Got my first Zippo on my road trip to Bristol a few days ago. It has the Chevrolet Logo on it, with a skull and two wrenches. This video really encouraged me to begin a collection. thanks 😉
Very nice collections. I want to start on my own too, but here in my country, original made in USA Zippo is considered luxurious, a bit expensive compared to China made Zippos, but you cant beat the ori one, its legend 'clicking' sound & built quality too!
collectors tend to remove the sticker in order to preserve the finish on the lighter. sometimes the sticker does mess up the finish, its happened to one of mine. a zippo will work forever as long as its properly maintained. a new zippo which is five years old will still work as if it was just made yesterday as long as the flint inside doesnt rot. if you plan on storing your zippo for long periods of time ... remove the flint !
Zippo lighters are really cool, I don't smoke either but they're just cool because of their designs and stuff. The first one I bought was the one with a real clover leaf put in a piece of plastic or whatever it is. I loved the one from Indiana Jones and the last crusade but I couldn't find that one.
Hi I am from India...I always knew people had collection of stamps, coins, cameras etc but lighters thats a new thing for me! Amazing just discovered zippo in Airport today.. Can a non smoker use lighter for fun and emergency uses? how are european lighters different from zippo?
T.C.X. S.T.X. they actually never produced that one but you can find the shark decals online for about 10 bucks and pick up a regular silver chrome zippo for another 10 bucks at walmart and bam ! a replica of pyro's zippo for 20 bucks
Good afternoon, you have a wonderful collection and it’s very interesting to watch. But I did not see the rare lighter that was released in 1997 for the anniversary of 65 years of production
i got the idea from my uncle who lives in italy and collects table lighters, but for me, theres just something special about zippos, i was hooked after buying my first. i wanted to collect something cool and more adult oriented and stray away from trading cards, figures and video games like most people in my age group collect. they also keep their value and can be passed onto later generations as well.
im super late with this response but after doing some research, that zebra pants playboy zippo is actually pretty rare and valuable, its worth at least 5 times (on ebay) what i paid for it years ago lol
hey there, zippo collecting is a popular hobby here in america, zippos can always be carried for emergency situations and for fun as well, not quite sure what european lighter your referring to but zippos are available worldwide. ive noticed theyre more expensive in other countries because they are imported from america.
Wow, amazing collection, ive also started collecting various lighters, but shockingly i have no zippos, will be purchasing one that attracts me, any tips on purchasing used zippos? Anything i should look out for?
The Vintage and the playboy zebra pants are, for me , the bests :) Good collection. (If you like the candy apple reds try to find the "diablo", is the best in my opinion)
I have a collection of my own. I only have 26, I bought them all when they were on sale during the last 10 years( most of them are worth twice what I paid for them). I'd like to find a nice display case to keep them. Thanks for sharing
i collect them .... i had them on display but the case i owned came from a tobacco shop and stunk so i sold it. theyre sitting in a box now until i can find a new case.
that cool, ive recently started doing the same. Whenever i get a new one, i take off the sticker, clean off any residue and remove the flint. mine currently arent on display at the moment but will be soon. Im looking for a new case, mine only fits around 50 and i have over 60 now
as long as the lid on your zippo closes properly, fluid will evaporate slowly and last a little longer. every liquid fluid zippo functions the same way, try a zippo blu which uses butane, the butane lasts a lot longer.
@zippo9211989 yes, agreed ! the metal cases add a nice touch when displaying them, i just bought an old rotating zippo display from a local tobacco shop, best 70 dollars ive ever spent, makes the lighters look amazing !!
How do collectors like to see the lighter? I've heard sticker off and flint removed. Is this correct? or do they like sticker on as NIB? I have qty ( 2 one I use) 04- K limited Ed- Raised etching pheasant hunting- bird, hunter w/ dog.
Robert Tyrrell personally, I removed the stickers and flints from all of mine, the sticker residue could potentially damage the paint over time and I've had to drill out a corroded flint out of a 30+ year old Zippo, wasn't fun lol fortunately I had a thin enough drill bit and no damage was done to the lighter
depends on how you look at it, id rather protect the finish on the lighter then worry about it loosing its value due to not having a sticker, 20 years later, my lighters wont have blemishes on their finishes from the sticker residue .... besides, these lighters will never be sold anyways, im keeping them forever
i got a solid copper zippo but im kinda worried it's fake...it's from A of 06 but i thought they only made copper zippos in 2003 and 2008? and it also has a brass or copper plated insert (not sure which)...is it fake?
due to the massive response this video has gotten, and the fact that my collection has doubled since ive uploaded this video, i will be recording an updated collection video soon and uploading it asap for you guys to enjoy
Серега с ХP Deus hey, yes I've removed the flint from all my lighters as well as the spring for long term storage. doing so avoids flints rotting inside the lighter and clogging it. they can easily be put back together should I choose to sell them.
I just got my first Star like Zippo lighters and I take it the name is the only thing that's different about them! I wanted to get a zippo but the guy gave me a deal 2 for $30. and a small tin of lighter fluid valued at $5. so how could I pass it up! One is a Libra steel blue, I wanted to get a blue one in my fav color and the other is a nice gold with a star like pattern on it. The shop is Shefield & Sons Tobacconists, they been around since 1976.
ive got no idea where you saw black, im assuming you mean its black inside the lid ? probably bad lighting, none of my lighters have ever been stricken
Hey man i just stared collecting Zippos and i love your video and Collection. I don't know if you want to share this but how much money do you think you have in you collection? :)
Christian Broshears easily over $1000 bucks worth, my collection has grown tremendously since i posted this video, i have about 100 now and a few of them are really valuable
keyword, Australia lol zippos are produced in america so if youre buying them in another country, you have to consider that they are an imported item so shops charge more
David Vonderhaar just did a quick ebay search, look for "scrolled feather" (i hope that's the one you meant), there were 3 results, all international items but priced at under 30 bucks
Very nice collection! Ive got a zippo marked with a logo on the bottom, it is like a flame with an A inside.does anybody knows what this mean? Its from june 2009
howed you get it im 11 and my parents think ill burn the house down my uncle got me a hunting knife for christmas and my mom wont let me sharpen it it came with a flat blade
yeah but everything in singapore is expensive as hell lol i have lots of friends who live there, when the visit the states theyre so thrilled about how cheap everything is
Dude you want to remove those flints and all stickers. The flints will deteriorate after a few years, becoming like cement and may rupture the flint tube. Leaving the stickers on will make it impossible to remove the glue residue.
You must be a damn wonderful friend for your friends to see a lighter and instantly think, I should buy that for him.
I love the peace on the side lighter
Nice collection. Thanks for posting.
SpaceRogue80 thanks ! i appreciate the comment
Got my first Zippo on my road trip to Bristol a few days ago. It has the Chevrolet Logo on it, with a skull and two wrenches. This video really encouraged me to begin a collection. thanks 😉
sorry for the insanely late response but they do come with a flint, the fluid you have to buy yourself and fill up the lighter before use

