

skyserf .. Okay, that makes a little more sense. So they're only leaving temporarily, not the last episode of the series like David (and I) thought.
Dwight Stewart Yes sir
@@dwightstewart7181 Yes, but they think it's permanent.
hello the stargatais how are you, you are doing a good job. and I really admire all your films, you form a wonderful team
They don’t even know who Johnny Cash is!
Love that they used “Solitary Man” to close out the episode “Vegas”.
Pretty sure they heard John playing Johnny Cash music a few times over the years
Why are they packing?
Ancients kicked them out

A distant galaxy and they still speak English.
Well the show would be kinda hard to follow if they were speaking Gibberish wouldn't it?
Translator microbes, everyone coming into Atlantis gets a set of the little buggers that allow humanoids to understand and speak the native languages.
Everybody always complains about British Empire but space exploration would be way harder without them.
