I really recommend using black paper visual diaries and black canvases as well as a creative exercise. As you said, they are great for use with metallics, white and light colours, pastels, and neons. I work at an art and craft shop and try to recommend these to customers looking for something different to try. I've got one myself and have heaps of ideas - just need the time to try them out. Also so satisfying to use...and unique! If you have any wink of stella shimmer brush pens, they can be used for a swash of shimmer colour (kind of like a highlighter or your supertips on white) on the background with your white or gel pens on top. Just make sure you use the drier ones, since the juicy ones might put out too much shimmer (I guess you could use fineliner in that case!)

Ahhh you make me want to get a black bujo. I thought it would be more difficult outlining spreads and fixing mistakes but it seems to be easier than your typical almost-white regular bujo pages. I'm loving these moon spreads too.
I have the blackout journal from archer and olive and I prefer the “starlight” (or something of that nature) style gelly rolls better than the metallics. They resemble the neon pack but the blues and purples actually show up which is really nice to have that option. Also those paint markers work really well if you want to cover a larger amount of space.

I'm honestly loving the outcome of this black bullet journal paper, and I'm considering getting this instead of the conventional white papered notebooks. Ugh so beautiful.
I love the idea of the black pages but I wish there were notebooks with both? Like a month's worth of white and then a month's worth of black so you could switch it up because I'm not sure I want to commit to 6 months of all black page bujoing
I have been looking at these journals so much! I don't really bullet journal in spreads, but I have really been wanting to get one and use it because it just looks neat. The next question would be to go to the fountain pen community and see if they can recommend a fluorescent ink that would work. As much as I love my gel pens, I would love to use my fountain pen with this journal.