The Jack Daniel ones are the best.
because i collect them, and as a collector i like to keep my lighters clean and new
Hi I am from India...I always knew people had collection of stamps, coins, cameras etc but lighters thats a new thing for me! Amazing just discovered zippo in Airport today..
Can a non smoker use lighter for fun and emergency uses?
how are european lighters different from zippo?
Your collection is the best ive seen
they are great survival lighters if you go camping you can use them
Fascinating! Wow. That's A LOT of Lighters!
really nice collection!
Awesome Zippo collection. Im just starting to collect zippo's and i also don't smoke I'm just a pyro as you cant tell by my username lol.
that one pyro zippo used in X-Men 2 must be hard to find, I want one for my collection it would be sweet!!
T.C.X. S.T.X. they actually never produced that one but you can find the shark decals online for about 10 bucks and pick up a regular silver chrome zippo for another 10 bucks at walmart and bam ! a replica of pyro's zippo for 20 bucks
DigitalMonsterz ive actually done this so i could have one in my collection
okay sweet! Right now I'm big into just zippo colors, maybe get into some designs later. I wonder if I could get that same zippo Pyro had in X-MEN 2.
Good afternoon, you have a wonderful collection and it’s very interesting to watch. But I did not see the rare lighter that was released in 1997 for the anniversary of 65 years of production
its a hobby, i enjoy collecting lighters, mostly for their artwork and they look amazing when displayed
i got the idea from my uncle who lives in italy and collects table lighters, but for me, theres just something special about zippos, i was hooked after buying my first. i wanted to collect something cool and more adult oriented and stray away from trading cards, figures and video games like most people in my age group collect. they also keep their value and can be passed onto later generations as well.

The Heart Attack is badass!

you really need to get a Bob marley zippo! Classic!
The jack Daniels lighter is👌👌👌
I have the Jack Daniels one, golden version, got it as a birthday gift
Wow, amazing collection, ive also started collecting various lighters, but shockingly i have no zippos, will be purchasing one that attracts me, any tips on purchasing used zippos? Anything i should look out for?
Asad Saeed shop around, you can find zippos much cheaper online on sites like ebay, avoid knock offs, theyre usually shitty quality and not worth much
i would like ot have the jack daniels !
yes ! my favorite, wish i could find another one for a good price, just to carry
Nice collection .
The Vintage and the playboy zebra pants are, for me , the bests :) Good collection. (If you like the candy apple reds try to find the "diablo", is the best in my opinion)

i have that same heart-attack zippo, its one of my favorite too!
i collect them .... i had them on display but the case i owned came from a tobacco shop and stunk so i sold it. theyre sitting in a box now until i can find a new case.

