Not a chance. I know what happens to a golf ball when the impact sounds like that. If he's insanely lucky it went about a third of the distance that John's did. Worse, he's got maybe five swings before his arm is going to be feeling the strain from the torque he's putting on it. My golf game got so much better when I worked out a one-handed swing. That? That's what it looks like and sounds like when you're doing it wrong. It puts a lot of strain in the shoulder and elbow and about half your power is trying to spin the club in your hand. It can feel like you're striking with the hammer of God and the ball won't manage to go a single yard on a direct hit. Yeah, Ronon's supposed to be a badass, but the writers of this scene really have no appreciation for how hard the one-handed swing really is.
The funniest part about that is he's going fishing with Rodney. He doesn't want to spend hours with Rodney, he needs other people there to keep him sane. I wouldn't want to go fishing with Rodney either. And then...ya know.
Yeah it really hurt when he died in this episode especially since people said no. Also the allusion to the explosions when he said he had a pain in his stomach or chest.
When Carson and Rodney get to the fishing spot, they're going to find a Record-Breaking-Space-Trout already floating belly up after being hit by Ronan's golf ball.
Indeed Stargate SG-1 episode window of opportunity when O'Neal and teal'c we're in the same day time week month year and you get to do anything you want without consequences that was funny O'Neal and teal'c do whatever they want playing golf with the Stargate and O'Neal kiss Samantha Carter
Mom.'s ball went into orbit. Pretty funny until one of the shuttles blew up with two side characters on a training mission on a cancelled episode. Pretty sad. Worst part is one of them had a pet hamster and no one realized until they found it horribly dehydrated and had to euthanize it days, later. I'm glad they decided to cancel that episode. Too sad.
The fact that Jason ACTUALLY did smack the living crap out of the ball with the driver one handed &they didn't even need to use special effects that was literally how violently loud it sounded irl still cracks me up to this day 😂
I would have watched five seasons of Teal'c, PI. My only question is what kind of car did they give him. Was it flashy, or something that would just be confusing like a 1990s minivan.
I love these guys... Why do they always have to cancel the best shows?? And let's note, yet again, what a tear-jerker this episode was. 💔😢 I miss Stargate Atlantis & Dark Matter. 😭😭😭
@@gg-eo6ez ugh, they did it to bring in a love interest for Rodney. I did not like it that they shoved her down our throats. They were a terrible match.
Okay... Ronon owns :D SG-A never pulls any punches when it comes to slapping a main character in the face. Damn shame John gets owned by the two aliens as well. :< Thumbs up if you want to live like Ronon for a few years (because setting up bear-traps and killing humanoid mosquitos is awesome, as well all know). - H
Gotta love how Ronan simplifies everything, yet the impact is POWERFUL. Can you imagine how implementation of a 'Ronan' would affect paperwork in a company... in a bank... or even in a government agency? Wait.... what paperwork? XD
That's all good and dandy until somebody has to look up something that happened 2 years ago. And then you'd wish you had some paperwork that tells you what happened.
@@victorselve8349 Don't you think 10 years is a little long to be replying to a comment? I mean I was umming and arring at replying to yours which is 2 years old.
The weird thing to think about is after millions of years so little was left behind on that planet when Atlantis was forced to relocate. All they left was the geo-thermal power platform, a refurbished puddle jumper, and a bunch of golf balls. And all these at the bottom of the sea.
True. But Quinlan vos is already In the prequels, he's only in for like a few frames in episode 1 on tatooine, I believe it's when sebulba and jar jar have a little face off. And apparently that's what gave rise to the comic adaptation of Quinlan.

They live in a distant galaxy and can rarely go back to earth but somehow they have a huge enough supply of golfballs to waste them by driving them in to the ocean
Ronon goes all Happy Gilmore . Polo was the Sport of Kings , Chess if it's raining 😂. And Record Breaking Space Trout . " Could you send the Daedalus please , the Jumper isn't big enough " .
Somewhere, in a distant planet, a Wraith is hit by a golf ball.
amazing though.
Sg1 time loop episode?

Who knew that 12 years after his arrival, he'd get to run Atlantis.
Jason's life came full circle.. Amazing...
Ha!
What do you mean? Ronan never takes command of Atlantis
@Lightningwarrior He plays Aquaman which is the King of Atlantis in the new JL movies.
But Arthur Curry, played by Jason Momoa, does
Jason became such a huge star, but this show is where he got his first big break.
I knew early on that somewhere in his future there was a part waiting for him (and I didn't think it was GoT).
From respect for the Atlantans to being one.
Some would say it was baywatch
He was amazing and i am glad to say i saw him in this show first. Hilarious and one of the toughest people ive seen.
Loved him as Ronon Dex.
@Byrnzi360,
Hammond: "Colonel O'Niell what the hell are you doing?!"
Jack: "In the middle of my back swing?!"
Still better than sheppard because he shot through the gate. 300 billion miles i think.
I laughed my ass off at that episode. "Window of Opportunity." Thank you dad for getting me hooked on Stargate SG-1.
when Carson came in asking "anyone wanna go fishing with me." I just cant help but feel sad
It's a great setup to make all the characters feel in part responsible.
The funniest part about that is he's going fishing with Rodney. He doesn't want to spend hours with Rodney, he needs other people there to keep him sane. I wouldn't want to go fishing with Rodney either. And then...ya know.
Lord Kira Carson said Rodney and him were going fishing.
Yeah it really hurt when he died in this episode especially since people said no. Also the allusion to the explosions when he said he had a pain in his stomach or chest.
Imagine if carson was actually talking about spear fishing.
Ronon's drives made it to the mainland. After all, he had to make it over the "water hazard."
When Carson and Rodney get to the fishing spot, they're going to find a Record-Breaking-Space-Trout already floating belly up after being hit by Ronan's golf ball.

I like how John tried to hit the ball the same way Ronon did at the end LOL!
The best Stargate golfing moment was when O'Neill was driving golf balls through an active gate in the SGC. Then he got yelled at by Hammond.