I have a red supreme one, and a raw rolling paper one
i ordered my first zippo , coming via mail in about 2 weeks , its a classic 205 , cant wait !
Wow!! I like the 3rd you showed with the dragon ,another one with a hand, the blue with the peace sign and i looooved the red with the heart!
well they are an imported item in canada so its understandable the price goes up when you factor in import taxes and shipping to canada from the usa
like man!! i can see that you really like your collection
@zippo9211989 yes, agreed ! the metal cases add a nice touch when displaying them, i just bought an old rotating zippo display from a local tobacco shop, best 70 dollars ive ever spent, makes the lighters look amazing !!
skull and crossbones one is sick, 2000s vibes
yeah for a 12 year old lol
That heart attack one is really cool man

Really cool dude they are so cool i love zippos it is like they have there own personalities
If you dont mind me asking, why do you collect them?
Thanks for making this video, I'm getting the peace on the side one and another one called spectrum
Can you tell me what is the best zippo to buy I meen one with the best fluid consumption... Thanks
Where do you usually find zippos sold in metal cases? I've only seen the classic black packaging until now
Marcu Tudor thats an older style of packaging, theyre still around mostly in smoke shops
Camel lighter the most expensive lighter 3 secs later hits repeatedly on his hand lol good vid
depends on how you look at it, id rather protect the finish on the lighter then worry about it loosing its value due to not having a sticker, 20 years later, my lighters wont have blemishes on their finishes from the sticker residue .... besides, these lighters will never be sold anyways, im keeping them forever
I have a high polish chrome camel zippo from 1993 how did you end up taking the sticker off?
fortunately they peel off really easy and I saved them within each zippos box
i got a solid copper zippo but im kinda worried it's fake...it's from A of 06 but i thought they only made copper zippos in 2003 and 2008? and it also has a brass or copper plated insert (not sure which)...is it fake?
Why is it weird to carry a knife? I carry a knife everyday for basic utility tasks.
Im lust starting my zippo collection what do you carry yours for if you don't smoke like me?
Cool collection.
26 dollars !!!!!! Cheap for one like that in Australian tobacco shop would be about $70 you guys are so lucky....
i dont know about u guys but i used to play with lighters from age of 7 i think just watching the fire or burn little stick was awesome.
check out hobby or arts and crafts stores such as michaels .... they do occasionally have display cases on sale.
Can't argue with that.
When you buy zippos do you have to put flint and fluid in the lighter?
Please respond!
Christopher Gatti flint come pre installed but you have to put fluid yourself.
You don't smoke but have all these lighters ? Are they for barbequeing?
no there for collecting .... what's so hard to grasp about this concept ?
@@DigitalMonsterz I would too, but there aren't any where I live. They are snazzy.
I fells asleep watching this cuz it was 2 am
But thats cool
How much you want for dooms one?
We LOVE Ur Collection. We Dnt Have The Choice Over Here in Ireland
due to the massive response this video has gotten, and the fact that my collection has doubled since ive uploaded this video, i will be recording an updated collection video soon and uploading it asap for you guys to enjoy
When you keep the collection you have to remove the flint?
Серега с ХP Deus hey, yes I've removed the flint from all my lighters as well as the spring for long term storage. doing so avoids flints rotting inside the lighter and clogging it. they can easily be put back together should I choose to sell them.
DigitalMonsterz ok

I just got my first Star like Zippo lighters and I take it the name is the only thing that's different about them! ive got no idea where you saw black, im assuming you mean its black inside the lid ? probably bad lighting, none of my lighters have ever been stricken
Should remove stickers and flints for display. I have about 60 or so now. Nice collection.
I have a little under 100 now, I've removed all the stickers and flints to preserve the lighters
Hey man i just stared collecting Zippos and i love your video and Collection. I don't know if you want to share this but how much money do you think you have in you collection? :)

Are they all the same size?
Yes
what do you do with the lighters
how much for the fire star ive been looking for it to finish my collection of 78 zippos ill pay 45$
hi dig! I checked the zippo site and it appears that the club went defunct.i I am willing to part with the experimental, but it's not cheap.
Can someone PLEASE tell me where I could buy the Swirled Letter Zippo!
David Vonderhaar i picked that one up about 7+ years ago, may be difficult to come across now but try ebay, you never know
David Vonderhaar just did a quick ebay search, look for "scrolled feather" (i hope that's the one you meant), there were 3 results, all international items but priced at under 30 bucks
DigitalMonsterz Thank you so much dude I've been trying to find that Zippo like crazy.Thank you so much!

Very nice collection! Ive got a zippo marked with a logo on the bottom, it is like a flame with an A inside.does anybody knows what this mean? Its from june 2009

howed you get it im 11 and my parents think ill burn the house down my uncle got me a hunting knife for christmas and my mom wont let me sharpen it it came with a flat blade
you should always take the sticker off, kit can damage the finish on the lighter
yeah but everything in singapore is expensive as hell lol i have lots of friends who live there, when the visit the states theyre so thrilled about how cheap everything is
why dnt u use them?
I really like the camel and heart attack lighter
Patrick bowles u ugly asl lmao
Dude you want to remove those flints and all stickers. The flints will deteriorate after a few years, becoming like cement and may rupture the flint tube. Leaving the stickers on will make it impossible to remove the glue residue.
i started collecting them when i was 18, employed and responsible lol theres no reason an 11 year old needs to possess a lighter.
why dont you use them??
Cool
